If you fight against the Babylonians, you will not succeed.

They turned their backs to me and not their faces; though I taught them again and again, they would not listen or respond to discipline.

I will cleanse them from all the sin they have committed against me and will forgive all their sins of rebellion against me. 9Then this city will bring me renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it.’

‘If I have not made my covenant with day and night and established the laws of heaven and earth, 26then I will reject the descendants of Jacob and David my servant and will not choose one of his sons to rule over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For I will restore their fortunes and have compassion on them.’ ”

Lord God my Father,

Your plan is set and my desire to understand it only brings confusion to me. Cause me to constantly turn my face to you and trust in my faith without question. You are the only judge and your judgment is perfect. Help me to search for my compromise in you and give me direction and strength to overcome it so I may be obedient without concern.

“I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. 34No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the Lord. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”

Lord God my Father,

You are God, the one and only. Lord God, help me to have you at the beginning of all my thoughts so your way can become my way. I struggle with my own thinking and answers where you have the perfect answer and solution in all situations. Help me to learn to be still and know you and your way so I may follow it before my own desires surface.

But as soon as Jeremiah finished telling all the people everything the Lord had commanded him to say, the priests, the prophets and all the people seized him and said, “You must die! 

this is what the Lord says: I will surely punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants. He will have no one left among this people, nor will he see the good things I will do for my people, declares the Lord, because he has preached rebellion against me.’ ”

Lord God my Father,

Your way is Truth and order. I desire to have only one draw on my thoughts, yours. Open my heart and mind to allow your perfect Peace to rest on me and protect me from a wondering mind. Open my eyes to see your beauty from your desire and inspire me to carry only what you wish in my thoughts. Show your way to me and cause me to follow it step my step. Thank you for being my one and only God.

I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord.

Lord God my Father,

You know me and you know the struggle of my heart. Lord God, I want to be delivered from my sinful desires and live by your design and desire. Remove the power of my craving and allow your Peace to overwhelm my thoughts. Your way restores and I want to experience your way and be used for your Glory.

If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down and destroyed, 8and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned. 9And if at another time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be built up and planted, 10and if it does evil in my sight and does not obey me, then I will reconsider the good I had intended to do for it.

They said, “Come, let’s make plans against Jeremiah; for the teaching of the law by the priest will not cease, nor will counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophets. So come, let’s attack him with our tongues and pay no attention to anything he says.”

Lord God my Father,

Your way is order and truth. I cry out for America; Soften the hearts of your people so we may see your way and give us courage to do your will. Block the progress of evil and expose it and it’s intentions to destroy. Unite our hearts do do your will so we may be the light that restores your place in our life. Bring unity and praise to you and you alone so it is seen in all eyes I encounter. You are the Way, the Truth and the Light. This struggle is between good and evil and plays over and over. May it end well for your Glory.

Although our sins testify against us, do something, Lord, for the sake of your name. For we have often rebelled; we have sinned against you.

Do any of the worthless idols of the nations bring rain? Do the skies themselves send down showers? No, it is you, Lord our God. Therefore our hope is in you, for you are the one who does all this.

“Who will have pity on you, Jerusalem? Who will mourn for you? Who will stop to ask how you are? 6You have rejected me,” declares the Lord. “You keep on backsliding. So I will reach out and destroy you; I am tired of holding back.

“If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them. 20I will make you a wall to this people, a fortified wall of bronze; they will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you to rescue and save you,” declares the Lord. 21“I will save you from the hands of the wicked and deliver you from the grasp of the cruel.”

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.

The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? 10“I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”

Lord God my Father,

Your Grace is beyond understanding. I am a sinner, yet you bless me because I desire to grow past my nature and live in yours. Reveal the idols I have grown comfortable with and give me wisdom and strength to move past the compromise I have allowed. Restore me and use me to reveal your delight and give hope to all to seek you. I repent of my worldly desire and seek your eternal desire for me. Wash my mind and direct my life.

No one is like you, Lord; you are great, and your name is mighty in power.

 Lord, I know that people’s lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps. 24Discipline me, Lord, but only in due measure—

not in your anger, or you will reduce me to nothing. 25Pour out your wrath on the nations that do not acknowledge you, on the peoples who do not call on your name.

Lord God my Father,

You are creator and sustainer, your way leads to Peace, freedom and life. All we have is due to you allowing it. Help our hearts to be drawn to you alone and not fall prey to distractions that bring on disaster. Turn my desire to you and protect me from the great deceiver.

Therefore, what I did to Shiloh I will now do to the house that bears my Name, the temple you trust in, the place I gave to you and your ancestors. 15I will thrust you from my presence, just as I did all your fellow Israelites, the people of Ephraim.’

“ ‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: My anger and my wrath will be poured out on this place—on man and beast, on the trees of the field and on the crops of your land—and it will burn and not be quenched.

For when I brought your ancestors out of Egypt and spoke to them, I did not just give them commands about burnt offerings and sacrifices, 23but I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you.

The wise will be put to shame; they will be dismayed and trapped. Since they have rejected the word of the Lord, what kind of wisdom do they have?

Lord God my Father,

Your way is Life, Peace and Joy. Keep me from following my way which leads me away from you but to commit my way to become your way. Protect me from shinny things that get my attention and keep my focus on your light only. Bring quiet to my thoughts so I may hear yours and help me to trust in my faith without doubt in all situations. I am not in control, only you are.

“If you, Israel, will return, then return to me,” declares the Lord. “If you put your detestable idols out of my sight and no longer go astray, 2and if in a truthful, just and righteous way you swear, ‘As surely as the Lord lives,’ then the nations will invoke blessings by him and in him they will boast.”

“A horrible and shocking thing has happened in the land: 31The prophets prophesy lies, the priests rule by their own authority, and my people love it this way. But what will you do in the end?

Lord God my Father,

I am a sinner with a sinful nature, I repent of my way and surrender to follow your way. Please make my path straight and give me proper confidence to keep me from wondering off your way. Restore me to your original design and purpose, give me strength to do your will in all situations. I want to honor you in all parts of my life.

“Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. 8Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.

Today I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land—against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of the land. 19They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.

Lord God my Father,

You are all knowing and you know my heart. Allow me to know your Truth and give me strength to live by your plan. Remove my distractions and give me focus on your will. May this day serve you in surprising ways.
