All this also comes from the Lord Almighty,

whose plan is wonderful,

whose wisdom is magnificent.

The Lord says:

“These people come near to me with their mouth

and honor me with their lips,

but their hearts are far from me.

Their worship of me

is based on merely human rules they have been taught.

“Because you have rejected this message,

relied on oppression

and depended on deceit,

13this sin will become for you

like a high wall, cracked and bulging,

that collapses suddenly, in an instant.

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” 22Then you will desecrate your idols overlaid with silver and your images covered with gold; you will throw them away like a menstrual cloth and say to them, “Away with you!”

Lord God my Father,

Your plan is perfect and brings order and Peace to my life. Help me to find the strength to choose only your way and protect me from the sinful nature that distracts me. Remove from me my wisdom so your wisdom rest well in all situations. Reveal the ways of evil that surround me and attack me. I want to only follow your path and destroy all idols I have become comfortable with.
