Single desire

Because the hand of the Lord my God was on me, I took courage and gathered leaders from Israel to go up with me.

So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer.

Rise up; this matter is in your hands. We will support you, so take courage and do it.”

Now honor the Lord, the God of your ancestors, and do his will. Separate yourselves from the peoples around you and from your foreign wives.”

12The whole assembly responded with a loud voice: “You are right! We must do as you say.

Lord God my Father,

Rest on me and give me inspiration and courage to carry you well. Give me a focus on you that gives me strength over my weakness. Help me to surround myself with Godly men who will lift me and make me accountable. Give me a single desire to honor you and do your will.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

United in faith

And many people of other nationalities became Jews because fear of the Jews had seized them.

Mordecai the Jew was second in rank to King Xerxes, preeminent among the Jews, and held in high esteem by his many fellow Jews, because he worked for the good of his people and spoke up for the welfare of all the Jews.

Lord God my Father,

Cause us, your people, the people of America to come together under your authority and unite in worship of you. Make us bold with our faith and delight of your presence so others who do not know you may seek you. Bless our actions and protect our thoughts.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Courage

When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”

Lord God my Father,

Give me boldness to do your will even when it infringes on the ways of the world.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Truth restored

“This is the curse that is going out over the whole land; for according to what it says on one side, every thief will be banished, and according to what it says on the other, everyone who swears falsely will be banished.

Those who are far away will come and help to build the temple of the Lord, and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you. This will happen if you diligently obey the Lord your God.”

These are the things you are to do: Speak the truth to each other, and render true and sound judgment in your courts; 17do not plot evil against each other, and do not love to swear falsely. I hate all this,” declares the Lord.

Lord God my Father,

Protect your people and drive out the darkness woven into this country. Restore the heart of the people to your design and separate evil from good. Allow Truth to be the guide that moves us forward under your authority.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

His purpose

“Then they repented and said, ‘The Lord Almighty has done to us what our ways and practices deserve, just as he determined to do.’ ”

Then he said to Joshua, “See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put fine garments on you.”

“This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘If you will walk in obedience to me and keep my requirements, then you will govern my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you a place among these standing here.

“Who dares despise the day of small things, since the seven eyes of the Lord that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone in the hand of Zerubbabel?”

Lord God my Father,

Cause me to do your will so I may share you well. I repent of my youthful ways and want to represent you in all my actions and words. Help me to find obedience in you and delight in all things. Use me this day.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Able and willing.

Then Haggai, the Lord’s messenger, gave this message of the Lord to the people: “I am with you,” declares the Lord. 14So the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of the whole remnant of the people. They came and began to work on the house of the Lord Almighty, their God, 15on the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month.

But now be strong, Zerubbabel,’ declares the Lord. ‘Be strong, Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land,’ declares the Lord, ‘and work. For I am with you,’ declares the Lord Almighty. 5‘This is what I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt. And my Spirit remains among you. Do not fear.’

Lord God my Father,

Be with me and keep me focused on your will, not my own feeble desires. Use me to restore your kingdom as you desire and share your amazing Glory freely, without delay. Make me strong and able to do your will well.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Time

“I am overcome with anguish because of the vision, my lord, and I feel very weak. 17How can I, your servant, talk with you, my lord? My strength is gone and I can hardly breathe.”

“As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.”

Lord God my Father,

Protect my heart form the darkness around me and use me to bring light to those who will listen for you. Lord God, I am eager to rest with you but willing to do your work until that time comes.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Delightfully new

Just as it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come on us, yet we have not sought the favor of the Lord our God by turning from our sins and giving attention to your truth. 14The Lord did not hesitate to bring the disaster on us, for the Lord our God is righteous in everything he does; yet we have not obeyed him.

Lord God my Father,

Turn our hearts away from our dark desires, give us victory over our sin nature and restore us to your perfect design. Give us discernment over the desire of darkness and it’s deceit that is constant. Allow us to know your Peace and follow it without hesitation.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Forever Love

At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever.

His dominion is an eternal dominion;

his kingdom endures from generation to generation.

At the same time that my sanity was restored, my honor and splendor were returned to me for the glory of my kingdom. My advisers and nobles sought me out, and I was restored to my throne and became even greater than before. 37Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble.

So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions’ den. The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you!”

“I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel.

“For he is the living God

and he endures forever;

his kingdom will not be destroyed,

his dominion will never end.

27He rescues and he saves;

he performs signs and wonders

in the heavens and on the earth.

He has rescued Daniel

from the power of the lions.”

28So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

Lord God my Father,

Restore me to sanity in this crazy time. Give me your Peace so I may carry it well for you. Help me to reach the lost for you and bring your Peace to those around me and give me an integrity that releases your power to inspire restoration to your way. Though I am temporary, your Love endures forever. Make my legacy one that reflects your Love forever.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen
