And the Lord said to Satan, “I, the Lord, reject your accusations, Satan. Yes, the Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebukes you. 

The seven lamps4:10 Or The seven facets (see 3:9); Hebrew reads These seven. represent the eyes of the Lord that search all around the world.

But this is what you must do: Tell the truth to each other. Render verdicts in your courts that are just and that lead to peace. 17Don’t scheme against each other. Stop your love of telling lies that you swear are the truth. I hate all these things, says the Lord.”

Lord God my Father,

Protect me from Satan and his lies, Help me to share your Truth in such a way it is heard. Restore our land.

the whole remnant of God’s people began to obey the message from the Lord their God. 

 Be strong, Jeshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people still left in the land. And now get to work, for I am with you, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. 5My Spirit remains among you, just as I promised when you came out of Egypt. So do not be afraid.’

Lord God my Father,

cause me to become obedient to your way and live it wholeheartedly. Give me strength to boldly live by your way and be a witness to you and keep me from fear.

Then the local residents tried to discourage and frighten the people of Judah to keep them from their work. 5They bribed agents to work against them and to frustrate their plans.

“The king should know that the Jews who came here to Jerusalem from Babylon are rebuilding this rebellious and evil city.

But because their God was watching over them, the leaders of the Jews were not prevented from building until a report was sent to Darius and he returned his decision.

‘We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are rebuilding the Temple that was built here many years ago by a great king of Israel. 12But because our ancestors angered the God of heaven, he abandoned them to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon,5:12 Aramaic Nebuchadnezzar the Chaldean. who destroyed this Temple and exiled the people to Babylonia. 

Lord God my Father,

You are my Joy and delight; may I serve you and others using your truth and strength. Protect me from my opinions and attitude, allow your Love to direct me.

all the people assembled in Jerusalem with a unified purpose. 

They wanted to sacrifice burnt offerings on it,

Then all the people gave a great shout, praising the Lord because the foundation of the Lord’s Temple had been laid.

Lord God my Father,

Unify your people, bring a desire to worship you back and unify us in our faith.

Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. 13But for twenty-one days the spirit prince10:13a Hebrew the prince; also in 10:13c, 20. of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels,10:13b Hebrew the chief princes. came to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia.10:13c As in one Greek version; Hebrew reads and I was left there with the kings of Persia. The meaning of the Hebrew is uncertain. 14Now I am here to explain

But the people who know their God will be strong and will resist him.

Lord God my Father,

Give me the strength and confidence to live completely to glorify you. Remove my doubt and question from my spirit and fill me with your purpose. Allow me to call on your spirit to fight for me and allow me to know you.

“At the end of their rule, when their sin is at its height, a fierce king, a master of intrigue, will rise to power. 24He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause a shocking amount of destruction and succeed in everything he does. He will destroy powerful leaders and devastate the holy people. 25He will be a master of deception and will become arrogant; he will destroy many without warning. He will even take on the Prince of princes in battle, but he will be broken, though not by human power.

Lord God my Father,

Forgive us for our sinful way, give those who desire to know you, confidence and boldness in their faith to carry your desire well to those willing to hear you. Open our eyes to see your Truth, the only truth.

But the stump and roots of the tree were left in the ground. This means that you will receive your kingdom back again when you have learned that heaven rules.

As he looked out across the city, he said, ‘Look at this great city of Babylon! By my own mighty power, I have built this beautiful city as my royal residence to display my majestic splendor.’

“After this time had passed, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up to heaven. My sanity returned, and I praised and worshiped the Most High and honored the one who lives forever.

But when his heart and mind were puffed up with arrogance, he was brought down from his royal throne and stripped of his glory. 

Then the other administrators and high officers began searching for some fault in the way Daniel was handling government affairs, but they couldn’t find anything to criticize or condemn. He was faithful, always responsible, and completely trustworthy. 5So they concluded, “Our only chance of finding grounds for accusing Daniel will be in connection with the rules of his religion.”

Very early the next morning, the king got up and hurried out to the lions’ den. 20When he got there, he called out in anguish, “Daniel, servant of the living God! Was your God, whom you serve so faithfully, able to rescue you from the lions?”

Lord God my Father,

Give me your Peace and plan for today, keep me from getting puffed up under my own focus and restore me to who you designed me to be. Use me for your will and protect me from the attack of the enemy.

Whenever the king consulted them in any matter requiring wisdom and balanced judgment, he found them ten times more capable than any of the magicians and enchanters in his entire kingdom.

Praise the name of God forever and ever, for he has all wisdom and power.21He controls the course of world events.

Therefore, I make this decree: If any people, whatever their race or nation or language, speak a word against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, they will be torn limb from limb, and their houses will be turned into heaps of rubble. There is no other god who can rescue like this!”

Lord God my Father,

May I be well versed and balanced in my understanding of who you are. May I praise you in all I do today and bring others to desire to know you as I do.

That is why the Lord says, “Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning.13Don’t tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead. “Return to the Lord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate,

“Look! I am sending you grain and new wine and olive oil, enough to satisfy your needs. You will no longer be an object of mockery among the surrounding nations.

Lord God my Father,

I am sorry for the times I fall away from you. Forgive me and give me strength to overcome my sinful desires and only desire what is good. Lead me to that place you desire me to be, with you and help me to allow your plan to rest on me well.

You have brought uncircumcised foreigners into my sanctuary—people who have no heart for God.

Lord God my Father,

Soften our stubborn heart and create in us a desire to come back to you. Protect us from the deceitful ways of evil.
