If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter,10no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home.11For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.
Lord God my Father,
I proclaim you as creator of all, you are my delight in life. Lord, may I delight you in my ability to allow you to have your way in my life and share your way with others as you please.

“Now listen! If you do this, you will live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you and the land you are about to enter and occupy.17“But if your heart turns away and you refuse to listen, and if you are drawn away to serve and worship other gods, 18then I warn you now that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live a long, good life in the land you are crossing the Jordan to occupy.
“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! 20You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This30:20 Or He. is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the Lord, you will live long in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”.
But they will begin to worship other gods; they will despise me and break my covenant. 21And when great disasters come down on them, this song will stand as evidence against them, for it will never be forgotten by their descendants. I know the intentions of these people, even now before they have entered the land I swore to give them.”
Lord God my Father,
Keep my heart close to your desire, protect me from the great deceiver and give me a heart that delights in you only.

Do the same if you find your neighbor’s donkey, clothing, or anything else your neighbor loses. Don’t ignore your responsibility.
In this way, you will purge this evil from among you.

“Do not worship the Lord your God in the way these pagan peoples worship their gods. 5Rather, you must seek the Lord your God at the place of worship he himself will choose from among all the tribes—the place where his name will be honored.
“Your pattern of worship will change. Today all of you are doing as you please, 9because you have not yet arrived at the place of rest, the land the Lord your God is giving you as your special possession.
Lord God my Father,
Keep me close and make me aware of my weakness. Hold me up as I begin to slip and make me obedient to your desire only. I wish to do my life as you designed it.

Yes, he humbled you by letting you go hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to you and your ancestors. He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
“But I assure you of this: If you ever forget the Lord your God and follow other gods, worshiping and bowing down to them, you will certainly be destroyed. 20Just as the Lord has destroyed other nations in your path, you also will be destroyed if you refuse to obey the Lord your God.
The Lord your God will drive these nations out ahead of you only because of their wickedness,
Lord God my Father,
Open my heart to find my compromise in your plan that I carry. Help me to follow you without distraction and to trust your plan over my desire to understand.

you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. 6And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. 7Repeat them again and again to your children.
