My place to question.

“But what do you think about this? A man with two sons told the older boy, ‘Son, go out and work in the vineyard today.’ 29The son answered, ‘No, I won’t go,’ but later he changed his mind and went anyway. 30Then the father told the other son, ‘You go,’ and he said, ‘Yes, sir, I will.’ But he didn’t go.
31“Which of the two obeyed his father?”

No one could answer him. And after that, no one dared to ask him any more questions.

Lord God,
May I not question you, may I only obey you.

In Jesus name,
Amen

To expose truth and lies

“I will give you the glory of these kingdoms and authority over them,” the devil said, “because they are mine to give to anyone I please.

13When the devil had finished tempting Jesus, he left him until the next opportunity came.

I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent.”

Lord God,
Humble my spirit, allow your presence to be my desire, protect me from this world’s lies. Remove the authority of Satan in this world around me and Help me be obedient to you only. Expose the lies as what they are.

In Jesus name,
Amen

I need to release my desire to understand and wait for his.

For God did not spare even the angels who sinned. He threw them into hell, in gloomy pits of darkness, where they are being held until the day of judgment.

For you are a slave to whatever controls you.

The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake.

But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness.

These people are grumblers and complainers, living only to satisfy their desires.

Lord God,
I ask for protection from my own selfish desires, release me from this world and bond me to yours. May I strive to not desire understanding from this place and wait on your understanding to be revealed to me. Lord God, protect me from my grumbling ways.
In Jesus name,
Amen

To be in His favor

But I will not travel among you, for you are a stubborn and rebellious people. If I did, I would surely destroy you along the way.”

Inside the Tent of Meeting, the lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend.

You have told me, ‘I know you by name, and I look favorably on you.’ 13If it is true that you look favorably on me, let me know your ways so I may understand you more fully and continue to enjoy your favor. And remember that this nation is your very own people.”

“O Lord, if it is true that I have found favor with you, then please travel with us. Yes, this is a stubborn and rebellious people, but please forgive our iniquity and our sins. Claim us as your own special possession.”

“No one may appear before me without an offering.
21“You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but on the seventh day you must stop working, even during the seasons of plowing and harvest.

all whose hearts were willing.

Lord God,
I am willing but I am weak. Lord give me power over my weakness and reveal your power thru me. Allow me to be your servant and use me to do amazing things for your glory. I am tired and weary of my way Lord. May I please you with my actions today and bring glory to you and your Glory to those around me.
In Jesus name,
Amen

To really believe.

I can’t carry all these people by myself! The load is far too heavy! 15If this is how you intend to treat me, just go ahead and kill me. Do me a favor and spare me this misery!”

For you have rejected the lord, who is here among you, and you have whined to him, saying, “Why did we ever leave Egypt?”’”

Then the lord said to Moses, “Has my arm lost its power? Now you will see whether or not my word comes true!”

But not with my servant Moses.
Of all my house, he is the one I trust.
8I speak to him face to face,
clearly, and not in riddles!
He sees the lord as he is.

So they spread this bad report about the land among the Israelites:

Lord God,
May I see you for who you are and not put the constraints of my past and my perspective on you. Lord God may I have a pure understanding from you of your aoesome power and your abilities to give me power over my sinful way. Lord God may I delight you and in you this day.

In Jesus name,
Amen

remove my doubt

Why did you make us leave Egypt and bring us here to this terrible place?

Lord God,
Why do I continue to doubt your power in me, Lord God, remove my doubt and push me forward in your confidence and power. Allow me to do ridiculous things for your glory.

In Jesus name,
Amen

The faith of a donkey

“Even if Balak were to give me his palace filled with silver and gold, I would be powerless to do anything against the will of the lord my God.

20That night God came to Balaam and told him, “Since these men have come for you, get up and go with them. But do only what I tell you to do.”
So the next morning Balaam got up, saddled his donkey, and started off with the Moabite officials. 22But God was angry that Balaam was going, so he sent the angel of the lord to stand in the road to block his way.

Then the lord gave the donkey the ability to speak. “What have I done to you that deserves your beating me three times?” it asked Balaam.
29“You have made me look like a fool!” Balaam shouted. “If I had a sword with me, I would kill you!”
“Look, I have come to block your way because you are stubbornly resisting me. 33Three times the donkey saw me and shied away; otherwise, I would certainly have killed you by now and spared the donkey.”
34Then Balaam confessed to the angel of the lord, “I have sinned. I didn’t realize you were standing in the road to block my way.

Lord God,
Allow me to see you and follow your direction exactly. Lord God, Remove my sinful ways from my thoughts and replace them with your truth, Give mo power over my past and allow me to live today in your power and purpose. Lord God, do not let my failures and weakness in this world define my faith, may my faith come from you and you alone.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Absolute trust in the Lord, why is it so hard?

“But you all came to me and said, ‘First, let’s send out scouts to explore the land for us. They will advise us on the best route to take and which towns we should enter.’

You complained in your tents and said, ‘The lord must hate us. That’s why he has brought us here from Egypt—to hand us over to the Amorites to be slaughtered.

The lord your God is going ahead of you. He will fight for you, you refused to trust the lord your God,

So your men strapped on their weapons, thinking it would be easy to attack the hill country.
42“But the lord told me to tell you, ‘Do not attack, for I am not with you.

Lord God,
Help me with my arrogance, Help me to blindly trust you and follow you without doubting your plan for me. Lord God, remove my doubt and replace it with your confidence to do your will only. May I delight you with my thoughts and actions today.
In Jesus name,
Amen
