“Of what value is an idol carved by a craftsman? Or an image that teaches lies? For the one who makes it trusts in his own creation; he makes idols that cannot speak. 19Woe to him who says to wood, ‘Come to life!’ Or to lifeless stone, ‘Wake up!’ Can it give guidance?

I heard and my heart pounded, my lips quivered at the sound; decay crept into my bones, and my legs trembled. Yet I will wait patiently for the day of calamity to come on the nation invading us.

The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights.

Lord God my Father,

Open my eyes so I can see the gods I place in my life. Help me to keep all my focus on you the only God. Give me boldness to destroy the access points darkness uses to find me. You are all I need to overcome my compromise in your plan for me. You alone are my strength.

He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father had done.

He did evil in the eyes of the Lord his God and did not humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet, who spoke the word of the Lord. 

the Lord moved the heart of Cyrus king of Persia to make a proclamation throughout his realm and also to put it in writing:

23“This is what Cyrus king of Persia says:

“ ‘The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah. Any of his people among you may go up, and may the Lord their God be with them.’ ”

Lord God my Father,

Keep my close and far from evil desires. Protect and guide my thoughts so my actions please you. Move in my heart and cause me to do boldly your will.

And this is what the Lord says: ‘This city will certainly be given into the hands of the army of the king of Babylon, who will capture it.’ ”

“Obey the Lord by doing what I tell you. Then it will go well with you, and your life will be spared. 

I will save you; you will not fall by the sword but will escape with your life, because you trust in me, declares the Lord.’ ”

How long, Lord? Will you be angry forever? How long will your jealousy burn like fire? 6Pour out your wrath on the nations that do not acknowledge you, on the kingdoms that do not call on your name;

Pay back into the laps of our neighbors seven times the contempt they have hurled at you, Lord. 13Then we your people, the sheep of your pasture, will praise you forever; from generation to generation we will proclaim your praise.

Lord God my Fahter,

Crush the sin nature I carry and allow things to go well with me. Make my heart obedient to your way and please you in all things I am. Protect me from the attacks by the enemy and the disappointment I cause when I act on my own. Keep me from judgment that darkens my spirit.

“This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Go and tell the people of Judah and those living in Jerusalem, ‘Will you not learn a lesson and obey my words?’ declares the Lord.

 ‘You have obeyed the command of your forefather Jehonadab and have followed all his instructions and have done everything he ordered.’ 19Therefore this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: ‘Jehonadab son of Rekab will never fail to have a descendant to serve me.’ ”

Lord God my Father,

Help me to learn your lesson and not allow compromise into my heart. Teach me to Love louder than the world and not fall into temptation. Show me how to be obedient to your will in all relationships, especially with my family.

They will be my people, and I will be their God. 39I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me and that all will then go well for them and for their children after them.

“This is what the Lord says: As I have brought all this great calamity on this people, so I will give them all the prosperity I have promised them.

his is what the Lord says, he who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it—the Lord is his name: 3‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’

Lord God my Father,

You are my God and your way is perfect. Lord, help me to be obedient without struggling to understand what you are up to. Help me to have a Peace that restores me. Please bring a desire to serve as you desire to me and take my conditions from how I serve.

I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow. 14I will satisfy the priests with abundance, and my people will be filled with my bounty,” declares the Lord.

“Restrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for your work will be rewarded,”

Is not Ephraim my dear son, the child in whom I delight? Though I often speak against him, I still remember him. Therefore my heart yearns for him; I have great compassion for him,” declares the Lord.

No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the Lord. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”

Lord God my Father,

I delight in your way, you are the Peace I long for. Keep me close and expose my sin nature so I may release it you your destruction. Even as I am a sinner you delight in me, restore me to your desire, release your healing to restore your people and give us passion in your way.

Then Jeremiah said to all the officials and all the people: “The Lord sent me to prophesy against this house and this city all the things you have heard. 13Now reform your ways and your actions and obey the Lord your God. Then the Lord will relent and not bring the disaster he has pronounced against you.

He will have no one left among this people, nor will he see the good things I will do for my people, declares the Lord, because he has preached rebellion against me.’ ”

Lord God my Father,

Help me to be used to spread your Truth to the world and bring the lost closer to you. Protect me from arrogance and conceit and under your authority. Keep me in line with your desires.

In Jesus name I pray,

Therefore, I will surely forget you and cast you out of my presence along with the city I gave to you and your ancestors. 40I will bring on you everlasting disgrace—everlasting shame that will not be forgotten.”

My eyes will watch over them for their good, and I will bring them back to this land. I will build them up and not tear them down; I will plant them and not uproot them. 7I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart.

Lord God my Father,

I cry out to you to place me in your presence and give me inspiration to loudly live your will. Lord use me to call the lost and show my restoration in you to them so hope can be our way, not fear. Bring me back into your flock and keep watch over me.

If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down and destroyed, 8and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned. 9And if at another time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be built up and planted, 10and if it does evil in my sight and does not obey me, then I will reconsider the good I had intended to do for it.

‘Listen! I am going to bring on this city and all the villages around it every disaster I pronounced against them, because they were stiff-necked and would not listen to my words.’ ”

Lord God my Father,

You are in control of everything, help me to be with you and not against you. Help me to pass your way to others in Love and delight to strengthen the light. Soften the hearts of those who seek darkness and turn us back to you.

Therefore this is what the Lord says about the prophets who are prophesying in my name: I did not send them, yet they are saying, ‘No sword or famine will touch this land.’ Those same prophets will perish by sword and famine.

For the sake of your name do not despise us; do not dishonor your glorious throne.

“If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them.

Lord God my Father,

Keep my thoughts focused on your Truth and protect me from deceit. Bless my actions so I may bring you glory. Bless my home so it may be used for your message. Thank you for grace that removes the darkness from me. Restore and use me this day.
