Do not be afraid, Jacob my servant, for I am with you,” declares the Lord. “Though I completely destroy all the nations among which I scatter you, I will not completely destroy you. I will discipline you but only in due measure; I will not let you go entirely unpunished.”

On all the roofs in Moab and in the public squares there is nothing but mourning, for I have broken Moab like a jar that no one wants,” declares the Lord.

Lord God my Father,

Keep fear at bay for me and give me the confidence to carry your will as you desire. Discipline me as you see fit and shape me into your design and away from my worldly desires. I deserve your wrath and am willing to suffer it for it gives me the strength and wisdom I need to get unstuck in my ways. Break me so I may be restored to your design.

Whether it is favorable or unfavorable, we will obey the Lord our God, to whom we are sending you, so that it will go well with us, for we will obey the Lord our God.”

Do not be afraid of him, declares the Lord, for I am with you and will save you and deliver you from his hands.

that you made a fatal mistake when you sent me to the Lord your God and said, ‘Pray to the Lord our God for us; tell us everything he says and we will do it.’ 21I have told you today, but you still have not obeyed the Lord your God in all he sent me to tell you. 

So Johanan son of Kareah and all the army officers and all the people disobeyed the Lord’s command to stay in the land of Judah.

So they entered Egypt in disobedience to the Lord and went as far as Tahpanhes.

You saw the great disaster I brought on Jerusalem and on all the towns of Judah. Today they lie deserted and in ruins 3because of the evil they have done.

When the Lord could no longer endure your wicked actions and the detestable things you did, your land became a curse and a desolate waste without inhabitants, as it is today. 

‘I swear by my great name,’ says the Lord, ‘that no one from Judah living anywhere in Egypt will ever again invoke my name or swear, “As surely as the Sovereign Lord lives.” 27For I am watching over them for harm, not for good; the Jews in Egypt will perish by sword and famine until they are all destroyed. 

Lord God my Father,

Keep me from breaking promises I make to you, protect my thoughts and keep me humble. Give me your strength and focus to do your will without fear. I want to obey you completely but struggle with my sin nature which makes me disobedient. Help me to give you access to my inner struggles so they may be removed.

You crushed the leader of the land of wickedness, you stripped him from head to foot. 14With his own spear you pierced his head when his warriors stormed out to scatter us,

Yet I will wait patiently for the day of calamity to come on the nation invading us.

yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.

19The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights.

Lord God my Father,

You are in charge and your will is set. I struggle to wait patiently for your deliverance from the ciaos, struggling to allow your Peace to overwhelm my desire to think. I see you working today and look forward to the restoration before us. Help me to Love louder than the hate and carry your Peace in such a way that it is noticed. Thank you for loving me in my current sinful nature and showing me a way out of it. May all judgment be yours and not mine, I am not righteous enough to judge. Oh how I look forward to your Light being accepted as the only light that heals our differences.

The land enjoyed its sabbath rests; all the time of its desolation it rested, until the seventy years were completed in fulfillment of the word of the Lord spoken by Jeremiah.

Lord God my Father,

I repent of my sinful nature and I pray to have your Power and Peace rest on me so I may be restored to your origional design. Allow me to rest in your presence so I may find your path and keep me from distraction as I follow it.

“They will not hand you over,” Jeremiah replied. “Obey the Lord by doing what I tell you. Then it will go well with you, and your life will be spared. 

Help us, God our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and forgive our sins for your name’s sake.

Lord God my Father,

Give me a heart that knows your way and follows it. Forgive me of my past and make the path I follow pleasing to you.

But I have spoken to you again and again, yet you have not obeyed me. 15Again and again I sent all my servants the prophets to you. They said, “Each of you must turn from your wicked ways and reform your actions; do not follow other gods to serve them.

I spoke to them, but they did not listen; I called to them, but they did not answer.’ ”

They said to him, “Sit down, please, and read it to us.”

So Baruch read it to them. 16When they heard all these words, they looked at each other in fear and said to Baruch, “We must report all these words to the king.”

The king and all his attendants who heard all these words showed no fear, nor did they tear their clothes. 

 “Please pray to the Lord our God for us.”

Lord God my Father,

Thank you for making your way known, open my heart so I may hear and own your heart. Show me how to turn away from my way filled with compromise and rest firmly in your Truth. Help me to allow your words to be my words without my opinion or emotions changing them. I repent and wish only to please you alone.

Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah: 27“I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?

“This is what the Lord says: As I have brought all this great calamity on this people, so I will give them all the prosperity I have promised them.

I will slay in my anger and wrath. I will hide my face from this city because of all its wickedness.

6“ ‘Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security. 

I will cleanse them from all the sin they have committed against me and will forgive all their sins of rebellion against me. 9Then this city will bring me renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it.’

“Have you not noticed that these people are saying, ‘The Lord has rejected the two kingdoms he chose’? So they despise my people and no longer regard them as a nation. 

Lord God my Father,

You are greater than creation, you can handle all my battles. The struggles reveal my weakness, help me to learn how to trust in your plan and gain wisdom in my thoughts. Keep me from taking on my struggles alone and rely on your design, your strength and not my own understanding. Cleanse me from my desire to control or understand the sin nature within and around me. Keep me from my sin and rebellion and place a Peace in me that represents you only without fear or deception getting involved. Allow your light to be my only guide. Thank you for your nature in my life.

“ ‘Cries of fear are heard— terror, not peace. 6Ask and see: Can a man bear children? Then why do I see every strong man with his hands on his stomach like a woman in labor,

The fierce anger of the Lord will not turn back until he fully accomplishes the purposes of his heart. In days to come you will understand this.

No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the Lord. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”

Lord God my Father,

Allow your Peace to rest on me restore my focus on you. Keep me from trying to understand your way and just allow your way to be my guide. Only your anger is just, I tend to be unjust in my judgment of others. I want to know and trust you in this day of remembering past darkness beyond understand, and the fresh darkness of yesterday. I pray we are at that “Turning Point” where we can unite under your Truth and Peace. Only with you as our common ground can we become one family. Time has shown us yet again as we stray away from you, darkness gains power. Your light is the one and only answer. Thank you for the Old Testament struggles that expose this lesson, may we learn from the past and move forward and into your blessing.

Perhaps they will listen and each will turn from their evil ways. Then I will relent and not inflict on them the disaster I was planning because of the evil they have done.

Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, even though I did not send him, and has persuaded you to trust in lies, 32this is what the Lord says: I will surely punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants. He will have no one left among this people, nor will he see the good things I will do for my people, declares the Lord, because he has preached rebellion against me.’ ”

Lord God my Father,

Open my heart so your Truth can lead me out of the darkness I am tempted by. Protect me from the lies of this world and purify me to live your will above my own. Use me for your kingdom purpose is this place.

Although you claim, ‘This is a message from the Lord,’ this is what the Lord says: You used the words, ‘This is a message from the Lord,’ even though I told you that you must not claim, ‘This is a message from the Lord.’ 

Then the Lord asked me, “What do you see, Jeremiah?”

Lord God my Father,

Help me to know you and honor you with all my thoughts, words and actions. Show me how to leave my ways behind and only move forward in your desires. I am tired of holding your way back and rotting in my way. Help me to truly see what is before me.
