But I have heard that when you hear about a dream you can interpret it.”16“It is beyond my power to do this,” Joseph replied. “But God can tell you what it means and set you at ease.”

 God is telling Pharaoh in advance what he is about to do.

This famine will be so severe that even the memory of the good years will be erased.

Lord God my Father,

Open my heart to accept your wisdom, give me courage to act on it without delay. Allow me to place all my worries at your feet and trust you completely.

But his brothers hated Joseph because their father loved him more than the rest of them. They couldn’t say a kind word to him.

Judah recognized them immediately and said, “She is more righteous than I am, because I didn’t arrange for her to marry my son Shelah.

The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master.

Potiphar noticed this and realized that the Lord was with Joseph, giving him success in everything he did. 4This pleased Potiphar, so he soon made Joseph his personal attendant. He put him in charge of his entire household and everything he owned. 

Lord God my Father,

Help me to look past what I see to expect your glory to be released in your plan. Help me to leave your work to you and trust in your plan. Be with me this day, guide and bless my actions and may all I do please you.

 “We met your brother, Esau, and he is already on his way to meet you—with an army of 400 men!” 7Jacob was terrified at the news.

O Lord, please rescue me from the hand of my brother, Esau. I am afraid that he is coming to attack me, along with my wives and children. 12But you promised me, ‘I will surely treat you kindly,

Jacob thought, “I will try to appease him by sending gifts ahead of me. When I see him in person, perhaps he will be friendly to me.

“Your name will no longer be Jacob,” the man told him. “From now on you will be called Israel, Israel means “God fights.” because you have fought with God and with men and have won.”

“But why should we let him treat our sister like a prostitute?” they retorted angrily.

Lord God my Father,

I see your plan is quite different than I would expect. Help me to live in your truth from your perspective and understand the struggle is important.

“The angel said, ‘Look up, and you will see that only the streaked, speckled, and spotted males are mating with the females of your flock. For I have seen how Laban has treated you. 

“Please, sir, forgive me if I don’t get up for you. I’m having my monthly period.” So Laban continued his search, but he could not find the household idols.

Lord God my Father,

Bring your truth to bear on this country, my friends and myself, Lead me to your work with your power. Alone I am weak and afraid, help me keep my focus on you alone.

In Jesus name I pray,

One day I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have finished giving you everything I have promised you.”

Lord God my Father,

Your plan is from a perfect perspective I don’t understand. Allow me to accept your peace in my life especially in the struggles I currently feel.

In Jesus name I pray,

Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and lentil stew. Esau ate the meal, then got up and left. He showed contempt for his rights as the firstborn.

“But are you really my son Esau?” he asked.“Yes, I am,” Jacob replied.

Isaac began to tremble uncontrollably and said, “Then who just served me wild game? I have already eaten it, and I blessed him just before you came. And yes, that blessing must stand!”

But Rebekah heard about Esau’s plans. So she sent for Jacob and told him, “Listen, Esau is consoling himself by plotting to kill you. 43So listen carefully, my son. Get ready and flee to my brother, Laban, in Haran. 

Lord God my Father,

Help me to see the blessing you have given me and protect me from deceit and open my heart to allow your peace to rest on me properly.

Then God opened Hagar’s eyes, and she saw a well full of water. 

“Yes,” he replied. “Here I am.”

I know that you truly fear God. You have not withheld from me even your son, your only son.”

The servant watched her in silence, wondering whether or not the Lord had given him success in his mission.

 “The Lord has obviously brought you here, so there is nothing we can say. 51Here is Rebekah; take her and go.

Lord God my Father,

Open my eyes to only see your Truth, give me the strength of your servant to do your will free from distraction. Make your desire for me clear.

Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return about this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.”15Sarah was afraid, so she denied it, saying, “I didn’t laugh.”But the Lord said, “No, you did laugh.”

So the Lord told Abraham, “I have heard a great outcry from Sodom and Gomorrah, because their sin is so flagrant. 21I am going down to see if their actions are as wicked as I have heard. If not, I want to know.”

Finally, Abraham said, “Lord, please don’t be angry with me if I speak one more time. Suppose only ten are found there?” And the Lord replied, “Then I will not destroy it for the sake of the ten.”

 The outcry against this place is so great it has reached the Lord, and he has sent us to destroy it.”

“Oh no, my lord!” Lot begged. 19“You have been so gracious to me and saved my life, and you have shown such great kindness. But I cannot go to the mountains. Disaster would catch up to me there, and I would soon die. 20See, there is a small village nearby. Please let me go there instead; don’t you see how small it is? Then my life will be saved.”

But God had listened to Abraham’s request and kept Lot safe, removing him from the disaster that engulfed the cities on the plain.

In the dream God responded, “Yes, I know you are innocent. That’s why I kept you from sinning against me, and why I did not let you touch her.

Lord God my Father,

Remove my self imposed limits of what you can do thru me, give me courage to be a part of your plan the way you wish. Help me to be nothing more than your servant.

In Jesus name I pray,

There he built another altar and dedicated it to the Lord, and he worshiped the Lord.

But the people of this area were extremely wicked and constantly sinned against the Lord.

“Blessed be Abram by God Most High,Creator of heaven and earth.20And blessed be God Most High,who has defeated your enemies for you.”

Lord God my Father,

May I build altars in my life to remind me of your Glory in my life and gain protection from the evil around me. Bless me and allow me to be your blessing.

for among all the people of the earth, I can see that you alone are righteous. 

 “I will never again curse the ground because of the human race, even though everything they think or imagine is bent toward evil from childhood. I will never again destroy all living things. 22As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.”

Lord God my Father,

Help me to stay in the desire that pleases you. My desire is to be obedient to your way without resistance.
