“You stubborn people! You are heathen at heart and deaf to the truth. Must you forever resist the Holy Spirit?
“Do you understand what you are reading?”
31The man replied, “How can I, unless someone instructs me?”
Lord God,
Soften my heart from the ways of this place and allow me ot understand you. Instruct me as to your way and desire and give me power over my earthly ways so I may be obedient to you.

The apostles left the high council rejoicing that God had counted them worthy to suffer disgrace for the name of Jesus.
Lord God,
Bless me with a bold faith and obedience to you. Allow me to stand with you and rejoice your name endlessly.

We rely on what Christ Jesus has done for us. We put no confidence in human effort,
Now all glory to God our Father forever and ever! Amen.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
Lord God,
May I surrender my all, everything to you. May I live to please you not myself and bring you glory in all I do. I need you in charge for this to happen. Help me to understand what it means to surrender.

Lord God,
I am lame in my faith, I am a cripple and cannot walk on my own. Lord God heal me from my sinful way and present me to your presence. Grant me strength in my faith to make it whole and may I delight you in all I do.
But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News.
Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.
But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language.
Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you.
Lord God,
Be with me and help me to be in you to the point that this world has no effect on me, may I be under your authority for all actions and thoughts I have. May I posses the heart of Jesus.
2Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.
throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. 23Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.
Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. 32Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
As slaves of Christ, do the will of God with all your heart. 7Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.
For if these things are done when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?”
Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.
So they worshiped him and then returned to Jerusalem filled with great joy.
Lord God,
May I believe wholehearted, Lord God help me to a faith where you will allow my eyes to be open to see your glory in all things. Protect me from distractions of this world.

‘Yes,’ the king replied, ‘and to those who use well what they are given, even more will be given. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.
we know that you speak and teach what is right and are not influenced by what others think.
Lord God,
Give me power over the worldly possessions so I may surrender them to your glory. Do not allow my flawed desires to rule over me, help me to surrender my excuses and justifications to you.
Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive.”
I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!’”
Lord God,
Reveal in me the areas I am unwilling to forgive. Lord, give me your heart and understanding. I am unable to live in harmony with others on my won.

“When you are invited to a wedding feast, don’t sit in the seat of honor. What if someone who is more distinguished than you has also been invited? 9The host will come and say, ‘Give this person your seat.’ Then you will be embarrassed, and you will have to take whatever seat is left at the foot of the table!
And if you do not carry your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple.
So you cannot become my disciple without giving up everything you own.
And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven?
“But Abraham said, ‘If they won’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they won’t be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’”
Lord God,
I struggle so much to have a humble heart, Lord God, I accept the hardship I create by not surrendering all to you. Lord God, take from me my will and allow me to live in your understanding with your power driving my actions. I surrender my life, all of it to your care.
