You have been deceived by the fear you inspire in others and by your own pride.
Because the whole land is filled with idols, and the people are madly in love with them.
Lord God my Father,
Give rest from fear, allow me to come close to your awesome power and peace. Show me the idols around me and show me how to smash them and have only one God, the one and only.

Moab will no longer be a nation, for it has boasted against the Lord.

Humble your people, soften our hearts so we turn back to you as you designed it. Quiet my thoughts so I can hear your Truth only.

Pray that the Lord your God will show us what to do and where to go.”4“All right,” Jeremiah replied. “I will pray to the Lord your God, as you have asked, and I will tell you everything he says. I will hide nothing from you.”
Whether we like it or not, we will obey the Lord our God to whom we are sending you with our plea. For if we obey him, everything will turn out well for us.”

I will wait quietly for the coming day when disaster will strike the people who invade us.
yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!19The Sovereign Lord is my strength!

Your plan is perfect, I wait for you to call. Make me quiet to I may hear your desire and I rejoice in your presence.

Zedekiah was a hard and stubborn man, refusing to turn to the Lord, the God of Israel.14Likewise, all the leaders of the priests and the people became more and more unfaithful.
Lord God my Father,
Soften my heart in my stubborn way and make it willing to follow you. Draw me closer to your desire and farther from mine.

Perhaps the people of Judah will repent when they hear again all the terrible things I have planned for them. Then I will be able to forgive their sins and wrongdoings.”
Neither the king nor his attendants showed any signs of fear or repentance at what they heard. 25Even when Elnathan, Delaiah, and Gemariah begged the king not to burn the scroll, he wouldn’t listen.
I will do to this city everything I have threatened. I will send disaster, not prosperity. You will see its destruction, 17but I will rescue you from those you fear so much. 18Because you trusted me, I will give you your life as a reward. I will rescue you and keep you safe. I, the Lord, have spoken!’”
“The Lord your God has brought this disaster on this land, 3just as he said he would. For these people have sinned against the Lord and disobeyed him.
Lord God my Father,
Make your plan known to us and open our eyes to the deceit that is around us. Give us hearts of discernment and courage to stand on your Truth and share it in love to the world around us. Help us to display your power and Peace in a delightful way. Show us how to turn back to you wholeheartedly. Save us.

The people of the world will see all the good I do for my people, and they will tremble with awe at the peace and prosperity I provide for them.
I will restore them to their land and have mercy on them.”
Yes, I will cut you apart, whether you are officials of Judah or Jerusalem, court officials, priests, or common people—for you have broken your oath.
Lord God my Father,
Help me to bring your Truth to those around me. Restore us to our original design, to worship you alone. Give me strength to keep your plan on my heart.

I turned away from God, but then I was sorry. I kicked myself for my stupidity! I was thoroughly ashamed of all I did in my younger days.’
And they will not need to teach their neighbors, nor will they need to teach their relatives, saying, ‘You should know the Lord.’ For everyone, from the least to the greatest, will know me already,” says the Lord. “And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.”
Lord God my Father,
Only you know me, help me to know my brokenness so I can turn from it. Help me to be still and know you. Forgive me for my past sin and protect me from myself.

But the people of any nation that submits to the king of Babylon will be allowed to stay in their own country to farm the land as usual. I, the Lord, have spoken!’”
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. 14I will be found by you,”
Lord God my Father,
Allow our hearts to soften from our stubborn ways and come under your authority. Help us to submit to your perfect plan and turn away from our so-called wisdom.

They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me wholeheartedly.
Listen to the frantic cries of the shepherds. The leaders of the flock are wailing in despair, for the Lord is ruining their pastures.37Peaceful meadows will be turned into a wasteland by the Lord’s fierce anger.
Lord God my Father,
I have wondered away from you but now I have discovered my sin. Clean me, make me new and use me to bring your Truth to others in your Love.
