They refused to keep my decrees and follow my regulations, even though obedience would have given them life. And they also violated my Sabbath days. 

“Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Again and again you remind me of your sin and your guilt. You don’t even try to hide it! In everything you do, your sins are obvious for all to see. So now the time of your punishment has come!

“But now I clap my hands in indignation over your dishonest gain and bloodshed. How strong and courageous will you be in my day of reckoning? I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will do what I said. I will scatter you among the nations and purge you of your wickedness. And when I have been dishonored among the nations because of you, you will know that I am the Lord.”

Lord God my Father,

Give me the power to follow you direction and bring you Glory in my obedience. Remove my sinful past from my spirit and deliver me to this moment under your authority alone.

Even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were there, their righteousness would save no one but themselves

As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were there, they wouldn’t be able to save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved by their righteousness.

The people of Jerusalem are like grapevines growing among the trees of the forest. Since they are useless, I have thrown them on the fire to be burned. 7And I will see to it that if they escape from one fire, they will fall into another. When I turn against them, you will know that I am the Lord. 8And I will make the land desolate because my people have been unfaithful to me. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!”

And I will reaffirm my covenant with you, and you will know that I am the Lord. You will remember your sins and cover your mouth in silent shame when I forgive you of all that you have done. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!”

Lord God my Father,

Help me to find my place in your family, expose in my heart areas I refuse to surrender and make me as you designed me to be.

Then Jeremiah the prophet said to Hananiah, “Listen, Hananiah! The Lord has not sent you, but the people believe your lies. Therefore, this is what the Lord says: ‘You must die. Your life will end this very year because you have rebelled against the Lord.’” Two months later the prophet Hananiah died.

Have you seen this, son of man?” he asked. “Is it nothing to the people of Judah that they commit these detestable sins, leading the whole nation into violence, thumbing their noses at me, and provoking my anger? Therefore, I will respond in fury. I will neither pity nor spare them. And though they cry for mercy, I will not listen.”

Lord God my Father,

Remove all my rebellion, I wish to be fully under your authority. Give me strength over my sinful tendency, direct my path.

The Lord made the earth by his power, and he preserves it by his wisdom. With his own understanding he stretched out the heavens. When he speaks in the thunder, the heavens roar with rain. He causes the clouds to rise over the earth. He sends the lightning with the rain and releases the wind from his storehouses. The whole human race is foolish and has no knowledge! The craftsmen are disgraced by the idols they make, for their carefully shaped works are a fraud. These idols have no breath or power. Idols are worthless; they are ridiculous lies!

Lord God my Father,

Help me to understand your plan and not allow fear or arrogance to enter me.

I turned away from God,

but then I was sorry.

I kicked myself for my stupidity!

I was thoroughly ashamed of all I did in my younger days.’

“The people will no longer quote this proverb:

‘The parents have eaten sour grapes,

but their children’s mouths pucker at the taste.’

30All people will die for their own sins—those who eat the sour grapes will be the ones whose mouths will pucker.

Lord God my Father,

Thank you for your unconditional love and grace.

How long will this go on? If they are prophets, they are prophets of deceit, inventing everything they say. 27By telling these false dreams, they are trying to get my people to forget me, just as their ancestors did by worshiping the idols of Baal.

“Therefore,” says the Lord, “I am against these prophets who steal messages from each other and claim they are from me. 31I am against these smooth-tongued prophets who say, ‘This prophecy is from the Lord!’ 32I am against these false prophets. Their imaginary dreams are flagrant lies that lead my people into sin. I did not send or appoint them, and they have no message at all for my people. I, the Lord, have spoken!

Lord God my Father,

Bring your truth to my ears, protect me from the lies and Satan’s deceit.

This is what the Lord says:“Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans,who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the Lord.

“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank,with roots that reach deep into the water.Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought.Their leaves stay green,

But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives.I give all people their due rewards,according to what their actions deserve.”

Lord God my Father,

Help me to stay focused on your desire alone and pass your blessing on to others, Make my heart pleasing to you.

‘As surely as the Lord lives’

This shows how I will rot away the pride of Judah and Jerusalem.  These wicked people refuse to listen to me. They stubbornly follow their own desires and worship other gods. Therefore, they will become like this loincloth—good for nothing!

So this is what the Lord says to his people:“You love to wander far from me and do not restrain yourselves.Therefore, I will no longer accept you as my people.Now I will remember all your wickedness and will punish you for your sins.”

Can any of the worthless foreign gods send us rain?Does it fall from the sky by itself?No, you are the one, O Lord our God!Only you can do such things.So we will wait for you to help us.

Lord God my Father,

Thank you for loving me while I am still in my sin nature, Change the heart of your people, bring us back under your authority, Destroy the evil in our hearts and remove those who turn away from you from our presence.

“‘When people fall down, don’t they get up again?When they discover they’re on the wrong road, don’t they turn back? Then why do these people stay on their self-destructive path?

“My people bend their tongues like bows to shoot out lies.They refuse to stand up for the truth.They only go from bad to worse.They do not know me,”says the Lord.

But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone:that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth,and that I delight in these things.I, the Lord, have spoken!

I know, Lord, that our lives are not our own.We are not able to plan our own course. So correct me, Lord, but please be gentle.Do not correct me in anger, for I would die. Pour out your wrath on the nations that refuse to acknowledge you—on the peoples that do not call upon your name.For they have devoured your people Israel, they have devoured and consumed them,making the land a desolate wilderness.

Lord God my Father,

You have shown us our past is with us again, Help us to come under your authority again and live in your blessing.

I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors,for you have given me wisdom and strength.You have told me what we asked of you

If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. 18But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.”

Tell them all this, but do not expect them to listen. Shout out your warnings, but do not expect them to respond. 28Say to them, ‘This is the nation whose people will not obey the Lord their God and who refuse to be taught. Truth has vanished from among them; it is no longer heard on their lips. 29Shave your head in mourning, and weep alone on the mountains. For the Lord has rejected and forsaken this generation that has provoked his fury.’

Lord God my Father,

Thank you for loving me and I pray I can do your work this day. Help me to stand in your strength, mine is way too small.
