Love the lord your God, walk in all his ways, obey his commands, hold firmly to him, and serve him with all your heart and all your soul.”
But as for me and my family, we will serve the lord.”
“All right then,” Joshua said, “destroy the idols among you, and turn your hearts to the lord, the God of Israel.”

All I want to do is walk in His ways and serve the lord, so why do I hold onto idols in my life so tight. Idols of selfish, anger, resentment ect.

Lord God,
Give me power over the things I have allowed in my life to separate me from your way. Put people in my path to hold me accountable and open my heart to see the lies I believe in so I may destroy them and live in your desire for me.

But all the Canaanites in the lowlands have iron chariots, both those in Beth-shan and its surrounding settlements and those in the valley of Jezreel. They are too strong for us.”
And you will drive out the Canaanites from the valleys, too, even though they are strong and have iron chariots.”

But, The most used tactic used against the power of God in my life.

Lord God,
May I have faith to drive out all the but’s in my life and live by the power of God only.

“Get up! Command the people to purify themselves in preparation for tomorrow. For this is what the lord, the God of Israel, says: Hidden among you, O Israel, are things set apart for the lord. You will never defeat your enemies until you remove these things from among you.

If I truly want to destroy the enemy that lives within me, I must commit to a process that leads to spiritual purity and bring the issues out to defeat them. The Lord has the power to prevail, not me.

Oh Lord God,
Thank you for your read and insight, may I surrender my desire and understanding to your will. Reveal in my time with you a plan to completely destroy the enemy within and allow me to reflect your Glory in all.

For the lord your God dried up the river right before your eyes, and he kept it dry until you were all across, just as he did at the Red Sea when he dried it up until we had all crossed over. 24He did this so all the nations of the earth might know that the lord’s hand is powerful, and so you might fear the lord your God forever.”

The Lord does miracles so show his power to us. I only see his power when I seek to see it. So much goes on I am not willing to see. Courage and strength are qualities I need to allow the Lord to build in me so I may serve him with power and confidence.

Now Joshua son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him.
With mighty power, Moses performed terrifying acts in the sight of all Israel.

May I be full of wisdom from the Lord. May I surround myself with Godly people.

Lord God, I thank you for your word and the instructions you provide. May I truly understand the freedom and Joy that comes from surrendering to your way.

If you do not serve the lord your God with joy and enthusiasm for the abundant benefits you have received,
you will serve your enemies whom the lord will send against you.

There you will offer to sell yourselves to your enemies as slaves, but no one will buy you.”
“Therefore, obey the terms of this covenant so that you will prosper in everything you do.
“The lord our God has secrets known to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions.

I struggle with wholehearted surrender. I think the answer is to joyfully serve the lord. Release my attitude and heart to Him and totally live in His light, then I think wholehearted will become my nature.

Lord God, Thank you for your word, help me to surrender to “see” you in these words and surrender to your way and allow it to become my way. Thank you for opening my eyes, now remove the scales that still block my vision of you.

However, it is not a sin to refrain from making a vow. 23But once you have voluntarily made a vow, be careful to fulfill your promise to the lord your God.

A vow is sacred and must be followed. I need to build my faith to the point that I can enter into a vow to surrender and follow the purpose God has put in me.

Lord God,
Help me to surrender my sin nature and identify areas of my life I need to surrender to you. Help me to stay on the path that leads to your desire for me.

1“When you go out to fight your enemies and you face horses and chariots and an army greater than your own, do not be afraid. The lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, is with you!
8“Then the officers will also say, ‘Is anyone here afraid or worried? If you are, you may go home before you frighten anyone else.

God has, is and will perform miracles. The faith that destroys fear and worries I refuse to completely destroy with my faith in God is all that holds me back form complete victory.

Lord God,
I come to you completely exhausted from my lack of faith that blocks you from delivering me from my enemies. My enemies of sinful habits and attitudes. Please help me identify the enemy within and surrender totally to your will. Allow my faith to become a fortress to protect me.

“But be careful. Don’t let your heart be deceived so that you turn away from the lord and serve and worship other gods.
“So commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these words of mine.
Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.

I need to make the presence of the Lord louder than the worlds presence.

Lord God, May I amplify your presence in my life to overtake the world around me. May you be first in my thoughts and last each day.

Beware that in your plenty you do not forget the lord your God and disobey his commands, regulations, and decrees
Do not forget that he led you through the great and terrifying wilderness with its poisonous snakes and scorpions, where it was so hot and dry.
Remember the lord your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful,
don’t say in your hearts, ‘The lord has given us this land because we are such good people!’
The lord your God will drive these nations out ahead of you only because of their wickedness,
But you rebelled against the command of the lord your God and refused to put your trust in him or obey him. 24Yes, you have been rebelling against the lord as long as I have known you.

There is a fine line in our hearts between confidence and arrogance. It is so easy to take credit for the blessings the Lord has given me and not give thanks as I should. God doesn’t bless me because I am so good or seek him at times, He blesses me because he love’s me, that’s all.

Lord God,
Help me to live as the person you designed me to be and follow the path you created me to follow. Allow my desire to come from you and live in harmony with you in all things.
