The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; 8the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? 4But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

Lord God my Father,

You are designer and creator, your way is freedom and peace. Watch over me and inspire me to learn from my poor decisions so your way can bring me peace and order.

 From the day you came to me until today, I have found no fault in you, but the rulers don’t approve of you. 7Now turn back and go in peace; do nothing to displease the Philistine rulers.”

The Lord lives! Praise be to my Rock!

Exalted be God my Savior!

Lord God my Father,

Make me like David, obedient above my desires. Allow your Peace to find me and clean my thoughts so your Peace rest well with me.

But the king will rejoice in God;

all who swear by God will glory in him,

while the mouths of liars will be silenced.

Lord God my Father,

You are Joy and Peace, you bring order to things. I will rejoice in you in all things and give you the glory of victory over the darkness that constantly wants me. Protect me and make me aware of it’s lurking.

 No one saw or knew about it, nor did anyone wake up. They were all sleeping, because the Lord had put them into a deep sleep.

Lord God my Father,

Your plan is always best, guide me and give me confidence to follow your way so I may thrive and be an example of your servant.

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. 4In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid.

Set a guard over my mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips. 4Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil so that I take part in wicked deeds along with those who are evildoers;

Lord God my Father,

You are designer and provider, your plan is perfect. Help me to follow only your way so your Peace will rest well on me. Help me to follow your heart and transform mine to match yours. Guard my thoughts, words and works, so no wicked comes from me.

Whoever is pregnant with evil

conceives trouble and gives birth to disillusionment.

15Whoever digs a hole and scoops it out

falls into the pit they have made.

16The trouble they cause recoils on them;

their violence comes down on their own heads.

In my alarm I said,

“I am cut off from your sight!”

Yet you heard my cry for mercy

when I called to you for help.

The righteous person may have many troubles,

but the Lord delivers him from them all;

Lord God my Father,

You are the calm in the storm, your Peace restores me. Help me to see the deceiver and remain calm in your presence. Protect me from fear so your Peace may lead me. You hear my cry and always answer, keep me in your trust so I don’t waiver.

Achish said to his servants, “Look at the man! He is insane! Why bring him to me? 15Am I so short of madmen that you have to bring this fellow here to carry on like this in front of me? Must this man come into my house?”

Saul said to him, “Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, giving him bread and a sword and inquiring of God for him, so that he has rebelled against me and lies in wait for me, as he does today?”

 “Turn and kill the priests of the Lord, because they too have sided with David. They knew he was fleeing, yet they did not tell me.”

But the king’s officials were unwilling to raise a hand to strike the priests of the Lord.

Afterward, David was conscience-stricken for having cut off a corner of his robe. 6He said to his men, “The Lord forbid that I should do such a thing to my master, the Lord’s anointed, or lay my hand on him; for he is the anointed of the Lord.” 7With these words David sharply rebuked his men and did not allow them to attack Saul. And Saul left the cave and went his way.

Lord God my Father,

Your plan is so far beyond my ability to understand, help me to follow you blindly without hesitation. Give me your Peace to guide me and the ability to see it. Quiet my thoughts so I may hear yours, inspire me to honor you in all things even if it is not in my understanding. Help me to allow your Holy way to rest well with me.

David led the troops in their campaigns. 14In everything he did he had great success, because the Lord was with him.

You are my strength, I sing praise to you;

you, God, are my fortress,

my God on whom I can rely.

Lord God my Father,

You are my strength and order. Without you there is ciaos and weakness. Lord God, help me to know you and follow you without any distractions. Give me strength to overcome the strongholds I wrestle with.

But Saul and the army spared Agag and the best of the sheep and cattle, the fat calves and lambs—everything that was good. These they were unwilling to destroy completely, but everything that was despised and weak they totally destroyed.

10Then the word of the Lord came to Samuel: 11“I regret that I have made Saul king, because he has turned away from me and has not carried out my instructions.” 

Saul answered, “The soldiers brought them from the Amalekites; they spared the best of the sheep and cattle to sacrifice to the Lord your God, but we totally destroyed the rest.”

16“Enough!” Samuel said to Saul.

“Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices

as much as in obeying the Lord?

To obey is better than sacrifice,

The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

 Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?”

 “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty,

Lord God my Father,

Your plan brings me prosperity and Peace, Lord God, I need your angel army to join me in slaying my selfish nature so I may serve you wholeheartedly. Give me the courage I need to slay the thoughts that lead me away from your path, make me victorious so I may represent you boldly, without compromise. I want to obey you completely but I struggle with my selfish desire.

In Jesus name I pray,

Saul replied, “When I saw that the men were scattering, and that you did not come at the set time, and that the Philistines were assembling at Mikmash, 12I thought, ‘Now the Philistines will come down against me at Gilgal, and I have not sought the Lord’s favor.’ So I felt compelled to offer the burnt offering.”

But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command.”

onathan said to his young armor-bearer, “Come, let’s go over to the outpost of those uncircumcised men. Perhaps the Lord will act in our behalf. Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few.”

Lord God my Father,

Your plan is perfect and timed just as you want it. Keep me from rushing due to my lack of trust in you and be patient in your timing. Help me to be still and Know you. Give me courage to follow your nudging.
