He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father Amaziah had done. 4The high places, however, were not removed; the people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense there.

But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the Lord his God, and entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense.

Lord God my Father,

You are order and Peace, your way is life. Help me to do what is right in your eyes without delay. Cause me to become obedient without delay. Make me yours, my time belongs to you, my thoughts directed by you. Protect me from distractions that lead me astray. Restore me to your way so I may delight in all things without darkness. Give me Trust without doubt.
