But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.

 I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil.

so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from faith— 27to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.

Lord God my Father,

Your plan is perfect, keep me from having doubt. I want your wisdom and protection from evil that lurks. Give me the strength to be obedient in the battles of my mind and make my faith more powerful than my doubt.

What the people of Israel sought so earnestly they did not obtain. The elect among them did, but the others were hardened, 8as it is written:

“God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that could not see and ears that could not hear, to this very day.”

Do not be arrogant, but tremble.

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his udgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! 34“Who has known the mind of the Lord?

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. 

Lord God my Father,

You are all knowing and all things are in your power. Keep me from trying to understand, rather show me how to allow your understanding to rest on me. Your will is perfect and Peace, replace my selfish will. Your way is perfect, mine is based on my sin nature, show me how to turn away from my comforts. Allow your Peace to rest on my mind and restore me. I am nothing but darkness without you.

The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. 7The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.

9You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. 

And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their goal. 32Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone. 

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 

Lord God my Father,

You are all knowing and infinite. Shape me beyond my understanding and into your design. Cause me to submit and do your will with out the world’s influence acting on me. Make me wise beyond my understanding and protect me from the deceiver of this world. Make me just in your will and keep me from question. Reveal your self in my heart and cause me to follow without distraction.

Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 

So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

Lord God my Father,

You are all powerful and with your I have power. Help me with my faith so it guides me more than my earthly desire. As I am, you still love me but I wish to be more like the example of Jesus and be bound by the Holy Spirit within me. Remove the bonds of sin and make me a slave to your nature.

“The righteous will live by faith.”

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 

 “If my falsehood enhances God’s truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?” 8Why not say—as some slanderously claim that we say—“Let us do evil that good may result”? Their condemnation is just!

Lord God my Father,

Help me to purge my false beliefs and follow you with all my heart. Help me to carry your will and allow your Peace to be a shield to protect me from darkness. Your Truth is perfect, I want to be closer to your design.

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

Lord God my Father,

You are all knowing and powerful. Help to trust your plan without doubt or understanding. Help me to follow and use your weapons to advance your kingdom. Make me aware of deceivers and allow your Truth to overcome the struggle. Only Jesus is worthy, help me to know him deeply. Your strength is the only strength I have, alone I am weak. Help me to encourage and be encouraged.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you.

Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.

Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it,

Lord God my Father,

You are all knowing and all powerful. You know me better than I do. Help me to know the darkness that teases me and protect me from falling to it. Allow your delight to overwhelm all my desires and satisfy me so temptation has no hold on me. I want to live as you designed it, to enjoy your Peace.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 

Lord God my father,

Your way brings Peace and Strength. All Praise is to you. Renew me with your Spirit, restore me with your Peace. Protect me from Satan’s wit so his way is not known to me. Your Glory transforms and displays your way within me. The pressure of the world has no effect when your Peace is with me.

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 11Whether, then, it is I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed.

When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. 38But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body. 

Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. 14Do everything in love.

Lord God my Father,

You are everything good that lives in me, without you, there is selfishness. Your Grace defines me and makes me worthy. Give me the opportunity to share you with others and strengthen my faith today. Allow your way to grow in me and my way to wither. Keep me from deceit so all focus is on your work. Help me to stand firm on your message and do all things in your love.

Now eagerly desire the greater gifts.

And yet I will show you the most excellent way.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort.

But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.

Lord God my Father,

You are provider and sustainer, your will is perfect. Bring me close and reveal your way in me so I may move only in your permission. Reveal the fruits of your spirit and make them strong in my desire to remove my limitations of understanding. Help me to Love as you do without my selfish desires. Help my life to encourage others to seek your way so your delight overwhelms our attitudes. Bring order to the chaos of our thoughts.
