“Get away from me, Satan!” he said. “You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.”

But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it. 36And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?

If anyone is ashamed of me and my message in these adulterous and sinful days, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

“You faithless people! How long must I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”

The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!”

Lord God my Father,

Keep me close so Satan has no access, allow me to see more from your view rather than mine. Help me to live only for you and not for me. Your Glory alone is what I want to live for, give me a faith that cries out for you in delightful boldness.

 “Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given—and you will receive even more. 25To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given.

“Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

So Jesus gave them permission. The evil spirits came out of the man and entered the pigs,

“Don’t be afraid. Just have faith.”

Lord God my Father,

Help me to surrender my will to your care, keep me in your confidence and strength. Release the strongholds evil has in my life and give me a faith that conquers all fears.

Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” 42Instantly the leprosy disappeared, and the man was healed.

“The Sabbath was made to meet the needs of people, and not people to meet the requirements of the Sabbath. 

At once the Pharisees went away and met with the supporters of Herod to plot how to kill Jesus.

The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.

Lord God my Father,

Your compassion overwhelms me and your willingness restores me. It’s not about my desires, it’s about my needs and you know me so much better than I do. Protect me from my opinion and allow your will to be restored in me. Watch over me and keep me from sin.

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.

Don’t grumble about each other, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. For look—the Judge is standing at the door!

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. 14Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. 15Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. 

Lord God my Father,

Only with you do I have value, keep me close and protect me from wondering off. Bless my family and allow me to speak your words of comfort. Forgive me from my past ways and cause me to be close to your will today.

Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins.

But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved.

All these people died still believing what God had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it. They agreed that they were foreigners and nomads here on earth.

It was by faith that Moses left the land of Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger. He kept right on going because he kept his eyes on the one who is invisible.

By faith these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. 

All these people earned a good reputation because of their faith, yet none of them received all that God had promised. 40For God had something better in mind for us, so that they would not reach perfection without us.

So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. 13Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong.

May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.

Lord God my Father,

Allow my desire to only be with you, protect me from my own desires. I wish to keep my focus on only your desire for me. Your destiny is the only way to my perfect home. Keep my thoughts from bringing compromise to my faith. Your strength is all I need. Cause me to carry my faith in such a way that others desire you, give me your strength. Your Love is the only future worth pursuing.

I will put my laws in their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. 11And they will not need to teach their neighbors, nor will they need to teach their relatives, saying, ‘You should know the Lord.’ For everyone, from the least to the greatest, will know me already.

 But now, once for all time, he has appeared at the end of the age to remove sin by his own death as a sacrifice.

Praise the Lord, all you nations. Praise him, all you people of the earth. 2For his unfailing love for us is powerful; the Lord’s faithfulness endures forever. Praise the Lord!

Lord God my Father,

You created me to worship you in all things. I wish to have the distractions I allow to be removed. Thank you for the daily opportunity to trust you in all things, help me to keep your way on my heart in a powerful, bold, delightful way. Your Love is all I wish for me to represent you through me today.

Even though Jesus was God’s Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered. 9In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him.

How kind the Lord is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours! 6The Lord protects those of childlike faith; I was facing death, and he saved me. 7Let my soul be at rest again, for the Lord has been good to me.

Lord God my Father,

Your way is perfect, I can’t understand. Thank you for the struggles that shaped me and help me to face the struggles yet to come so I may continue to be delivered to your desire for me. Your mercy overwhelms me and is my strength.

Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.

“Today when you hear his voice, 8don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested me in the wilderness.

So we see that because of their unbelief they were not able to enter his rest.

For this good news—that God has prepared this rest—has been announced to us just as it was to them. But it did them no good because they didn’t share the faith of those who listened to God. 3For only we who believe can enter his rest. 

Lord God my Father,

You know me better than I do, Help me to be still and know your way. Soften my heart and mind to allow you to rest on me so I may know. Allow all doubt to leave and your Truth be my strength. Allow me to rest in your arms.

“No!” Peter insisted. “Even if I have to die with you, I will never deny you!” And all the other disciples vowed the same.

 “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”

So he is the King of Israel, is he? Let him come down from the cross right now, and we will believe in him! 43He trusted God, so let God rescue him now if he wants him! For he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”

And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Lord God my Father,

Give me courage to stand with you no matter what. Help me to Stand firm in times of struggle. Keep me from challenging your Truth.

For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 6But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone.

Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. 21So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.

But if you favor some people over others, you are committing a sin. You are guilty of breaking the law.

Get out of my life, you evil-minded people, for I intend to obey the commands of my God.

Lord God my Father,

Thank you for your perfect plan, especially the struggles. Continue to strengthen me in your Peace so I may use your wisdom above all else. Thank you for being so close. Keep me from judgment and anger for they cloud my judgment and allow your way to be my discernment. Protect me from evil and allow your Peace to flow freely in my life.
