Take your brother also and go back to the man at once. 14And may God Almighty grant you mercy before the man so that he will let your other brother and Benjamin come back with you. As for me, if I am bereaved, I am bereaved.”

They thought, “We were brought here because of the silver that was put back into our sacks the first time. He wants to attack us and overpower us and seize us as slaves and take our donkeys.”

“So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God. He made me father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt.

Then he sent his brothers away, and as they were leaving he said to them, “Don’t quarrel on the way!”

They told him, “Joseph is still alive! In fact, he is ruler of all Egypt.” Jacob was stunned; he did not believe them. 

Lord God my Father,

Keep me in your protection and show me how to be still so I may follow only your desire. Help me to follow your plan, even when I don’t understand. Help me to see your big picture and not limit your plan for me, keep me from questioning you.

In Jesus name I pray,

 “It is because God has made me forget all my trouble and all my father’s household.”

 “It is because God has made me fruitful in the land of my suffering.”

Joseph is no more and Simeon is no more, and now you want to take Benjamin. Everything is against me!”

Lord God my Father,

Help me to get past my past so I may live in all the present delight you place before me. Make me fruitful in all I do and remove my lazy desires to I may honor you in all things. Help me to move forward without the past weighing me down.

In Jesus name I pray,

But while Joseph was there in the prison, 21the Lord was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden. 22So the warden put Joseph in charge of all those held in the prison, and he was made responsible for all that was done there. 

The chief cupbearer, however, did not remember Joseph; he forgot him.

Lord God my Father,

You are always with me, help me to live in your will so I may have your favor in all I do. Help me to keep favor first in my thoughts.

So Jacob said to his household and to all who were with him, “Get rid of the foreign gods you have with you, and purify yourselves and change your clothes. 

When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him.

His brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the matter in mind.

“What will we gain if we kill our brother and cover up his blood? 27Come, let’s sell him to the Ishmaelites and not lay our hands on him; after all, he is our brother, our own flesh and blood.” His brothers agreed.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to gather the false gods I tend to worship before you and not allow distraction in your desires designed for me. Keep me from jealousy and greed but keep me pondering your will.

In Jesus name I pray,

In great fear and distress Jacob divided the people who were with him into two groups,

Then Jacob prayed, “O God of my father Abraham, God of my father Isaac, Lord, you who said to me, ‘Go back to your country and your relatives, and I will make you prosper,’ 10I am unworthy of all the kindness and faithfulness you have shown your servant. 

But you have said, ‘I will surely make you prosper and will make your descendants like the sand of the sea, which cannot be counted.’ ”

Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”

But they replied, “Should he have treated our sister like a prostitute?”

Lord God my Father,

Give me a proper fear that rest in your will, bless my actions moving forward and separate me from the past actions that did not bring you glory. Cause me to prosper in my efforts to release your Glory in all I do and bless my family beyond any expectations. Keep me from vengeance for those who offend me. Let me allow your plan to play out.

Jacob said to him, “You know how I have worked for you and how your livestock has fared under my care. 30The little you had before I came has increased greatly, and the Lord has blessed you wherever I have been. But now, when may I do something for my own household?”

“How have I wronged you that you hunt me down?

But God has seen my hardship and the toil of my hands, and last night he rebuked you.”

Lord God my Father,

Keep my heart strong in my desire to serve you with all I am. Bless my efforts so your Glory is revealed in my actions. Cause me to be at Peace with your plan and trust in your outcome.

In Jesus name I pray,

May those who curse you be cursed and those who bless you be blessed.”

 I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”

Lord God my Father,

Show me how to live in your will, bless all I do that is for your glory and keep me from my own selfish way. Show me your desire and stay with me to it’s completion.

In Jesus name I pray,

Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bless you and will increase the number of your descendants for the sake of my servant Abraham.”

Lord God my Father,

Keep me in your Truth and away from fear. Give me a calm confidence that represents you well.

In Jesus name I pray,

Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son.So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”

Laban and Bethuel answered, “This is from the Lord; we can say nothing to you one way or the other. 51Here is Rebekah; take her and go, and let her become the wife of your master’s son, as the Lord has directed.”

Lord God my Father,

Give me the faith that has no doubt, help me to follow your plan so I may see your outcome. Everything is from you, protect me from the deceiver.

In Jesus name I pray,

But he insisted so strongly that they did go with him and entered his house.

The outcry to the Lord against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it.”

“Flee for your lives! Don’t look back, and don’t stop anywhere in the plain! Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away!”

But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.

So when God destroyed the cities of the plain, he remembered Abraham, and he brought Lot out of the catastrophe that overthrew the cities where Lot had lived.

Then God said to him in the dream, “Yes, I know you did this with a clear conscience, and so I have kept you from sinning against me. That is why I did not let you touch her.

 “What is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there. 18Lift the boy up and take him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation.”

19Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. 

Lord God my Father,

Give me direction and courage to do your will in spite of resistance. Cause me to know evil before it reaches my thoughts and resist it. Help me to flee from my compromised way and not look back. Give me clear conscience and integrity, keep me from fear and make my efforts great for your glory.
