Delightfully

What the wicked dread will overtake them; what the righteous desire will be granted.

The fear of the Lord adds length to life, but the years of the wicked are cut short.

The righteous person is rescued from trouble, and it falls on the wicked instead.

The Lord detests those whose hearts are perverse, but he delights in those whose ways are blameless.

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.

Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult.

Lord God my Father,

Look into me and expose any wicked in me so I may address it and let you remove it. Allow me to witness well your way and live in a most delightful way.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Peaceful delight

Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and to insight, “You are my relative.”

I was filled with delight day after day, rejoicing always in his presence, 31rejoicing in his whole world and delighting in mankind.

rebuke the wise and they will love you. 9Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.

Lord God my Father,

Allow your Peace to rest on me so your wisdom can fall on me well. Help me to allow your delight into my heart and guide me. I want to know where I need to grow.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Delightful heart

Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. 7The beginning of wisdom is his: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. 8Cherish her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you. 9She will give you a garland to grace your head and present you with a glorious crown.”

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. 24Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. 25Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.

Lord God m Father,

Allow me to hear your wisdom and change my way. Keep me in your Truth and warn me of evil on my path. Allow me to live in your Peace and know when it is under attack so I may protect it.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Now

For the upright will live in the land, and the blameless will remain in it; 22but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the unfaithful will be torn from it.

Do not say to your neighbor, “Come back tomorrow and I’ll give it to you”— when you already have it with you.

Lord God my Father,

Cause me to be upright and honest in my dealings. Help me to not put off what should be done.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

His heart in me.

Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?”

God said to Solomon, “Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth, possessions or honor, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king, 12therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have.”

Praise be to the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds.

Lord God my Father,

Know my heart and restore it to your design. Make me aware when I am more important than you in my thoughts. Grant me a Peace that overwhelms the struggles around me and give me a heart that longs for your way.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Quiet wisdom

So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?”

Then the king gave his ruling: “Give the living baby to the first woman. Do not kill him; she is his mother.”

28When all Israel heard the verdict the king had given, they held the king in awe, because they saw that he had wisdom from God to administer justice.

Lord God my Father,

Own my spirit and give me discernment to speak only when you inspire. Keep me quiet and calm in my thoughts and allow your wisdom to guide me in all relationships.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

One heart, His.

I run in the path of your commands, for you have broadened my understanding.

Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight.

It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.

Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.

May my tongue sing of your word, for all your commands are righteous.

Lord God my Father,

I chase after you and you bring me my delight. You call me worthy, so I am. Allow your Peace to rest on me and protect me from attack. Help me to keep your word on my heart and my lips at all times.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Delightfully

“As surely as the Lord lives, who has delivered me out of every trouble, 30I will surely carry out this very day what I swore to you by the Lord, the God of Israel:

The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; 24though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.

As for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more. 15My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds, of your saving acts all day long—

Lord God my Father,

You have delivered me to today, I know you will carry me through my trials. Lord give me the desire to do you will today with your Peace as my strength and help me to praise you in all things at all times.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Giving myself freely

Now, who is willing to consecrate themselves to the Lord today?”

6Then the leaders of families, the officers of the tribes of Israel, the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds, and the officials in charge of the king’s work gave willingly. 7They gave toward the work on the temple of God five thousand talents and ten thousand darics of gold, ten thousand talents of silver, eighteen thousand talents of bronze and a hundred thousand talents of iron. 8Anyone who had precious stones gave them to the treasury of the temple of the Lord in the custody of Jehiel the Gershonite. 9The people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly.

I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity. All these things I have given willingly and with honest intent. And now I have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you.

Lord God I am a sinner who struggles to release my life to you completely. Take me and use me to do your will. Give me a day that honor’s you only, remove my selfish nature and soften my way to only desire to serve you alone.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen
