Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” 

“Now, fellow Israelites, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your leaders. 18But this is how God fulfilled what he had foretold through all the prophets, saying that his Messiah would suffer. 19Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, 

When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.”

Lord God my Father,

Give me your spirit, your confidence, your Peace. Restore me to your desire and use me for your will. Keep me from my sinful way and help me to leave my past so I may live in your light and share it freely with others.

‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’

 “How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken!26Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?”

“Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”

Lord God my Father,

Your plan is beyond my understanding, yet perfect. Help me to believe to the point I have no doubt. Proof of you is everywhere I rest my eyes, you are in everything, help me to see more of you and less of my desire.

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

 Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Lord God my Father,

You are greater than all creation and with you all things are possible. Help me to remove the limits I put on your authority that lives in me. Show me how to reach the world as you desire and make a path to you for the lost to follow. Give me faith as you designed it and protect me from the deceiver that distracts me. Help me to believe.

 “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God and said, “Surely this was a righteous man.” 

“You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”

“We have no king but Caesar,” the chief priests answered.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to fin your heart without judgment and believe without listening to doubt. Help me to take you at your word and not question but believe and to see the falsehood that is abundant around me.

In Jesus name I pray,

The chief priests picked up the coins and said, “It is against the law to put this into the treasury, since it is blood money.”

“You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! Come down from the cross, if you are the Son of God!”

But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have Pilate release Barabbas instead.

And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died, he said, “Surely this man was the Son of God!”

Lord God my Father,

Keep me from the influence of the deceiver and keep me in your authority. Give me a heart that craves your Peace only. Keep me from searching from my perspective and allow your perspective to rest on me. Your freedom is beyond understanding, so help me to stop trying understand but allow it. Protect me from the emotions of the crowd and show me how to place quiet boundaries to protect your Peace within me. Open my eyes to see more of your wonder in all my eyes fall on.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God ; believe also in me.2My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.4You know the way to the place where I am going.”

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.19Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me.

Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

They kept asking, “What does he mean by ‘a little while’? We don’t understand what he is saying.”

Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”

Lord God my Father,

Give your peace to me and show me how to receive it so it grows in me. I know you are always with me and your way is made known. Give me strength to avoid distraction and stay in your plan. Keep me from struggling to understand, help me to bring calm to my thoughts so I can allow you to rest with me and be known. Your Love and delight guide me and assure me that I am on the rite path.

 “When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?”

“Nothing,” they answered.

 “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.”41He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, 42“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”

But this is your hour—when darkness reigns.”

Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.”

Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.17Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.35By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Lord God my Father,

You provide all that I could ever need. Keep me from worrying about anything in front of me today and give me confidence in your plan without doubt. Darkness is around me in every direction but your light can never be darkened. Wash me clean so I may represent you well and lead all I meet to you in Peace and Love. Thank you for your plan and closeness.

“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

 “Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour has come, and the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners.46Rise! Let us go! Here comes my betrayer!”

In that hour Jesus said to the crowd, “Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me? Every day I sat in the temple courts teaching, and you did not arrest me.

“Abba,  Father,”he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”

Peter, “are you asleep? Couldn’t you keep watch for one hour?38Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Lord God my Father,

Give me the strength I need to deny my weakness and strengthen my spirit to give me focus on you. Keep me near and courageous no matter the test before me. Allow you Peace to rest well with me and guide me well. Keep me from the pressures of the world so I may stand well with you.

 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

Lord God my Father,

Help me to have your servant’s heart and not be shellfish in my thoughts. Give me delight to the point others see you and desire you.

At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other,11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,13but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to keep my focus on you and not be distracted by the deceiver. Give me discernment of my thoughts and keep me close to you so darkness is avoided. Allow you light to be constant on me so I am serving you first in all things.
