Don’t you remember anything at all? 19When I fed the 5,000 with five loaves of bread, how many baskets of leftovers did you pick up afterward?”
“Twelve,” they said.
20“And when I fed the 4,000 with seven loaves, how many large baskets of leftovers did you pick up?”
“Seven,” they said.
21“Don’t you understand yet?” he asked them.

“Get away from me, Satan!” he said. “You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.”

“What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.”
24The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!”

So if the Holy Spirit lives in me, can other spirits also be in me. Could that be where the struggle comes from. Why I do what I don’t want to and don’t do what I want to.

Lord God,
come into me and identify the evil that lives in me and cast it out. Protect me from desires that are not of you. Allow my spirit to be fully obedient to you.

Then the king deeply regretted what he had said; but because of the vows he had made in front of his guests, he couldn’t refuse her. 27So he immediately sent an executioner to the prison to cut off John’s head and bring it to him.

Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them.

They were totally amazed, 52for they still didn’t understand the significance of the miracle of the loaves. Their hearts were too hard to take it in.

For you ignore God’s law and substitute your own tradition.”

“Good answer!” he said. “Now go home, for the demon has left your daughter.”

Lord God,
Be with me today and help me to put you first before any decision I make today, May I have no regrets and may I hear Good answer from you today with all decisions I make.

Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.”

Lord God,
Allow me to hear and see. Open my eyes and ears to hear and see you.

And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”

He looked around at them angrily and was deeply saddened by their hard hearts.

Then he looked at those around him and said, “Look, these are my mother and brothers. 35Anyone who does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.”

Lord God, Forgive my sins and guide me on a path today that will lead to your Joy.

For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18If you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God, and others will approve of you, too.

All glory to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, forever. Amen.

Lord God,
May I live a life of peace and goodness in ALL areas of my life. May I serve Joyfully and delight in you.

plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.

Always be eager to practice hospitality.

And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.

Lord God,
I have a lifetime of bad habits to surrender to you, Lord take them from me and allow me to treat the temple you allowed me to use for your glory alone and help me release the focus of my mind from this place and give you full control.

For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. 8That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.

“All day long I opened my arms to them,
but they were disobedient and rebellious.”

Lord God,
Remove in me my sinful nature and allow your nature to live freely in me.

Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.

Oh, what joy for those
whose disobedience is forgiven,
whose sins are put out of sight.
8Yes, what joy for those
whose record the lord has cleared of sin.”

If God’s promise is only for those who obey the law, then faith is not necessary and the promise is pointless. 15For the law always brings punishment on those who try to obey it. (The only way to avoid breaking the law is to have no law to break!)

Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey?

it was the law that showed me my sin. I would never have known that coveting is wrong if the law had not said, “You must not covet.” 8But sin used this command to arouse all kinds of covetous desires within me! If there were no law, sin would not have that power.

But how can that be? Did the law, which is good, cause my death? Of course not! Sin used what was good to bring about my condemnation to death. So we can see how terrible sin really is. It uses God’s good commands for its own evil purposes.

Lord God,
Release a Joy in my faith that is all consuming and defeats the desires of sin in my life. May I walk joyfully with you and not allow sin to influence my desires, protect my desires from my sinful nature and replace it with a powerful Joy that can not be compromised. May we delight in each other.

For merely listening to the law doesn’t make us right with God. It is obeying the law that makes us right in his sight.

And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people.

Well then, if we emphasize faith, does this mean that we can forget about the law? Of course not! In fact, only when we have faith do we truly fulfill the law.

To know what is rite is not enough, I must live rite by faith.

Lord God,
I thank you for my faith, I need my faith to be the only force behind my actions. Lord God empower my faith and make it strong and help me to surrender my will to you.
