The earth suffers for the sins of its people, for they have twisted God’s instructions, violated his laws, and broken his everlasting covenant. 6Therefore, a curse consumes the earth.

But my heart is heavy with grief. Weep for me, for I wither away. Deceit still prevails, and treachery is everywhere. 17Terror and traps and snares will be your lot, you people of the earth.

In that day the people will proclaim, “This is our God! We trusted in him, and he saved us! This is the Lord, in whom we trusted. Let us rejoice in the salvation he brings!”

You are a God who does what is right, and you smooth out the path ahead of them. 8 Lord, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws; our heart’s desire is to glorify your name.

If I find briers and thorns growing, I will attack them; I will burn them up— 5unless they turn to me for help. Let them make peace with me;

Those who convict the innocent by their false testimony will disappear. A similar fate awaits those who use trickery to pervert justice and who tell lies to destroy the innocent.

Lord God my Father,

Bring me close and protect me from the deception around me. Help me to keep my gaze on you and not on the noise around me. Your plan is perfect, and I am not able to understand it. Allow my faith to guide me in my thoughts and actions. Help me to trust you wholeheartedly.

The Egyptians will lose heart, and I will confuse their plans. They will plead with their idols for wisdom

The Lord will make himself known to the Egyptians. Yes, they will know the Lord and will give their sacrifices and offerings to him. They will make a vow to the Lord and will keep it. 22The Lord will strike Egypt, and then he will bring healing. For the Egyptians will turn to the Lord, and he will listen to their pleas and heal them.

Lord God my Father,

Bring strength and peace to my heart, raise up your people and make your light strong in us, keep the darkness from having a place to rest. Make your Truth known and banish the grip of evil in this world. Return us to your desire. Heal your land.

You are my constant Joy and Peace and you will be my guide forever. Thank you for being so close and protect me from looking past you and focusing on the struggles. Your power and plan is beyond my comprehension, help me to be still and just know you are God. Your Glory is all there is.

Your Love for me is constant even when I feel alone. Lord God, fill my heart with your desire as you designed it. Cause me to be satisfied with you alone and remove expectations from my thoughts. Praising you is all I need, anything more is a bonus. Your way is True.

I trust in you and your plan. Keep me close so I don’t wonder too far from you. Your amazing Truth is my strength.

You have charged us to keep your commandments carefully. 5Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your decrees!

Reassure me of your promise, made to those who fear you. 39Help me abandon my shameful ways; for your regulations are good.

 Lord, you are mine! I promise to obey your words! 58With all my heart I want your blessings. Be merciful as you promised. 59I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow your laws.

I used to wander off until you disciplined me; but now I closely follow your word. 68You are good and do only good; teach me your decrees.

As pressure and stress bear down on me, I find joy in your commands. 144Your laws are always right; help me to understand them so I may live.

Lord God my Father,

Open my heart to your desire and protect me from the evil one. Cause me to find comfort in your commands that give the the strength I need to avoid falling. Your promise is all I need, yet I struggle with my sinful desires. Help me to keep my ponder in your Truth and Peace. I used to seek only my desire, now I only want yours. As I enter into self imposed stress by not being still, place your commandments on my heart to strengthen the understanding you desire for me.

The Lord protects those of childlike faith; I was facing death, and he saved me. 7Let my soul be at rest again, for the Lord has been good to me.

The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone. 23This is the Lord’s doing, and it is wonderful to see. 24This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Thank you for giving me confidence in your power and plan. Protect me and help me to be still in your presence. I am grateful to know you and your nature, this is where my peace comes from. Thank you for your grace and strength that will be with me forever.

Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out!

“Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he rescued them from their distress.

He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves.

How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands.

Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord,

Lord God my Father,

You have redeemed me and restored me. You help me when I cry out to you and calm my struggles. You bring delight to my soul.

The Lord blanketed Egypt in darkness, for they had defied105:28 As in Greek and Syriac versions; Hebrew reads had not defied. his commands to let his people go.

They forgot God, their savior, who had done such great things in Egypt— 22such wonderful things in the land of Ham, such awesome deeds at the Red Sea. 23So he declared he would destroy them. But Moses, his chosen one, stepped between the Lord and the people. He begged him to turn from his anger and not destroy them.

Again and again he rescued them, but they chose to rebel against him, and they were finally destroyed by their sin.

Lord God my Father,

Keep me close so your light can protect me from the darkness around me. Make your path obvious to me so I can only follow you. I praise you and worship you in all things because your plan is perfect. Rescue me from the distractions ahead with your Peace.

O Lord, what a variety of things you have made! In wisdom you have made them all.

May all my thoughts be pleasing to him, for I rejoice in the Lord.
