So he declared he would destroy them.
But Moses, his chosen one, stepped between the Lord and the people.
He begged him to turn from his anger and not destroy them.

He calmed the storm to a whisper
and stilled the waves.

Lord God my Father,
You are just in your anger for my disobedience and I accept your punishment. Heal me from my rebellion and deliver me to your peace. Give me courage to do your will at all times.

The Lord takes pleasure in all he has made!

All this happened so they would follow his decrees
and obey his instructions.

If I had not confessed the sin in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened.
19But God did listen!
He paid attention to my prayer.
20Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer
or withdraw his unfailing love from me.

Lord God my Father,
I admit, I am weak and I disappoint not only myself but you. I need your strength and your will to fill me so I may grow out of my way and into yours.

Joyful are those you discipline, Lord,
those you teach with your instructions.
13You give them relief from troubled times
until a pit is dug to capture the wicked.
14The Lord will not reject his people;
he will not abandon his special possession.
15Judgment will again be founded on justice,
and those with virtuous hearts will pursue it.

Lord God my Father,
Cleanse my soul, remove the sin I fell to in my past. Give me your power to be righteous in this world, above all temptation. Give me a heart hardened to the injustice of this world. May I serve only you this day.

My faithfulness and unfailing love will be with him,
and by my authority he will grow in power.

Let us, your servants, see you work again;
let our children see your glory.
17And may the Lord our God show us his approval
and make our efforts successful.

Thank you for your love for me, remove my past and allow me to serve you free from my ignorance and selfish ways of my youth.

For I recognize my rebellion;
it haunts me day and night.
4Against you, and you alone, have I sinned;
I have done what is evil in your sight.

Come with great power, O God, and rescue me!
Defend me with your might.
2Listen to my prayer, O God.
Pay attention to my plea.

You created me for good and I chose rebellion in my past, forgive me and deliver me to your side in the present. I broke your heart so many times, forgive me and delight in me today. Renew my heart to how you created it and protect me from the lies I have followed. Be with me this day and lead me to your purpose.

But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me.
If you keep to my path,
I will reveal to you the salvation of God.”

Everything I have or will ever have is from you. Thank you for your generosity i giving me more than I need. Help me to stay humble with all you have given and will give to me in the future. It is all from your generous spirit I thrive. May I be obedient to you now and forever.

I strain to understand, open my heart to your desire so I may understand your way, May I understand and have the strength to live by your plan. I take joy in doing your will but I struggle with my own sinful way. I am poor in spirit and need your help.

Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.
5Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and he will help you.

I am on the verge of collapse,
facing constant pain.
18But I confess my sins;
I am deeply sorry for what I have done.

Lord God my Father,
May I find delight in you above all other things, may you satisfy me alone. Take from me the things that are not of you, bring peace to my soul. I confess I am a sinner and I need deliverance from my ways.
