Don’t waste your breath on fools,for they will despise the wisest advice.

O my son, give me your heart.May your eyes take delight in following my ways.

A little extra sleep, a little more slumber,a little folding of the hands to rest—34then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit;scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.

Lord God my Father,

Keep me in your thoughts, protect me from poor decisions. Allow me to be your will in this world around me, keep me busy in your work.

To acquire wisdom is to love yourself;people who cherish understanding will prosper.

Discipline your children while there is hope.Otherwise you will ruin their lives.

You can make many plans,but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.

The Lord directs our steps,so why try to understand everything along the way?

Lord God my Father,

I am a fool on my own, I need you to give me direction. Expose my way that separates me from you, make my plan and protect me from straying. It is in your plan I find peace.

We can make our own plans,but the Lord gives the right answer.2People may be pure in their own eyes,but the Lord examines their motives.3Commit your actions to the Lord,and your plans will succeed.

May my plans only honor you, show me where I have strayed and bring me completely under your authority.

As I learn your righteous regulations,I will thank you by living as I should! I will obey your decrees.Please don’t give up on me!

Be good to your servant,that I may live and obey your word. Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instructions.

Lord God my Father,

I now know I am completely lost without you, protect me from the desire Satan places in my path.

Foolishness brings joy to those with no sense;a sensible person stays on the right path.

A cheerful look brings joy to the heart;good news makes for good health.

Fear of the Lord teaches wisdom;humility precedes honor.

Lord God my Father,

Make me wise, keep me on your path and reveal my selfish way. I wish to have your will as my guide.

Keep me from lying to myself;give me the privilege of knowing your instructions.30I have chosen to be faithful;I have determined to live by your regulations.31I cling to your laws.Lord, don’t let me be put to shame!32I will pursue your commands,for you expand my understanding.

Hatred stirs up quarrels,but love makes up for all offenses.

Lord God my Father,

You designed me with a purpose, help me to turn from my way and towards your way. I wish to live in the peace you designed me to live in.

My child, don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment.Hang on to them,22for they will refresh your soul.

God said to Solomon, “Because your greatest desire is to help your people, and you did not ask for wealth, riches, fame, or even the death of your enemies or a long life, but rather you asked for wisdom and knowledge to properly govern my people—12I will certainly give you the wisdom and knowledge you requested.

O God, you have taught me from my earliest childhood,and I constantly tell others about the wonderful things you do.18Now that I am old and gray,do not abandon me, O God.Let me proclaim your power to this new generation,your mighty miracles to all who come after me.

I trust you, make my heart unconditional, give me your counsel and use me to share your way. Help me to serve others as to your peace and life. Make me your witness.
