So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?”

When all Israel heard the verdict the king had given, they held the king in awe, because they saw that he had wisdom from God to administer justice.

Solomon son of David established himself firmly over his kingdom, for the Lord his God was with him and made him exceedingly great.

Lord God my Father,

Your way is holy and perfect, you bring order and peace to this chaos. Protect my thoughts and bring your peace to overwhelm my desire to understand so your way rest on me. Give me wisdom to not try to do your job and obedience to do what you desire without delay. Help me to represent you better than me.
