if you call the Sabbath a delight and the Lord’s holy day honorable, vand if you honor it by not going your own way and not doing as you please or speaking idle words, 14then you will find your joy in the Lord,

Lord God my Father,

I delight in your way. Protect me from my sinful desires and overwhelm me with your Truth. Keep me true to your design for me.

“Yes, captives will be taken from warriors, and plunder retrieved from the fierce; I will contend with those who contend with you, and your children I will save. 26I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh;

“Hear me, you who know what is right, you people who have taken my instruction to heart: Do not fear the reproach of mere mortals or be terrified by their insults.

Awake, awake, arm of the Lord, clothe yourself with strength!

Lord God my Father,

You are my redeemer, you are all I need, help me be still and know you. Help me to share you well and bring attention to your son. Waken your purpose with power and strength, protect me from my weakness.

They know nothing, they understand nothing; their eyes are plastered over so they cannot see, and their minds closed so they cannot understand.

I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’

See, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.  11For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this.

“There is no peace,” says the Lord, “for the wicked.”

Lord God my Father,

Open my heart so I may understand your desire for me today. Make known to me your plan for me. Refine me from my sinful nature and give me your Peace.

Who can fathom the Spirit of the Lord, or instruct the Lord as his counselor? 14Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge, or showed him the path of understanding?

The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. 2When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. 3For I am the Lord your God,

Lord God my Father,

Your power is infinite, help me to allow it in my life. Your way is delightful, help me to follow your path. Bring me strength when I wonder from your way so I may be returned to your way. With you all things are possible. Use me for your glory today.

But only the redeemed will walk there, 10and those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Now, Lord our God, deliver us from his hand, so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you, Lord, are the only God.

“I will defend this city and save it, for my sake and for the sake of David my servant!”

“Remember, Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

 I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will add fifteen years to your life. 6And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city.

Lord God my Father,

Rescue me from my narrow way and deliver me to your way so I may thrive for you. Deliver me from my limited desires to your unlimited way and defend me from the darkness ever prowling. I with to be faithful to you in all situations this day and live in your hope.

For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; it is he who will save us.

Look in the scroll of the Lord and read: None of these will be missing, not one will lack her mate. For it is his mouth that has given the order, and his Spirit will gather them together. 17He allots their portions; his hand distributes them by measure. They will possess it forever and dwell there from generation to generation.

Lord God my Father,

Your word is life and order. Protect me from deception so I man keep my gaze on you in all storms. You are the Peace I need to keep my heart in your light. Soften my heart so you may have your way with me today.

All this also comes from the Lord Almighty, whose plan is wonderful, whose wisdom is magnificent.

You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay! Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, “You did not make me”? Can the pot say to the potter, “You know nothing”?

Lord God my Father,

You are everything delightful to me. When everything is upside down you keep me in your peace and sooth my heart. Continue to shape me into your desire and give me strength to complete this day your way.

Judah has fortified many towns. But I will send fire on their cities that will consume their fortresses.”

Because your sins are so many and your hostility so great, the prophet is considered a fool, the inspired person a maniac.

But you have planted wickedness, you have reaped evil, you have eaten the fruit of deception. Because you have depended on your own strength and on your many warriors, 14the roar of battle will rise against your people, so that all your fortresses will be devastated—

Lord God my Father,

You are all powerful and your way will happen. Soften my heart so I am with you completely, help me to see the sin I carry so you can heal me of it. Allow your wisdom to guide me to the proper path and love as you designed it. Help me to remove the wickedness and represent your Truth well.

I will say to those called ‘Not my people,’ ‘You are my people’; and they will say, ‘You are my God.’ ”

“There is no faithfulness, no love, no acknowledgment of God in the land. 2There is only cursing, lying and murder, stealing and adultery; they break all bounds, and bloodshed follows bloodshed. 3Because of this the land dries up, and all who live in it waste away;

I trained them and strengthened their arms, but they plot evil against me. 16They do not turn to the Most High; they are like a faulty bow. Their leaders will fall by the sword because of their insolent words.

Lord God my Father,

You are my God and my strength. Keep me under your authority and cause me to keep my focus on you alone. Grow my faith at all times and keep me from anger. I call on you to direct and deliver me to your way in all things.

Hezekiah trusted in the Lord, the God of Israel. There was no one like him among all the kings of Judah, either before him or after him. And the Lord was with him; he was successful in whatever he undertook. 

Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced at what God had brought about for his people, because it was done so quickly.

Although most of the many people who came from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun had not purified themselves, yet they ate the Passover, contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, “May the Lord, who is good, pardon everyone 19who sets their heart on seeking God—the Lord, the God of their ancestors—even if they are not clean according to the rules of the sanctuary.” 20And the Lord heard Hezekiah and healed the people.

This is what Hezekiah did throughout Judah, doing what was good and right and faithful before the Lord his God.

Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to trust in you with a faith that removes my desires. Help me to give to you all I am and more. Forgive me for my past sin and help me to see the sin lurking in my heart. Make me good for your sake.
