He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is!

He said, ‘I will abandon them; then see what becomes of them. For they are a twisted generation, children without integrity. 21They have roused my jealousy by worshiping things that are not God; they have provoked my anger with their useless idols.

You failed to demonstrate my holiness to the people of Israel there. 52So you will see the land from a distance, but you may not enter the land I am giving to the people of Israel.”

Moses was 120 years old when he died, yet his eyesight was clear, and he was as strong as ever.

There has never been another prophet in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face. 

Lord God my Father,

You are my rock, everything I need. Help me to place all my trust in you and be still so I can hear you. Help me to represent you well in all I do and keep my mind from judgment. Keep me strong and drive me to do what I should to maintain the temple you gave me. Use me as you will.

In Jesus name I pray,

If at that time you and your children return to the Lord your God, and if you obey with all your heart and all your soul all the commands I have given you today, 3then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes. 

The Lord your God will delight in you if you obey his voice and keep the commands and decrees written in this Book of Instruction, and if you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and soul.

“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! 

So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

Lord God my Father,

Restore me to your design, remove my stubborn rebellious way and draw me near to your design. Let me delight in you as I face my struggles and have your Peace to guide me. Remove my poor decisions and the weakness of my doubt so I may stand knowing you are with me at all times.

Blessings for Obedience

Curses for Disobedience

“If you refuse to listen to the Lord your God and to obey the commands and decrees he has given you, all these curses will pursue and overtake you until you are destroyed. 

“If you refuse to obey all the words of instruction that are written in this book, and if you do not fear the glorious and awesome name of the Lord your God, 59then the Lord will overwhelm you and your children with indescribable plagues.

“Those who hear the warnings of this curse should not congratulate themselves, thinking, ‘I am safe, even though I am following the desires of my own stubborn heart.’

“And the answer will be, ‘This happened because the people of the land abandoned the covenant that the Lord, the God of their ancestors, made with them

Lord God my Father,

Break my heart and place me under your authority so I may follow you well. Open my ears so I may hear you and soften my heart to serve your desire and not my sinful one. Keep me humble and allow me to share you well on your terms.

In Jesus name I pray,

In this way, you will purge the evil from among you.

Remember that you were slaves in the land of Egypt. 

And now, O Lord, I have brought you the first portion of the harvest you have given me from the ground.’

You will be a nation that is holy to the Lord your God, just as he promised.”

Lord God my Father,

Make me aware of the thoughts I may have that are not pleasing to you. Remove my bondage to undesirable ways and deliver me to your way. I am grateful for all you bring to my life and want to be the person you desire me to be.

Do the same if you find your neighbor’s donkey, clothing, or anything else your neighbor loses. Don’t ignore your responsibility.

“A woman must not put on men’s clothing, and a man must not wear women’s clothing. Anyone who does this is detestable in the sight of the Lord your God.

Lord God my Father,

Help me with my integrity, keep me from wondering. Help me to love people as they are and direct them to your perfect plan.

In Jesus name I pray,

He must always keep that copy with him and read it daily as long as he lives. That way he will learn to fear the Lord his God by obeying all the terms of these instructions and decrees. 20This regular reading will prevent him from becoming proud and acting as if he is above his fellow citizens. It will also prevent him from turning away from these commands in the smallest way.

if you always love the Lord your God and walk in his ways.

 Do not lose heart or panic or tremble before them. 4For the Lord your God is going with you! He will fight for you against your enemies, and he will give you victory!’

Lord God my Father,

Keep your word powerfully on my heart. Help me to witness your way well. Help me to love you well and draw others to you and not me. Allow your confidence to drive my attitude this day.

In Jesus name I pray,

for you are set apart as holy to the Lord your God.

You must never twist justice or show partiality.

Lord God my Father,

You are creator and own everything. The fact that you love me and know me is overwhelming. Thank you for being so close and bringing delight to me in all things. Keep me close and may I represent you well.

“But be careful. Don’t let your heart be deceived so that you turn away from the Lord and serve and worship other gods. 17If you do, the Lord’s anger will burn against you.

“So commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these words of mine. 

Lord God my Father,

Make me aware of distractions that draw me away from you, and keep me close. Help me to stay in your will and committed wholeheartedly to you.

In Jesus name I pray,

Remember how the Lord your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether or not you would obey his commands.

Beware that in your plenty you do not forget the Lord your God and disobey his commands,

He did all this so you would never say to yourself, ‘I have achieved this wealth with my own strength and energy.’

Please overlook the stubbornness and the awful sin of these people, and remember instead your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. 28If you destroy these people, the Egyptians will say, “The Israelites died because the Lord wasn’t able to bring them to the land he had promised to give them.”

 He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul.

Therefore, change your hearts and stop being stubborn.

Lord God my Father,

Lead me through my struggles and supply my needs. Keep me from taking credit for what I have, but to give you the glory. Keep my heart in your control and away from darkness. Help me to live to please you alone. Open my heart fo only follow you.

In Jesus name I pray,

“You must not have any other god but me.

But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations on those who love me and obey my commands.

Oh, that they would always have hearts like this, that they might fear me and obey all my commands! 

For we will be counted as righteous when we obey all the commands the Lord our God has given us.’

Do not let your daughters and sons marry their sons and daughters, 4for they will lead your children away from me to worship other gods. 

Do not bring any detestable objects into your home, for then you will be destroyed, just like them. You must utterly detest such things, for they are set apart for destruction.

Lord God my Father,

You alone are God, keep my heart close so I may follow only you. Allow my love of you to be my strength. Allow your way to be seen by me and keep me on your path. Protect me from distractions and make me pure in your sight.
