Because I am going to cut off the righteous and the wicked, my sword will be unsheathed against everyone from south to north. 5Then all people will know that I the Lord have drawn my sword from its sheath; it will not return again.’

And when they ask you, ‘Why are you groaning?’ you shall say, ‘Because of the news that is coming. Every heart will melt with fear and every hand go limp; every spirit will become faint and every leg will be wet with urine.’ It is coming! It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign Lord.”

Lord God my Father,

Keep me under your care and protect me from the deceiver. Use me to show your way so others may be led to you in your peace within me. Lead me to share your Truth to those who may not know you and warn them of time coming where your wrath separates your people from the lost.

“But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die. 

Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. 

When you offer your gifts—the sacrifice of your children in the fire—you continue to defile yourselves with all your idols to this day. 

Then I said, “Sovereign Lord, they are saying of me, ‘Isn’t he just telling parables?’ ”

Lord God my Father,

You are everything good, reveal in me where I have wondered off. I want to do your will in all things this day. Protect and warn me of darkness trying to get my attention and show me how to turn to you at all times. Loving you my way is filled with sin, restore me so I may love you your way and make my heart sincere.

“ ‘Because you did not remember the days of your youth but enraged me with all these things, I will surely bring down on your head what you have done, declares the Sovereign Lord. Did you not add lewdness to all your other detestable practices?

All the trees of the forest will know that I the Lord bring down the tall tree and make the low tree grow tall. I dry up the green tree and make the dry tree flourish.

“ ‘I the Lord have spoken, and I will do it.’ ”

Lord God my Father,

Keep me and protect me so my thoughts will stay in your desire. Keep me from looking at the distractions so abundant around me. Help me to stay in your protection and nourish me so I may thrive under your care.

I will do this to recapture the hearts of the people of Israel, who have all deserted me for their idols.’

Lord God my Father,

I need you to show me where I have compromised my design you made me for. I need to separate my sinful desires from my thoughts and restore my focus completely on you. Expose my weakness so I may own it and have it taken. Allow your quiet Peace to be my only desire.

“Alas, Sovereign Lord! Are you going to destroy the entire remnant of Israel in this outpouring of your wrath on Jerusalem?”

“The sin of the people of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great; the land is full of bloodshed and the city is full of injustice. 

Then the Spirit of the Lord came on me, and he told me to say: “This is what the Lord says:

“Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: None of my words will be delayed any longer; whatever I say will be fulfilled, declares the Sovereign Lord.’ ”

Lord God my Father,

We are a sinful nation and deserve your wrath. Lord God, I cry out to you, give us wisdom on how best to carry your will into this day. May your Truth become a confidence and give us courage to speak your words. Keep my judgmental attitude away from my lips so only your Truth is spoken in your Love. Thank you for the struggles of the day, show me how to take strength and wisdom from them without dumping my emotional judgement on them. May your foundation stay under my feet today.

As he spoke, the Spirit came into me and raised me to my feet, and I heard him speaking to me.

And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or be terrified by them, though they are a rebellious people. 7You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious.

Then the Spirit came into me and raised me to my feet. He spoke to me and said:

Lord God my Father,

You are the answer to all my struggles, help me to trust and not question you. Lift me out of my comfort and into your desire for me. Give me strength to stand in the darkness without fear or faintness. Show your light and open the hearts of the stubborn so they may grow to know you. Allow your wisdom to overwhelm my thoughts so your message is heard.

“The Lord is righteous, yet I rebelled against his command.

“See, Lord, how distressed I am! I am in torment within, and in my heart I am disturbed, for I have been most rebellious.

In the day of the Lord’s anger no one escaped or survived; those I cared for and reared my enemy has destroyed.”

Lord God my Father,

You are all things good, help me to only hear you in the shouts of darkness. I am broken and stressed without you and act out in the most disturbing ways. Destroy the enemy within and around me and restore me to your blessings.

It is time for the Lord’s vengeance; he will repay her what she deserves. 7Babylon was a gold cup in the Lord’s hand; she made the whole earth drunk.

For the Lord is a God of retribution; he will repay in full. 57I will make her officials and wise men drunk, her governors, officers and warriors as well; they will sleep forever and not awake,” declares the King, whose name is the Lord Almighty.

Lord God my Father,

You are in charge of all and your will happens for your good. Help me to not try to understand what you are up to but help me to be still and just know you and allow your way to bring me comfort and confidence. Tell me when to take action and how and when to rest and gain your peaceful strength so I respond well to today’s struggles.

At the sound of Babylon’s capture the earth will tremble;

its cry will resound among the nations.

Lord God my Father,

Restore this land to your ways and soften the grip of the evil one. Allow your design to bring unity and remove authority that evil has clamed.

Do not be afraid, Jacob my servant, for I am with you,” declares the Lord. “Though I completely destroy all the nations among which I scatter you, I will not completely destroy you. I will discipline you but only in due measure; I will not let you go entirely unpunished.”

On all the roofs in Moab and in the public squares there is nothing but mourning, for I have broken Moab like a jar that no one wants,” declares the Lord.

Lord God my Father,

Keep fear at bay for me and give me the confidence to carry your will as you desire. Discipline me as you see fit and shape me into your design and away from my worldly desires. I deserve your wrath and am willing to suffer it for it gives me the strength and wisdom I need to get unstuck in my ways. Break me so I may be restored to your design.
