Arise, O Lord!Stand against them, and bring them to their knees!Rescue me from the wicked with your sword!14By the power of your hand, O Lord,destroy those who look to this world for their reward.But satisfy the hunger of your treasured ones.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to release my struggles to your care and find healing and strength in your plan. Your Glory will be released in your time.

 ‘If your descendants live as they should and follow me faithfully with all their heart and soul, one of them will always sit on the throne of Israel.’

The one who rules righteously,who rules in the fear of God,4is like the light of morning at sunrise,like a morning without clouds,like the gleaming of the sunon new grass after rain.’

Don’t sin by letting anger control you.Think about it overnight and remain silent.

Because of your unfailing love, I can enter your house;I will worship at your Temple with deepest awe.8Lead me in the right path, O Lord,or my enemies will conquer me.Make your way plain for me to follow.

Lord God my Father,

Keep me close and on your path, protect me from deceit. Allow your righteousness to rest on me and allow me to not doubt your plan for me.

The people rejoiced over the offerings, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord, and King David was filled with joy.

 Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things.

“O Lord, the God of our ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, make your people always want to obey you. See to it that their love for you never changes. 19Give my son Solomon the wholehearted desire to obey all your commands, laws, and decrees, and to do everything necessary to build this Temple, for which I have made these preparations.”

So King Solomon summoned Adonijah, and they brought him down from the altar. He came and bowed respectfully before King Solomon, who dismissed him, saying, “Go on home.”

Lord God my Father,

Open my heart and keep me in your Joy as I give my all back to you where it came from. Help me to see where I stray and keep me on the path you laid before me. Help me to have mercy on those who try to hurt me because of my love for you.

In Jesus name I pray,

And if he continues to obey my commands and regulations as he does now, I will make his kingdom last forever.’

“And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. 

Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. 

Lord God my Father,

Give me a heart that obeys you, Give me a heart that worships you. Give me your strength and courage to complete your task today.

To the faithful you show yourself faithful;to those with integrity you show integrity.26To the pure you show yourself pure,but to the crooked you show yourself shrewd.

Lord God my Father,

May my will be faithful to you to create actions that are pleasing. Protect me from the wicked.

 “No, I insist on buying it, for I will not present burnt offerings to the Lord my God that have cost me nothing.”

 Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or lose heart!

Then David ordered all the leaders of Israel to assist Solomon in this project. 

Now seek the Lord your God with all your heart and soul. 

Lord God my Father,

Keep my heart in proper perspective, give me strength and persistence to do your will. Help me to assemble a team to join me in doing your will. May your Glory shin freely in all I do.

The wicked conceive evil;they are pregnant with troubleand give birth to lies.15They dig a deep pit to trap others,then fall into it themselves.16The trouble they make for others backfires on them.The violence they plan falls on their own heads.17I will thank the Lord because he is just;I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.

Lord God my Father,

Protect me from evil, give me discernment for anything that is not from you and allow you do deal with evil as you see fit using me if you desire.

I am not afraid of ten thousand enemieswho surround me on every side.7Arise, O Lord!Rescue me, my God!Slap all my enemies in the face!

“If you think that’s the best plan, I’ll do it,” the king answered. 

Lord God my Father,

Remove fear and give me confidence to do your will in front of my enemies. Fight my battles for me, but place me where you want me to be for your will to be done.

When people tried to bow before him, Absalom wouldn’t let them. Instead, he took them by the hand and kissed them. 6Absalom did this with everyone who came to the king for judgment, and so he stole the hearts of all the people of Israel.

So Absalom went to Hebron. 10But while he was there, he sent secret messengers to all the tribes of Israel to stir up a rebellion against the king. 

But Ittai said to the king, “I vow by the Lord and by your own life that I will go wherever my lord the king goes, no matter what happens—whether it means life or death.”

 “If the Lord sees fit,” David said, “he will bring me back to see the Ark and the Tabernacle15:25 Hebrew and his dwelling place. again. 26But if he is through with me, then let him do what seems best to him.”

And perhaps the Lord will see that I am being wronged16:12 As in Greek and Syriac versions; Hebrew reads see my iniquity. and will bless me because of these curses today.”

 For the Lord had determined to defeat the counsel of Ahithophel, which really was the better plan, so that he could bring disaster on Absalom!

Lord God my Father,

Keep my heart close to you and protect me from deceit. Allow your plan to rest well with me and use your peace to keep me true to you.

But Amnon had a very crafty friend—his cousin Jonadab.

Please, just speak to the king about it, and he will let you marry me.”

Amnon’s love turned to hate, and he hated her even more than he had loved her. 

’ I know that you are like an angel of God in discerning good from evil. May the Lord your God be with you.”

Lord God my Father,

Give me discernment to see and use your wisdom to deal with the evil deception in the world. Help me to express your will your way.
