Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.

“If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” 16Otherwise you are boasting about your own pretentious plans, and all such boasting is evil.
17Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.

Lord God,
Protect my thoughts, change my nature, help me to release my desire in this world and place it on you alone. Lord God, I am ready to do it your way, I have proved my way is filled with disaster and compromise. I am grateful for your word and ready to Hear you.

But while in deep distress, Manasseh sought the lord his God and sincerely humbled himself before the God of his ancestors. 13And when he prayed, the lord listened to him and was moved by his request. So the lord brought Manasseh back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh finally realized that the lord alone is God!

Lord God,
I have sinned, I have put other things before you in my life and I pray for our forgiveness, Lord God, grant me the wisdom and direction to cleanse my thoughts and the property you have allowed me to use while I am here on this earth. Lord God Grant me the focus in my thoughts to only see from your perspective and make simple work of doing your will.

2Even during this time of trouble, King Ahaz continued to reject the lord. 23He offered sacrifices to the gods of Damascus who had defeated him, for he said, “Since these gods helped the kings of Aram, they will help me, too, if I sacrifice to them.” But instead, they led to his ruin and the ruin of all Judah.

So the Temple of the lord was restored to service.

Lord God, My Father,
I have sinned against you in my care of your temple, I have allowed power other than you to rule in my life, greed, selfishness, arrogance, and vast many things of this world to come between a truly surrendered and humble relationship with you the father. Lord God, I surrender this to your care, Lord I pray for your forgiveness and give this all over for your care. Lord God, I release my desire to you and pray for a cleansing of this temple and a restoration of it to your glory. For on my won I am nothing and I seek your purpose for this life to serve you.

But when he had become powerful, he also became proud, which led to his downfall.

King Jotham became powerful because he was careful to live in obedience to the lord his God.

Lord God,
you alone hold all things good. Lord God may I live under your authority alone. Father may I obey your desire and make it my own. May I delight in following you.

This is what God says: Why do you disobey the lord’s commands and keep yourselves from prospering? You have abandoned the lord, and now he has abandoned you!”

The way we obey and honor the Lord then turn on him continues to amaze me.

Lord God, May I earnestly seek you and never let my guard down ot be in a continual state of hunger for you. Lord God, It is the quiet place in my spirit that seeks to be your servant, Allow this quiet desire to be in charge of my life.

Believe in the lord your God, and you will be able to stand firm. Believe in his prophets, and you will succeed.”

During his reign, however, he failed to remove all the pagan shrines, and the people never fully committed themselves to follow the God of their ancestors.

Lord God, My father.
Be with me this day so I may walk with you and protect my thoughts and actions so I may stay on your path this day. Give me power over the challenges today and keep my thoughts focused on you so I may shine in your victory over my enemies. May it b for your glory I live.

The lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you.

The eyes of the lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.

Lord God, May I be in a constant spirit of seeking you this day and may I have victory over my enemy this day and serve you fully. Protect me from thoughts that separate me from your will.

But when Rehoboam was firmly established and strong, he abandoned the Law of the lord, and all Israel followed him in this sin.

Then Asa cried out to the lord his God, “O lord, no one but you can help the powerless against the mighty! Help us, O lord our God, for we trust in you alone.

Lord God, I have sinned against you, I have allowed other things to be above you in my heart. I cry out to you and beg forgiveness from you and place you first over all things in my life. Please hear me cry out to you and answer my prayers and protect me from my enemy.

Praise the lord your God, who delights in you and has placed you on the throne as king to rule for him.

Lord God,
Make me your servant, Use me for your purpose and may I delight you with my all.

“He is good!
His faithful love endures forever!”

At times I might shut up the heavens so that no rain falls, or command grasshoppers to devour your crops, or send plagues among you. 14Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

Lord God you are good, Your love endures forever! Lord God, I have sinned, I have brought shame to myself in my thoughts and my actions. I pray Lord God for your forgiveness and for your grace to heal me. May I follow you wholeheartedly and bring glory and honor to you thru my actions and thoughts. Lord God, I surrender my will to you.
