“What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him? 7You made them a little lower than the angels; you crowned them with glory and honor 8and put everything under their feet.” In putting everything under them,

But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. 

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.

Lord God my Father,

Your Love endures forever, you are the answer to all things. Help me to release my desire to understand so your will can rest well with me. Help me to use your Peace to encourage myself and others. You understand all my struggles personally and never fell to temptation, give me that strength.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

8Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

10And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Lord God my Father,

Your way is freedom, help me to know this and not question you. Protect me from the attack constantly looking for me. Keep my focus on you without allowing distraction. You are the only answer for real Peace. You restore me and strengthen me, help me to allow you to have your way, I have proven my way doesn’t work as well as yours.

In Jesus name I pray,

As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.

and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God.

So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

Lord God my Father,

Your plan is perfect and I struggle with the things I want to happen in my desire. Help me to accept your plan as perfect to me and show me how to process my emotions as you designed me to so I can grow in trusting you. I have my preference but submit to your design. Give me strength to carry the hurt with grace so I can be ready for your strength. In my struggles, you need to be my total focus so I don’t fall into my despair.

To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. 16They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. 12It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,

Lord God my Father,

Your plan is perfect and restores order and Peace. Test me and cause me to grow in wisdom and strength so your design protects me from my poor reactions. Keep my thoughts focused on gratitude and Peace so frustration is kept at bay. Your Grace covers all things and I want to live in it constantly to represent you well.

Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. 

Lord God my Father,

You know all things. Check my heart and give me discernment over good and evil. Give me strength and courage to keep evil out and allow your Peace in. Show me your way and help me with any struggle that wants to distract me from your plan.

In Jesus name Amen.

Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

6Who, being in very nature God,

did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;

7rather, he made himself nothing

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Lord God my Father,

Your design is perfect, my decisions lead me away from it. Lord God, help me to be still in your presence and know your desire. Allow me to carry you in such a way, not only I but those around me will feel your Peace and desire it over our own flesh. You showed me how to be with Christ as the example, shield Satan from my thoughts and allow your Peace to overwhelm me completely. Give me strength to carry you without fear and pride. Restore me to your design.

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you,

And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. 4Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.

Lord God my Father,

Your perfect Peace is the power to overcome all darkness. Help me to know you so I can allow you to have your way with me. Cause me to allow you to dwell in me completely. Your Love is so far beyond understand, help me to just allow it without question. Help me to put the past behind me so the present is pure in your desire. Help me to stand firm in resistance of my sinful desires of the past so the present is beyond my ability but a representation of you. Make me clean and new with every breath I take.

We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, 10so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way:

Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. 22But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation

Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.

Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.

You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 

Lord God my Father,

You are creator of all things and I wish to live in your design. Protect me from thoughts that are not pleasing to you and actions that do not glorify you. Give me your Peace, wisdom and strength to stand with you in all things and turn away from my shortcomings. Remove my earthly way and show me your way so I am living proof of your nature. Grant me freedom over my past so the present is as it should be.

I am sending you to them18to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

Paul replied, “Short time or long—I pray to God that not only you but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except for these chains.”

Lord God my Father,

Your plan is perfect, show me what to do and give me confidence and courage to do your will today. Give me discernment over the ever prowling Satan so I may reject his distractions and live your will loudly. Help me to show you in a light that darkness can not cover.

Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them.

Some in the crowd shouted one thing and some another, and since the commander could not get at the truth because of the uproar, he ordered that Paul be taken into the barracks. 35When Paul reached the steps, the violence of the mob was so great he had to be carried by the soldiers. 36The crowd that followed kept shouting, “Get rid of him!”

‘The God of our ancestors has chosen you to know his will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from his mouth. 15You will be his witness to all people of what you have seen and heard. 

The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, “Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.”

Lord God my Father,

You are Truth and Light. Give me discernment over your way and the way of the deceiver. Give me courage to stand fast for your perfect nature and strength to deny the darkness. Give me your Peace in every situation I may face so I don’t fail to represent you well. Cause me to share your way in such a way it is appealing and confident.
