Your wisdom was corrupted
by your love of splendor.

Lord God,
Protect me from the temptations of this world so nothing can separate me from you glory and your plan for me.

your voice will suddenly return so you can talk to him, and you will be a symbol for these people. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”

Lord God,
May my eyes be open to your truth again this day, protect me from the temptations in my path. Allow me to be a symbol to the world of your power and truth in charge of my life this day.

“I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land, but I found no one.

Lord God,
Why do I not believe you will punish me for my sin. I allow my thoughts and actions to insult you and my self. Lord God, I need you to be the fire that purifies me. Burn away my sinful nature and leave only a desire to bring you glory in all things.

They wouldn’t obey my regulations even though obedience would have given them life. They also violated my Sabbath days.

You say, ‘We want to be like the nations all around us, who serve idols of wood and stone.

Lord God,
Place in my heart and obsession to only follow you. Place in me a strength to ignore my way that separates me from you. Protect me from the ways of this world.

Put all your rebellion behind you, and find yourselves a new heart and a new spirit.

Lord God,
I surrender, I surrender from my past and seek to replace my heart with yours. I seek to comply with your plan and not run from it.

“But you thought your fame and beauty were your own.

I who makes the green tree wither and gives the dead tree new life. I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will do what I said!”

Lord God, my Father,
You are my purpose, you are my desire. Take from me my arrogance and replace it with your purpose. You created me with a destination in mind and I have struggled with you to do it my way. I pray o Lord that I can surrender completely to your will, bring life as you created it to these old bones, restore me to your design.

put a mark on the foreheads of all who weep and sigh because of the detestable sins being committed in their city.”

‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: No more delay! I will now do everything I have threatened. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!’”

Lord God,
Your anger is just, we are a sinful people. I wish to be worthy of your mark, the mark that protects me from your wrath. Place in me your will and power to live it. May I be a light to all who I meet.

“I will shower you with the deadly arrows of famine to destroy you. The famine will become more and more severe until every crumb of food is gone.

Then when they are exiled among the nations, they will remember me. They will recognize how hurt I am by their unfaithful hearts and lustful eyes that long for their idols. Then at last they will hate themselves for all their detestable sins.

Lord God,
Show me mercy, forgive me of my sinful nature, give me your power to defeat it. I am weak and unable to do it on my own. Bring me into your presence and bring your peace on my heart so it may only seek you.

Lord God,
May I be purified by your Holy Spirit, May I make decisions based on your ways only. Protect me from evil desires that separate me from you.
