The Israelites sampled their provisions but did not inquire of the Lord.

So Joshua saved them from the Israelites, and they did not kill them. 27That day he made the Gibeonites woodcutters and water carriers for the assembly, to provide for the needs of the altar of the Lord at the place the Lord would choose. And that is what they are to this day.

The Lord threw them into confusion before Israel, so Joshua and the Israelites defeated them completely at Gibeon.

There has never been a day like it before or since, a day when the Lord listened to a human being. Surely the Lord was fighting for Israel!

All these kings and their lands Joshua conquered in one campaign, because the Lord, the God of Israel, fought for Israel.

Lord God my Father,

Make me aware of the deceiving ways of the world and protect me from following it. Help me to Hear you and follow only you. Give me courage to do your will without delay and expect your delivery. Help me to conquer all the evil that rest in me and become purified to your will.

So the Lord was with Joshua, and his fame spread throughout the land.

But the Israelites were unfaithful in regard to the devoted things; Achan son of Karmi, the son of Zimri, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took some of them. So the Lord’s anger burned against Israel.

Israel has sinned; they have violated my covenant, which I commanded them to keep. They have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen, they have lied, they have put them with their own possessions.

 I will not be with you anymore unless you destroy whatever among you is devoted to destruction.

Lord God my Father,

I pray you will be with me for your Glory to shine from me for your purpose. Keep me focused on your path and keep me secure in your desires and protect me from my sinful way. Make me obedient like I never have been before. Help me to destroy the selfishness that desires to live in me.

“The Lord has surely given the whole land into our hands; all the people are melting in fear because of us.”

Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.”

He did this so that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the Lord is powerful and so that you might always fear the Lord your God.”

Lord God my Father,

You have given me a path to follow which all the battles have been taken care of, help me to trust when I am unable to understand. Help me to make myself clean so your plan can thrive in front of me. Help me to believe in your power completely.

Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.

Jeshurun grew fat and kicked; filled with food, they became heavy and sleek. They abandoned the God who made them and rejected the Rock their Savior. 16They made him jealous with their foreign gods and angered him with their detestable idols.

“Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law. 47They are not just idle words for you—they are your life. By them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”

And Moses the servant of the Lord died there in Moab, 

Since then, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face, 

“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;

Lord God my Father,

Help me to allow your wisdom to fall on me and rest well with me. Keep me from rejecting any of your ways with my own but to submit totally to you. Help me to believe without doubt your Love for me and to accept it in such a way it is seen by others for your Glory. I want to hear that I did ok for your kingdom.

In Jesus name I pray,

No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.

This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Lord God my Father,

You are close, open my eyes so I may see you at all times. Protect me from looking away from you. Darkness is constantly trying to smother me, help me to fix my eyes on you so it has no place to rest on me. You go before me and clear the path, help me to trust you know what you are doing and not question you.

In Jesus name I pray,

The Lord will send on you curses, confusion and rebuke in everything you put your hand to, until you are destroyed and come to sudden ruin because of the evil you have done in forsaking him.

If you do not carefully follow all the words of this law, which are written in this book, and do not revere this glorious and awesome name—the Lord your God— 59the Lord will send fearful plagues on you and your descendants, harsh and prolonged disasters, and severe and lingering illnesses.

With your own eyes you saw those great trials, those signs and great wonders. 4But to this day the Lord has not given you a mind that understands or eyes that see or ears that hear.

When such a person hears the words of this oath and they invoke a blessing on themselves, thinking, “I will be safe, even though I persist in going my own way,” they will bring disaster on the watered land as well as the dry.

Lord God my Father,

Protect me from deceit Satan wants me to follow and keep me on your path to freedom. Cause me to ponder my thoughts and keep the ones pleasing to you and reject those that are not. I know you can do all things, and I want to join you in doing your work.

A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the Lord your God detests anyone who does this.

Whatever your lips utter you must be sure to do, because you made your vow freely to the Lord your God with your own mouth.

Lord God my Father,

Keep my heart pure under your authority and cause my desire to be for you and your ways alone. Show me where I stray and guide me home quickly. Help me to live well and represent you well.

In Jesus name I pray,

And rejoice before the Lord your God at the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name—you, your sons and daughters,

Remember that you were slaves in Egypt, and follow carefully these decrees.

Do not pervert justice or show partiality. Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the innocent.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to not forget to rejoice in all things. You are worthy of my best attitude. Keep me humble and honest and treat all as I wish to be treated.

In Jesus name I pray,

Observe therefore all the commands I am giving you today, so that you may have the strength to go in and take over the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess,

So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today—to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul— 14then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and olive oil.

There, in the presence of the Lord your God, you and your families shall eat and shall rejoice in everything you have put your hand to, because the Lord your God has blessed you.

You must not worship the Lord your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the Lord hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods.

Lord God my Father,

Protect my heart and keep me close. Open my eyes to the ways I don’t put you first and remove my desire to take my focus off of you. Bless my family and unite us under your design and open our eyes to the abundance of blessings before us.

He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. 

But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant,

Hear, Israel: You are now about to cross the Jordan to go in and dispossess nations greater and stronger than you,

But be assured today that the Lord your God is the one who goes across ahead of you like a devouring fire. He will destroy them; he will subdue them before you. 

It is not because of your righteousness or your integrity that you are going in to take possession of their land; but on account of the wickedness of these nations, the Lord your God will drive them out before you, to accomplish what he swore to your fathers,

But again the Lord listened to me. 20And the Lord was angry enough with Aaron to destroy him, but at that time I prayed for Aaron too.

Lord God my Father,

Open my eyes to see your way and give me the heart to hear your desire and protect me from evil ways.
