Jesus himself suddenly came and began walking with them. 16But God kept them from recognizing him.

“He was a prophet who did powerful miracles, and he was a mighty teacher in the eyes of God and all the people. 20But our leading priests and other religious leaders handed him over to be condemned to death, and they crucified him.

Suddenly, their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And at that moment he disappeared!

“Why are you frightened?” he asked. “Why are your hearts filled with doubt? 39Look at my hands. Look at my feet. 

“Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don’t be faithless any longer. Believe!”

 “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? As for you, follow me.” 

Lord God my Father,

Have your way with me, open my eyes when I am ready and give me a faith that needs no proof. Allow your desire to overwhelm mine so I may see as you wish me to.

“Mary!” Jesus said.She turned to him and cried out, “Rabboni!” 

Lord God my Father,

Give me a faith that will hear you call my name so I will know you as Marry did.

We deserve to die for our crimes, but this man hasn’t done anything wrong.” 42Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.”43And Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

When the Roman officer who stood facing him saw how he had died, he exclaimed, “This man truly was the Son of God!”

When the Roman officer23:47a Greek the centurion. overseeing the execution saw what had happened, he worshiped God and said, “Surely this man was innocent.

Lord God my Father,

I repent of my way and surrender to your desire. Help me to see your Truth and follow it without distraction. Draw me close and protect me.

In Jesus name I pray,

But when the leading priests and the elders made their accusations against him, Jesus remained silent.

Actually, I was born and came into the world to testify to the truth. All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true.”

So to pacify the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. He ordered Jesus flogged with a lead-tipped whip, then turned him over to the Roman soldiers to be crucified.

 “You would have no power over me at all unless it were given to you from above. So the one who handed me over to you has the greater sin.”

.“We have no king but Caesar,” the leading priests shouted back.

Lord God my Father,

Keep my heart under your influence, keep me from opening my mouth when allowing your silence is greater. Keep my thoughts from disturbing the Truth you lay on me. Help me to amplify your Love to those I come in contact with and silence the great deceiver.

In Jesus name I pray,

At that moment the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Suddenly, the Lord’s words flashed through Peter’s mind:

The leading priests picked up the coins. “It wouldn’t be right to put this money in the Temple treasury,” they said, “since it was payment for murder.”27:6 Greek since it is the price for blood.

Lord God my Father,

Keep me strong as I am tested, protect me from falling to deceit.

In Jesus name I pray,

“Abba, Father,”14:36 Abba is an Aramaic term for “father.” he cried out, “everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”

“My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”

But Jesus said, “No more of this.” And he touched the man’s ear and healed him.

 But this is your moment, the time when the power of darkness reigns.”

Lord God my Father,

Everything is possible, so I give all my struggles to you and pray for your healing power to release me from them. Give me a heart at peace with my desire to do your will above my own. Show me how to accept your healing grace and turn from my desire towards your design.

In Jesus name I pray,

The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you.

“But I will send you the Advocate15:26 Or Comforter, or Encourager, or Counselor. Greek reads Paraclete.—the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me.

“There is so much more I want to tell you, but you can’t bear it now. 13When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth.

You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.

Lord God my Father,

Keep me close and protect me from the way of the world. Guide me thru the issues of today so your Glory will be revealed. Give me Truth in my faith so I may honor you in all things.

In Jesus name I pray,

I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. 35Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. 32But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.”

For the time has come for this prophecy about me to be fulfilled: ‘He was counted among the rebels.’22:37 Isa 53:12. Yes, everything written about me by the prophets will come true.”

You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. 14Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!

This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.

Lord God my Father,

Fill my heart with your Love to the point there is no room for compromise. Give me strength to endure the testing I will go thru. Bring your peace into my heart so I may Love as you have designed it. Restore me to your original design.

“A brother will betray his brother to death, a father will betray his own child, and children will rebel against their parents and cause them to be killed. 13And everyone will hate you because you are my followers.13:13 Greek on account of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

“Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah,’ or ‘There he is,’ don’t believe it. 22For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones. 23Watch out! I have warned you about this ahead of time!

And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. 11And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. 12Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. 13But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 

Lord God my Father,

Protect me from the lies of the world, give me courage to do you will when it may put me in a bad place, give me discernment over your will and the will of the world. Keep my eyes focused on you, allow me to be one of the chosen.

Then Satan entered into Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve disciples, 

So the two disciples went into the city and found everything just as Jesus had said, and they prepared the Passover meal there.

When Judas had eaten the bread, Satan entered into him. Then Jesus told him, “Hurry and do what you’re going to do.” 

Lord God my Father,

Protect me and keep me close so I may not be distracted. Give me an obedient heart that does what you ask without hesitation. Protect me from my sinful nature.
