To hear and obey

So Israel was reduced to starvation by the Midianites. Then the Israelites cried out to the Lord for help.

Then Gideon said to God, “Please don’t be angry with me, but let me make one more request. Let me use the fleece for one more test. This time let the fleece remain dry while the ground around it is wet with dew.” 40So that night God did as Gideon asked. The fleece was dry in the morning, but the ground was covered with dew.

Lord God my Father,
Give me the courage to talk, listen and ask of you the hard questions that bring clarity to my faith. Give me discernment to hear you and know it is you. May I follow your desire wholeheartedly.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Battle within

The Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he became Israel’s judge.
the Lord gave Othniel victory over him.
After Ehud’s death, the Israelites again did evil in the Lord’s sight.

Lord God my Father,
May your spirit come on me and I not resist your way in me. Deliver me from the battle raging in me between the desires of this world and you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

To give Him permission to lead in all things

And the Lord gave them rest on every side, just as he had solemnly promised their ancestors. None of their enemies could stand against them, for the Lord helped them conquer all their enemies.

I gave you vineyards and olive groves for food, though you did not plant them.
14“So fear the Lord and serve him wholeheartedly.

Lord God my Father,
Give me discernment to do your will, allow you to fight the battles around me, to take a stand for you in all things. Give me your wisdom in all battles I may be involved in especially the battle of my will, may I surrender to you in all things so I may live in your peace and blessing.

In Jesus name,
Amen

To slay all the enemy within.

For Joshua kept holding out his spear until everyone who had lived in Ai was completely destroyed.

Lord God my Father,
Help me to identify and surrender all the thoughts and actions that are not a blessing to you, The sin that lives in me and purify me to fight your battles and take back your country and once again live under your authority.

In Jesus name,
Amen

To make a mark in this world for the Lord.

After the death of Moses the Lord’s servant,

“Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them.

Anyone who rebels against your orders and does not obey your words and everything you command will be put to death. So be strong and courageous!”

Then Joshua told the people, “Purify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do great wonders among you.”

Lord God my Father,
May I also be known as your servant, I know I will never be Moses but with your power and courage burning in me I may make a mark for your kingdom in this world. Be with me and give me leadership over my family and others so they may see you thru my actions. Help me to purify my self to serve you properly.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Protection and direction

You failed to demonstrate my holiness to the people of Israel there.

Moses was 120 years old when he died, yet his eyesight was clear, and he was as strong as ever.

Lord God my Father,
Lord, I am weak on my own, I am foolish and misdirected, I need your spirit to lead me in this world and protect me from the great deceiver. Give the wisdom like a serpent and a purity of heart to serve you as your servant. May I please you this day.

In Jesus name,
Amen

To be completely restored.

If at that time you and your children return to the Lord your God, and if you obey with all your heart and all your soul all the commands I have given you today, 3then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes. He will have mercy on you and gather you back from all the nations where he has scattered you.

Look now; I myself am he!
There is no other god but me!
I am the one who kills and gives life;
I am the one who wounds and heals;
no one can be rescued from my powerful hand!

Lord God my Father,
Take my heart and soften it, allow it to only follow your truth. Protect me from the sin nature I have placed on it and make it pure. Instill in me a proper fear, a fear of respect and condemnation to the ways that lead me to this world. Restore me to the purpose you created me for.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Oh, to have proper faith and desire.

If you do not serve the Lord your God with joy and enthusiasm for the abundant benefits you have received, 48you will serve your enemies whom the Lord will send against you.

“The Lord will bring a distant nation against you from the end of the earth, and it will swoop down on you like a vulture. It is a nation whose language you do not understand,

“You have seen with your own eyes everything the Lord did in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh and to all his servants and to his whole country—3all the great tests of strength, the miraculous signs, and the amazing wonders. 4But to this day the Lord has not given you minds that understand, nor eyes that see, nor ears that hear!

Lord God my Father,
May my heart be only for you, I struggle with my own will, remove it and allow me to live by your blessing alone. Give me a servants heart where I can serve all, especially my family with a delightful spirit. Give me your discernment over my thoughts, allow me to See your truth in the world around me and take a stand for you. I know with proper faith I can do anything in your name, give me that faith with your desire to do only your will.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Single purpose desire

So be careful to obey them wholeheartedly. 17You have declared today that the Lord is your God. And you have promised to walk in his ways,

Lord God my Father,
Guard my heart and keep me holey in your presence, guide me this day to do your work with focus and excitement what ever it is and may I please you above any desire of my own.

In Jesus name I pray,
Amen

To fight His fight and enjoy His victory in my life.

Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the Lord your God must die. In this way you will purge the evil from Israel. 13Then everyone else will hear about it and be afraid to act so arrogantly.

“When you go out to fight your enemies and you face horses and chariots and an army greater than your own, do not be afraid. The Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, is with you!

For the Lord your God is going with you! He will fight for you against your enemies, and he will give you victory!’

You may enjoy the plunder from your enemies that the Lord your God has given you.

Lord God my Father,
Identify my enemies to me so I may not accept them, Identify your desire to me so I may wholeheartedly follow it. Lord God, place me in the battle you desire for me and give me the faith to carry out your message, May I enjoy the plunder of your battle and trust you in all things.

In Jesus name,
Amen
