King David dedicated all these gifts to the lord, as he did with the silver and gold from the other nations he had defeated
In the spring of the year, when kings normally go out to war,
Uriah replied, “The Ark and the armies of Israel and Judah are living in tents, and Joab and my master’s men are camping in the open fields. How could I go home to wine and dine and sleep with my wife?

It seems there was a time of year that kings went to war yet David decided to take a year off and satan managed to tempt him and win with Bathshiba, did that ever spiral out of control till David killed her husband.

Lord God help me to recognize where I am lazy in my faith. Protect me from i a moment of weakness sin and create an opportunity for satan to separate me from you.

So David ordered his young men to kill them, and they did. They cut off their hands and feet and hung their bodies beside the pool in Hebron.
The Jebusites taunted David, saying, “You’ll never get in here! Even the blind and lame could keep you out!”
David was angry because the lord’s anger had burst out against Uzzah.
David was now afraid of the lord,
And David danced before the lord with all his might,
He appointed me as the leader of Israel, the people of the lord, so I celebrate before the lord. 22Yes, and I am willing to look even more foolish than this,
“I am living in a beautiful cedar palace, but the Ark of God is out there in a tent!”
I took you from tending sheep in the pasture and selected you to be the leader of my people Israel.

The Lord took Uzzah’s life for he touched the Arc even though it was to protect the Lord, The Lord doesn’t need our protection just our total obedience at all cost.
Oh how I want to be that fool for the Lord not concerned for the way it may make me look to others.

Oh God,
Help me to got over myself and get into you without compromise, so you can be glorified thru me. May all Glory be for you.

King David did what was pleasing to the people, everything he did was pleasing to the people.

May I lead a life that is pleasing to my family, may God bless and direct my every move so my family will be pleased with everything I do.

David replied to Abigail, “Praise the lord, the God of Israel, who has sent you to meet me today! 33Thank God for your good sense! Bless you for keeping me from murder and from carrying out vengeance with my own hands.
“Therefore, the lord, the God of Israel, says: I promised that your branch of the tribe of Levi would always be my priests. But I will honor those who honor me, and I will despise those who think lightly of me.
I have warned him that judgment is coming upon his family forever, because his sons are blaspheming God and he hasn’t disciplined them.

To have a promise from God and take it lightly, To listen to God’s common sense and act on it. That is what I want, to act on the promise of God with His wisdom and common sense and be a true blessing to God.

Lord God,
Help me to discern your wisdom you make available to me thru the time we spend together and act on it with confidence and Joy so I may live a life pleasing to you and bring you glory in all I do. Help me to use your guidance to overcome today’s challenges and serve you in all I do.

“Kill these priests of the lord, for they are allies and conspirators with David!
When David had finished speaking, Saul called back, “Is that really you, my son David?” Then he began to cry. 17And he said to David, “You are a better man than I am, for you have repaid me good for evil.

Rage is completely of the devil and warps the mind in an obsession of wrong. When I have a level of anger in my spirit I have a separation from God that keeps me from his Joy, a Joy that allows me to delight in even my struggles.

Lord God, bind the desires of satan for me and protect me from wrong thoughts and actions. Make my desires your desires and allow me to live in your joy this day and may it all be for your glory.

David continued to succeed in everything he did, for the lord was with him.

Oh to be able to succeed in everything I do, if I truly want that why don’t I do everything I can to walk with the Lord as David did.

Lord God,
Join me in all I do, be with me and remove anything in my life that separates me from your presence.

“I am sorry that I ever made Saul king, for he has not been loyal to me and has refused to obey my command.”
“What is more pleasing to the lord:
your burnt offerings and sacrifices
or your obedience to his voice?
23Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft,
and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols.
David replied to the Philistine, “You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the lord of Heaven’s Armies

Rebellion is so easy for me, I need to rebel against my rebellion with a stubbornness against my ways to allow the Lord to be my only master.

Lord God, show me the issues I struggle with that lead me away from you and restore me to a relationship I was meant to have with you.

“Even so, we still want a king,” they said. 20“We want to be like the nations around us.

In the presence of truth I still turn away from His counsel, How stubborn I am.

Lord God, soften my heart remove my arrogance, keep me from looking with envy at this world and surrender to your delightful, ridiculous, peaceful way so I can have your power and peace to fight the battles in front of me.

But now your kingdom must end, for the lord has sought out a man after his own heart.
“Do what you think is best,” the armor bearer replied. “I’m with you completely, whatever you decide.”

May I have the faith of the armor bearer, I want to make the decisions, I want to be Johnathon. I should look more to be God’s support person instead of his leader asking for help.

Lord God supreme commander,
May I allow you to be in charge of my actions and attitude and stop competing with you for control. Be with me and direct me to do your will and may I surrender my will to you.

for I have looked down on my people in mercy and have heard their cry.”
do what must be done, for God is with you.
As Saul turned and started to leave, God gave him a new heart,
So they asked the lord, “Where is he?”
And the lord replied, “He is hiding among the baggage.”
“This is the man the lord has chosen as your king. No one in all Israel is like him!”
4“No,” they replied, “you have never cheated or oppressed us, and you have never taken even a single bribe.”
“As for me, I will certainly not sin against the lord by ending my prayers for you.

They had to look for Saul to crown him king for he was hiding, afraid of being a leader of his people even after being told he was going to be king and being chosen by lot out of all the people of Israel.

May I be like Saul and stop hiding from the Lord and accept my place in the Kingdom and lead with courage for God is with me.
