May I live for the Lord

the lord, have called you to demonstrate my righteousness.
I will take you by the hand and guard you,
20You see and recognize what is right
but refuse to act on it.
“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.
I have called you by name; you are mine.
You have not brought me fragrant calamus
or pleased me with the fat from sacrifices.
Instead, you have burdened me with your sins
and wearied me with your faults.

May I not be a burden to the Lord, May I live my life as a living sacrifice.
In Jesus name,
amen

Arrogance of Satan and his power in this world.

What god of any nation has ever been able to save its people from my power? So what makes you think that the lord can rescue Jerusalem from me?”
Do not be disturbed by this blasphemous speech against me from the Assyrian king’s messengers. 7Listen! I myself will move against him,
Don’t let your God, in whom you trust, deceive you with promises that Jerusalem will not be captured by the king of Assyria. 11You know perfectly well what the kings of Assyria have done wherever they have gone. They have completely destroyed everyone who stood in their way! Why should you be any different?
After Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers and read it, he went up to the lord’s Temple and spread it out before the lord. 15And Hezekiah prayed
Now, O lord our God, rescue us from his power; then all the kingdoms of the earth will know that you alone, O lord, are God.”
6Lord, your discipline is good,
for it leads to life and health.
You restore my health
and allow me to live!
17Yes, this anguish was good for me,
for you have rescued me from death
and forgiven all my sins.
“They saw everything,” Hezekiah replied. “I showed them everything I own—all my royal treasuries.”

Satan can offer a convincing argument and fill me with doubt. I pray for the Lord to discipline me, soften my heart so I will grow from His discipline and spread before him on the floor my struggles and surrender them, allow God to take them from me.

Lord God,
Protect me from the lies satan puts before me. Allow me to ponder in your will and surrender the compromise in my spirit to you. Fill me with your will,
In Jesus name,
Amen

To focus on His Glory, not my efforts.

Though you are such wicked rebels, my people, come and return to the lord. 7I know the glorious day will come when each of you will throw away the gold idols and silver images your sinful hands have made.

To know the glorious day will come where I only worship the lord, no sin, no temptation too great, no more compromise, That is what I live for.
Lord God,
May I surrender my efforts to you, my efforts to fix my flawed way and turn it over to you.

In Jesus name,
Amen

My purpose.

8lord, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws;
our heart’s desire is to glorify your name.
lord, you will grant us peace;
all we have accomplished is really from you.
9But those who die in the lord will live;
their bodies will rise again!

Lord God,
My sole purpose is to Glorify you, Remove any desire in me that separates me from you. Grant a peace in me that will not be defeated by this world. All good I do is from you and for you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

So hard to “see”

It is beyond my power to do this,” Joseph replied. “But God can tell you what it means and set you at ease.”

Pharaoh asked his officials, “Can we find anyone else like this man so obviously filled with the spirit of God?”

“God has made me fruitful in this land of my grief.”

Jacob exclaimed, “You are robbing me of my children! Joseph is gone! Simeon is gone! And now you want to take Benjamin, too. Everything is going against me!”

Joseph admitted without hesitation his power comes from God. Even non believers see God is with him. How often is God putting a path in front of us we can’t see because we are not looking for it.

Lord God, please remove items in my life that block your will from my life.

Why do I complain so.

“Why are you treating me, your servant, so harshly? Have mercy on me! What did I do to deserve the burden of all these people?
If this is how you intend to treat me, just go ahead and kill me. Do me a favor and spare me this misery!”
Then the lord said to Moses, “Has my arm lost its power?

But Caleb tried to quiet the people as they stood before Moses. “Let’s go at once to take the land,” he said. “We can certainly conquer it!”
But the other men who had explored the land with him disagreed. “We can’t go up against them! They are stronger than we are!

Moses did not ask to lead the people, the Lord chose him for he was the most humble of the people. Yet he still complained to the Lord when the people complained to him then the Lord reassured him.
Caleb knew the Lord walked with him but the other scouts only saw the obstacles.

Lord God, help me to live in your power and purpose and not focus on obstacles in my path.

In Jesus name,
Amen

What temples do I have?

What a privilege for your officials to stand here day after day, listening to your wisdom! 9Praise the lord your God, who delights in you and has placed you on the throne
he refused to follow the lord completely, as his father, David, had done.
Solomon built such shrines for all his foreign wives to use for burning incense and sacrificing to their gods.

How hard it is to protect yourself from being lead away from God by the temptations of this world. Women separated Solomon from his relentless pursuit of God and he built temples for them to worship their gods. What temples do I have in my life I need to tear down and return to a complete attention on God relationship.

Lord God,

may all my Cries be to the Lord.

In that wonderful day when the lord gives his people rest from sorrow and fear,
Their cries of distress can be heard all along the road to Horonaim.
A cry of distress echoes through the land of Moab

I need to cry out to the lord, not just cry out in despair.

Lord God,
Help me to give you all my attention to look on the challenges in my life as an opportunity to come to you for advice. Humble me to only listen to you and not my past.
In Jesus name,
Amen

Wow morning

For those who live in a land of deep darkness,
a light will shine.
But the king of Assyria will not understand that he is my tool;
his mind does not work that way.
His plan is simply to destroy,

But can the ax boast greater power than the person who uses it?
Is the saw greater than the person who saws?
Can a rod strike unless a hand moves it?
Can a wooden cane walk by itself?

the survivors in the house of Jacob,
will no longer depend on allies
who seek to destroy them.
But they will faithfully trust the lord,
the Holy One of Israel.

And the Spirit of the lord will rest on him—
the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and might,
the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the lord.
3He will delight in obeying the lord.
He will not judge by appearance
nor make a decision based on hearsay.

Lord God, help me to understand your way, may my mind work according to your way. Release me from my own understanding and allow my way to be your way. Give power to my faith so I may turn wholeheartedly to you. Help me to yield to you as a tool for you to guide. Help me to banish the beliefs I have in my wisdom and trust in you only. May your spirit rest on me. May I delight in obeying you.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Do I blame God for my failure?

Unless your faith is firm,
I cannot make you stand firm.”
“Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do,
and don’t live in dread of what frightens them.
13Make the lord of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life.
He is the one you should fear.

I ask God to fix me, help me see my sin, give me power to overcome. How much do I own my sin, my faith.

Lord God,
Help me in my faith so I may have the power from you to overcome. Help me to own my sin so I may expel it in your name.
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen
