In those days Israel had no king; all the people did whatever seemed right in their own eyes.

Lord God my Father,

May my desire be with you, so everything I desire is under your authority,

Then Delilah pouted, “How can you tell me, ‘I love you,’ when you don’t share your secrets with me? You’ve made fun of me three times now, and you still haven’t told me what makes you so strong!” 16She tormented him with her nagging day after day until he was sick to death of it.

“I will do as before and shake myself free.” But he didn’t realize the Lord had left him.

Then Samson prayed to the Lord, “Sovereign Lord, remember me again. O God, please strengthen me just one more time. 

Lord God my Father,

Protect me from the nagging way of evil and keep me in your Peace, be with me and use me to do your will from under your protection.

In Jesus name I pray,

But his wife said, “If the Lord were going to kill us, he wouldn’t have accepted our burnt offering and grain offering. He wouldn’t have appeared to us and told us this wonderful thing and done these miracles.”

At last, on the seventh day he told her the answer because she was tormenting him with her nagging.

Lord God my Father,

Give me your wisdom to understand as you wish me to and no more, Bring your peace on me to keep me aware of your desire without my interpretation.

The Lord replied, “Did I not rescue you from the Egyptians, the Amorites, the Ammonites, the Philistines, 12the Sidonians, the Amalekites, and the Maonites? When they oppressed you, you cried out to me for help, and I rescued you. 13Yet you have abandoned me and served other gods.

Lord God my Father,

History shows me of your love and patience with your people, Lord God restore our hearts to desire only you and not stray. Give us strength to fight evil with your loving, non compromising power and turn our hearts back to you. Slay the enemy for your Glory to be released in your people wholeheartedly.

` When Gideon heard the dream and its interpretation, he bowed in worship before the Lord.7:15 As in Greek version; Hebrew reads he bowed.

But Gideon repl ied, “I will not rule over you, nor will my son. The Lord will rule over you!

Gideon made a sacred ephod from the gold and put it in Ophrah, his hometown. But soon all the Israelite s prostituted themselves by worshiping it, and it became a trap for Gideon and his family.

As soon as Gideon died, the Israelites prostituted themselves by worshiping the images of Baal, making Baal- berith their god. 34They forgot the Lord their God, who had rescued them 

Lord God my Father,

Overwhelm me with your Truth, I know it’s beyond my ability to understand so allow it to rest well with me and protect me from looking away from you in my comfort.

So Israel was reduced to starvation by the Midianites. Then the Israelites cried out to the Lord for help.

The Lord said to him, “I will be with you. And you will destroy the Midianites as if you were fighting against one man.”

Early the next morning, as the people of the town began to stir, someone discovered that the altar of Baal had been broken down and that the Asherah pole beside it had been cut down. In their place a new altar had been built, and on it were the remains of the bull that had been sacrificed. 29The people said to each other, “Who did this?” And after asking around and making a careful search, they learned that it was Gideon, the son of Joash.30“Bring out your son,” the men of the town demanded of Joash. “He must die for destroying the altar of Baal and for cutting down the Asherah pole.”31But Joash shouted to the mob that confronted him, “Why are you defending Baal? Will you argue his case? Whoever pleads his case will be put to death by morning! If Baal truly is a god, let him defend himself and destroy the one who broke down his altar!” 32From then on Gideon was called Jerub-baal, which means “Let Baal defend himself,” because he broke down Baal’s altar.

Then the Spirit of the Lord clothed Gideon with power.

Lord God my Father,

Deliver me from the oppression of the deceiver, and give me power over my sin nature. Make me bold in your task, obedient to you only. Clothe me in your power.

But when the people of Israel cried out to the Lord for help, the Lord again raised up a rescuer to save them. His name was Ehud son of Gera, a left-handed man of the tribe of Benjamin. 

Lord God my Father,
Give me wisdom to see your Truth in this world and protect me from deceit.
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen

You have seen everything the Lord your God has done for you during my lifetime. The Lord your God has fought for you against your enemies. 

Lord God my Father,

Open my eyes to see your hand and protect me from deceit.

In Jesus name I pray,

Hebron still belongs to the descendants of Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite because he wholeheartedly followed the Lord, the God of Israel.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to remove my struggle to worship you wholeheartedly, I wish to be completely obedient.

So the Israelites examined their food, but they did not consult the Lord.

Lord God my Father,

Keep my thoughts focused on you and protect me from deceit,
