To pass His test with integrity

I will lead a life of integrity
in my own home.
3I will refuse to look at
anything vile and vulgar.

They bruised his feet with fetters
and placed his neck in an iron collar.
19Until the time came to fulfill his dreams,105:19 Hebrew his word.
the Lord tested Joseph’s character.

Lord God,
may I pass you test of character and lead a life of integrity. Protect my eyes and thoughts and may I seek only what is good.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Essense

Unfailing love and truth walk before you as attendants.
15Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship,
for they will walk in the light of your presence, Lord.
16They rejoice all day long in your wonderful reputation.
They exult in your righteousness.
17You are their glorious strength.
It pleases you to make us strong.

Lord God,
Help me to trust in your control, allow me to accept your strength and protect me from thoughts and actions that do not bring you glory.
In Jesus name,
Amen

To live in His presence

Let those who hate God run for their lives.
2Blow them away like smoke.
Melt them like wax in a fire.
Let the wicked perish in the presence of God.
3But let the godly rejoice.

Lord God,
may I follow you closely, so close I am only in your power. Protect me from my sinful way and replace the desire of this world with your desire. May I delight you in all things today.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Fool for the Lord

so I celebrate before the Lord. 22Yes, and I am willing to look even more foolish than this, even to be humiliated in my own eyes!

Uzzah reached out his hand to steady the Ark. 10Then the Lord’s anger was aroused against Uzzah, and he struck him dead because he had laid his hand on the Ark. So Uzzah died there in the presence of God

Lord God,
may I give you all my glory and not worry about this world and how it may judge me. May I be free to celebrate with all I am your glory and goodness. May I fear you to the point I am free of myself and a servant to your will.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Actually trust in the Lord

Then his people believed his promises.
Then they sang his praise.
13Yet how quickly they forgot what he had done!
They wouldn’t wait for his counsel!
14In the wilderness their desires ran wild,
testing God’s patience in that dry wasteland.

The people refused to enter the pleasant land,
for they wouldn’t believe his promise to care for them.
25Instead, they grumbled in their tents
and refused to obey the Lord.

Lord God,
May I live in your glory, not in my desires. May I be patient and wait for your council and not do things on my own today. May I live wholeheartedly for you.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Praise the Lord

Let all that I am praise the lord.
O lord my God, how great you are!

O lord, what a variety of things you have made!
In wisdom you have made them all.

I will sing to the lord as long as I live.
I will praise my God to my last breath!
34May all my thoughts be pleasing to him,
for I rejoice in the lord.

Lord God,
You are awesome in all you created, who am I that you made me and love me so much to make a way for me to be with you. May all my thoughts and actions please you this day.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Faithful

So Saul died because he was unfaithful to the lord. He failed to obey the lord’s command, and he even consulted a medium

Lord God,
May I be faithful to you alone, Lord God, strip me of my unfaithfulness and forgive me of my sin. I have been unfaithful and put my ways before yours, give me the power to release me from my past sin and live today with you, may I delight you with my faith today.

In Jesus name,
Amen

I surrender to His truth.

“But no, my people wouldn’t listen.
Israel did not want me around.
12So I let them follow their own stubborn desires,
living according to their own ideas.
13Oh, that my people would listen to me!
Oh, that Israel would follow me, walking in my paths!

It is good to give thanks to the lord,
to sing praises to the Most High.
2It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning,
your faithfulness in the evening,

Your royal laws cannot be changed.

Lord God,
I am tired of living by my ideas, I surrender to your desire. Give me the power I need to overcome my way and walk with you. I thank you Lord for my freedom, I now freely choose you and want to only follow you. Your law is truth, may I live in your truth.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Stubborn, oh yea. May I be stubborn for the Lord, not me

Then I realized that my heart was bitter,
and I was all torn up inside.

Yet I still belong to you;
you hold my right hand.
24You guide me with your counsel,
leading me to a glorious destiny.

So each generation should set its hope anew on God,
not forgetting his glorious miracles
and obeying his commands.
8Then they will not be like their ancestors—
stubborn, rebellious, and unfaithful,
refusing to give their hearts to God.

But in spite of this, the people kept sinning.
Despite his wonders, they refused to trust him.

Lord God,
I ask you to take my nature from me, my sinful nature and protect me from my past. Lord God, may I follow you without the rebellious spirit of my past, may I wholeheartedly open myself up to your council and not stray from your path you put before me before my birth. May I simply delight in your way and not the way of this world or my desire.
In Jesus name,
Amen

I give up, I surrender

Why am I discouraged?
Why is my heart so sad?
I will put my hope in God!
I will praise him again—
my Savior and my God!

You are the one who gives us victory over our enemies;

Lord God,
Change my heart to call on you for everything in my life, I surrender to your wisdom and am sorry for my past where I thought I was in charge. Lord God allow me to delight you in all things this day and bring your purpose to this world thru my surrender to your will.

In Jesus name,
Amen
