“This man Jesus is not from God, for he is working on the Sabbath.”

Why do I doubt, why do I struggle with control, why do I fight so hard to not surrender to the peace He has for me.

Lord, God,
I am weary and broken, I am too stupid to be called a follower and I resist you. Lord I give up, I want to be your son and listen to you as my father. Correct me and put me on the right path and allow me to live in your presence and peace.

The world can’t hate you, but it does hate me because I accuse it of doing evil.

Why can’t you understand what I am saying? It’s because you can’t even hear me!

Lord God,
Open my heart so I may see you and obey you. Lord God, I am a sinner unworthy of knowing you, Lord purify my heart and place your truth around me and protect me from the desire of Satan to destroy my faith and may I delight in serving you and not me.

Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.

because I know you don’t have God’s love within you.

Lord God,
Reveal in me how to release the grip of this world on me and show me your spirit and help me to allow you to have your way in this selfish person. Help me to surrender to your desire and protect me from my own evil ways, the areas I still hold onto that block your path from being revealed to me. Help me to surrender to your love over my own.

With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the Good News.

Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace.

Lord God,
Give me your strength to stand up for your truth in this world, Protect me and bring me comfort in my suffering for you. Give me direction to follow you with everything I am and surrender my will to you. Lord God, protect me from my earthly desires may I stay focused on you.

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.

Lord God,
May I put my faith in your plan for me, Lord help me to see from your purpose not my own. May I please you with my faith and may it stay focused on you. Lord God, help me to accept your discipline and be shaped by it to your image.

let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.

Lord God,
Thank you for your personal desire to save me. Lord, help me to surrender my will to follow you without delay, may I be your hands and voice today, not mine.

As he reasoned with them about righteousness and self-control and the coming day of judgment, Felix became frightened.

Yes, I am sending you to the Gentiles 18to open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God.

Lord God,
May your truth bring me peace, not fear. May I be bold for your truth in my life and the world around me. May I do your will and further your message. May the eyes of those around me be opened to your truth and may we your people turn away from the desires of this world.

Lord God,
Give me a boldness to speak your truth to others in this world. Lord God help me to find clarity in this world of confusion and witness to your way to salvation.
