God blesses the one who reads the words of this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to its message and obey what it says, for the time is near.

Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. The devil will throw some of you into prison to test you. You will suffer for ten days. But if you remain faithful even when facing death, I will give you the crown of life.

“Yet there are some in the church in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes with evil. They will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. 5All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine.6 “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.

I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.

Then I began to weep bitterly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll and read it. 5But one of the twenty-four elders said to me, “Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the heir to David’s throne,5:5 Greek the root of David. See Isa 11:10. has won the victory. He is worthy to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

Each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God’s people. 

Lord God my Father,

Open my ears to hear your message and give me courage and confidence to carry it well. Keep my heart strong in your will and protect me from compromise. Cleanse me from my past so I may rest with your plan today without distraction. Discipline me as you see the need and help me to accept it well. Allow me to trust in your plan even when I don’t see your hope and allow it to cause me to grow closer to you.

In Jesus name I pray,

because the truth lives in us and will be with us forever.3Grace, mercy, and peace, which come from God the Father and from Jesus Christ—the Son of the Father—will continue to be with us who live in truth and love.

Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit.

Lord God my Father,

Allow your Truth to overwhelm me in my thoughts and spirit. Help me to only seek your Truth and protect me from the deceiver. Keep me strong in my spirit and loud with your Love.

But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. 9Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life3:9 Greek because his seed. is in them.

We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters.

Dear friends, if we don’t feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence. 22And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him.

No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.

God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. 17And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.

We know that God’s children do not make a practice of sinning, for God’s Son holds them securely, and the evil one cannot touch them. 19We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one.

And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God.5:20 Greek the one who is true. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.

Lord God my Father,

Bring clarity to my desire, the desire you place on me and allow your spirit to be my guide. Allow the Love if Jesus to have it’s way in me so I may walk well. Remove any thought that creates guilt and free me from those desires. Keep me from sin and convict me when I stray. Your power in me is my strength.

In Jesus name I pray,

 These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.

In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, 6and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, 7and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.

Lord God my Father,

Open my heart to your promises so I may be guided well. Surround me with your people and desire. Give a desire to only follow you and a discernment to avoid deceit.

In Jesus name I pray,

So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord. And don’t be ashamed of me, either, even though I’m in prison for him. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the Good News. 9For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.

If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is.

Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. 

Lord God my Father,

Allow my confidence in you to grow and have courage so I may live and draw others out of darkness. May your light be so obvious that I don’t need to speak. Your faithfulness is enough, allow it to speak for itself. Protect me from my youthful desires.

 Although Abel is long dead, he still speaks to us by his example of faith.

Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.

It was by faith that Moses’ parents hid him for three months when he was born. They saw that God had given them an unusual child, and they were not afraid to disobey the king’s command.

How much more do I need to say? It would take too long to recount the stories of the faith of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and all the prophets. 33By faith these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions, 34quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword.

All these people earned a good reputation because of their faith, yet none of them received all that God had promised. 40For God had something better in mind for us, so that they would not reach perfection without us.

“The Lord is my helper,so I will have no fear.What can mere people do to me?”

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. 9So do not be attracted by strange, new ideas. Your strength comes from God’s grace, not from rules about food, which don’t help those who follow them.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to be one who is remembered for my Love of you by living confident in my faith. Guide me in how to carry you and follow you in all my moments. Allow others to remember me by my surrender to you. Help me to understand how to use your power in my daily affairs.

Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds9:14 Greek from dead works. so that we can worship the living God.

So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! 36Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.

But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved.

Lord God my Father,

Bring me close to your desire, open my heart to experience your delight. Use me to reach those who don’t know you.

Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.

So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it.

Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.

“Today when you hear his voice,8don’t harden your hearts

So we see that because of their unbelief they were not able to enter his rest.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to understand how to use the power available to me to overcome my sin nature. Bring me closer to your truth and to accept the sacrifice made for me. Keep my heart open to your plan even when I don’t understand.

God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and his Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ.

May God give you more and more grace and peace.

Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech. 

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.

Lord God my Father,

You know me better than I do, help me to understand my course. Allow your Peace to be my guide and protect me from deceit. Allow your gift in me to have it’s way with courage.

Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted.

Lord God my Father,

Keep me close so I may see when I stray. Help me to keep my mind focused on your desire above my own.
