But they soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his plan to unfold.

Then they despised the pleasant land; they did not believe his promise. 25They grumbled in their tents and did not obey the Lord.

Many times he delivered them, but they were bent on rebellion and they wasted away in their sin. 44Yet he took note of their distress when he heard their cry;

They reeled and staggered like drunkards; they were at their wits’ end. 28Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. 29He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. 30They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven.

Lord God my Father,

Your way is perfect, calm, orderly and peaceful. Help me to keep you at the front of every thought so you can lead me through the storms on calm seas. Keep me from the desire to walk in front of you and point out my desires, but to rest in your hand as you reveal the wisdom you wish me to learn. Your strength and Peace is all I need to believe I will be ok and better off by trusting you with all encounters. Thank you Lord for your patience and grace.

so David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I go and attack the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hands?”

The Lord answered him, “Go, for I will surely deliver the Philistines into your hands.”

And David became more and more powerful, because the Lord Almighty was with him.

Lord God my Father,

You are ever present and all knowing, Show me how to be at Peace so I remember to call on you constantly so I move in your will and avoid the stresses of my desires. Guide me and give me strength and boldness to follow your plan alone.

Praise the Lord, all his work everywhere in his dominion.

Praise the Lord, my soul.

Lord God my Father,

You are all mighty and infinite. Your work is perfect and draws your creation towards you. All praise is yours, without you there is only darkness. Thank you for your design and my ability to see it.

Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you.

When the Lord heard them, he was furious; his fire broke out against Jacob, and his wrath rose against Israel, 22for they did not believe in God or trust in his deliverance.

Lord God my Father,

You are the Truth and the Light, without you there is only darkness and deceit. I need you to survive and feel worthy, help me to have your discernment and only allow your way to guide me. Overwhelm my weakness with your strength.

 God delivered the Hagrites and all their allies into their hands, because they cried out to him during the battle. He answered their prayers, because they trusted in him. 

Lord God my Father,

I am weary and tired my Lord and desperate for your strength. Fill me and inspire me to move forward with your message and make me victorious for you this day.

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

I put no trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory; 7but you give us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.

Lord God my Father,

You are my strength and my hope, alone despair finds me, with you delight fills me. Show me where I am relying on myself so I may surrender it to you and be fully under your plan. Darkness attacks me but you protect and carry me to victory.

Away from me, all you who do evil, for the Lord has heard my weeping. 9The Lord has heard my cry for mercy; the Lord accepts my prayer.

I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.”

The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul.

The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.

8The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart.

The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.

Be exalted in your strength, Lord; we will sing and praise your might.

Lord God my Father,

Your way leads to Peace and order. All my strength comes from you and you alone. On my own, I am evil and selfish. Your Truth brings delight and quiets the soul. Fill me and overflow from my heart so you are seen in all my efforts.

In Jesus name I pray,

All the people took note and were pleased; indeed, everything the king did pleased them. 

Lord God my Father,

Your design brings order and Peace, help me to follow only your design and reveal why I allow storms to brew in my thoughts and direct me off your path. Show me how to allow your Peace to rest on me and completely restore me to your desire for my heart.

The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; 8the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? 4But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

Lord God my Father,

You are designer and creator, your way is freedom and peace. Watch over me and inspire me to learn from my poor decisions so your way can bring me peace and order.

 From the day you came to me until today, I have found no fault in you, but the rulers don’t approve of you. 7Now turn back and go in peace; do nothing to displease the Philistine rulers.”

The Lord lives! Praise be to my Rock!

Exalted be God my Savior!

Lord God my Father,

Make me like David, obedient above my desires. Allow your Peace to find me and clean my thoughts so your Peace rest well with me.
