His desire, His strength

But because the midwives feared God, they refused to obey the king’s orders. They allowed the boys to live, too.

So God was good to the midwives, and the Israelites continued to multiply, growing more and more powerful. 21And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.

But the Israelites continued to groan under their burden of slavery. They cried out for help, and their cry rose up to God. 24God heard their groaning, and he remembered his covenant promise to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. 25He looked down on the people of Israel and knew it was time to act.

“But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless a mighty hand forces him. I will raise my hand and strike the Egyptians, performing all kinds of miracles among them. Then at last he will let you go.

But Moses pleaded with the Lord, “O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.

But Moses again pleaded, “Lord, please! Send anyone else.”14Then the Lord became angry with Moses. “All right,” he said. “What about your brother, Aaron the Levite?

Lord God my Father,

Allow my fear of you to give me your desire to move as you ask. Bless my actions as I do your will and keep me under your authority, give me courage to do what I am not comfortable with if you ask me to and gather other Godly men around me for your desire to be met.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

In my place

You can be certain that when you seek His Kingdom first it will cause the anger, anxiety, and frustration to lessen. And He will provide everything you need.

If you lay a hand on it,you will certainly remember the battle that follows. You won’t try that again!

I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance.”

“I am angry with you and your two friends, for you have not spoken accurately about me, as my servant Job has.

7Then he died, an old man who had lived a long, full life.

Lord God my Father,

Keep me from struggling with you for it is pointless, Protect my thoughts and keep me under your authority, keep me from misrepresenting you. Thank you for the fullness of life I have with you.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Who gives intuition to the heart and instinct to the mind?

Then Job replied to the Lord,4“I am nothing—how could I ever find the answers?I will cover my mouth with my hand.5I have said too much already.I have nothing more to say.”

Lord God my Father,

Guide my heart, mind and actions.

His will only

Job, you deserve the maximum penaltyfor the wicked way you have talked.37For you have added rebellion to your sin;you show no respect, and you speak many angry words against God.”

Lord God my Father,

You are everything and completely in charge. Help me to see your will without shaping it to my desire. Help me to keep your perspective in all I see and do.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Restored to His design

“I cry to you, O God, but you don’t answer.I stand before you, but you don’t even look.

Did I not weep for those in trouble? Was I not deeply grieved for the needy?26So I looked for good, but evil came instead.I waited for the light, but darkness fell.27My heart is troubled and restless.

Let God weigh me on the scales of justice, for he knows my integrity.7If I have strayed from his pathway,or if my heart has lusted for what my eyes have seen,or if I am guilty of any other sin,8then let someone else eat the crops I have planted.Let all that I have planted be uprooted.

“If only someone would listen to me!Look, I will sign my name to my defense.Let the Almighty answer me.Let my accuser write out the charges against me.36I would face the accusation proudly.I would wear it like a crown.37For I would tell him exactly what I have done.I would come before him like a prince.

Lord God my Father,

I cry to you to restore me completely, forgive me of my past and deliver me to today free from guilt. Thank you for the process of restoration to who you created me to be and keep me on the path to completion. Give me the heart of Job so I can come to you in confidence under your authority completely.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

His way only

As long as I live, while I have breath from God,4my lips will speak no evil, and my tongue will speak no lies.

“God alone understands the way to wisdom; he knows where it can be found, for he looks throughout the whole earth and sees everything under the heavens. He decided how hard the winds should blow and how much rain should fall. He made the laws for the rain and laid out a path for the lightning. Then he saw wisdom and evaluated it. He set it in place and examined it thoroughly. And this is what he says to all humanity: ‘The fear of the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding.’”

For I am like a tree whose roots reach the water, whose branches are refreshed with the dew.20New honors are constantly bestowed on me,and my strength is continually renewed.’

Lord God my Father,

Keep my heart in your care, protect me from distraction. Allow your confidence to be mine and my strength come from your Truth.

In Jesus name I pray,

His plan, His desire.

But once he has made his decision, who can change his mind?Whatever he wants to do, he does.14So he will do to me whatever he has planned. He controls my destiny.

Lord God my Father,

You control my destiny, Keep my thoughts on your path and my will aligned with you.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

His Glory eliminates darkness

“I cry out, ‘Help!’ but no one answers me.I protest, but there is no justice.8God has blocked my way so I cannot move.He has plunged my path into darkness.

“But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last.

Lord God my Father,

Replace my despair with your peace, allow me to live in your hope so powerful your peace is all I see. Protect me from slipping into the darkness all around me. Your plan is always for your Glory, I live to bring you glory.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

My commander and leader

But if it were me, I would encourage you.I would try to take away your grief.6Instead, I suffer if I defend myself, and I suffer no less if I refuse to speak.

A mob gathers against me.11God has handed me over to sinners. He has tossed me into the hands of the wicked.

“You must defend my innocence, O God,since no one else will stand up for me.4You have closed their minds to understanding, but do not let them triumph.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to have an encouraging heart and to keep myself and other lifted up. Protect me from the darkness yet make my eyes open to it so I may not fall. You are my hope and defense and in you only will I win this battle.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Who is in control,,,

The whole earth is in the hands of the wicked, and God blinds the eyes of the judges. If he’s not the one who does it, who is?

“God is not a mortal like me,so I cannot argue with him or take him to trial.33If only there were a mediator between us,someone who could bring us together.34The mediator could make God stop beating me,and I would no longer live in terror of his punishment.35Then I could speak to him without fear, but I cannot do that in my own strength.

“I am disgusted with my life.Let me complain freely. My bitter soul must complain.2I will say to God, ‘Don’t simply condemn me—tell me the charge you are bringing against me.3What do you gain by oppressing me?Why do you reject me, the work of your own hands, while smiling on the schemes of the wicked?

Lord God my Father,

You are in control even when I see so much evil, allow me to rest in your peace and not try to do your work for you, soften my heart and give me discernment to do your will above my own. I am a broken sinner made worthy only by your grace.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen
