But Jacob insisted, “No, if I have found favor with you, please accept this gift from me. And what a relief to see your friendly smile. It is like seeing the face of God! 11Please take this gift I have brought you, for God has been very gracious to me. I have more than enough.” And because Jacob insisted, Esau finally accepted the gift.

Lord God my Father,

You are ever gracious and forgiving. Your Love inspires me to complete surrender, to live under your authority. I give you my life, take my desires and make them yours, I wish to only have your desire in me.

In Jesus name I pray,

But if I must lose my children, so be it.”

Then Joseph hurried from the room because he was overcome with emotion for his brother. He went into his private room, where he broke down and wept. 

“Please, come closer,” he said to them. So they came closer. And he said again, “I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold into slavery in Egypt. 5But don’t be upset, and don’t be angry with yourselves for selling me to this place. It was God who sent me here ahead of you to preserve your lives.

So it was God who sent me here, not you! And he is the one who made me an adviser45:8 Hebrew a father. to Pharaoh—the manager of his entire palace and the governor of all Egypt.

Lord God my Father,

May I place my life in your hands and allow you free rein of my thoughts and actions. May I only be a blessing to you and trust your plan for me completely.

The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master.

1But the Lord was with Joseph in the prison and showed him his faithful love.

Pharaoh’s chief cup-bearer, however, forgot all about Joseph, never giving him another thought.

Lord God my Father,

I ask you to create an overwhelming desire to be obedient to you, be with me and use me for your glory in all areas. Help me to remove the false idols in my life that weaken me.

In Jesus name I pray,

So Jacob told everyone in his household, “Get rid of all your pagan idols, purify yourselves, and put on clean clothing.

Lord God my Father,

Be with me and point out the areas of my life I have not surrendered to you. Purify me and use me completely for your Glory.

In Jesus name I pray,

Then Jacob made this vow: “If God will indeed be with me and protect me on this journey, and if he will provide me with food and clothing, 21and if I return safely to my father’s home, then the Lord will certainly be my God. 22And this memorial pillar I have set up will become a place for worshiping God, and I will present to God a tenth of everything he gives me.”

was no sparkle in Leah’s eyes,

26“It’s not our custom here to marry off a younger daughter ahead of the firstborn,” Laban replied. 27“But wait until the bridal week is over; then we’ll give you Rachel, too—provided you promise to work another seven years for me.”

Lord God my Father,

May I live as you wish not in my own selfish way and create Glory to you. May I have discernment over the wicked ways Satan attempts to draw me off your path.

Esau ate the meal, then got up and left. He showed contempt for his rights as the firstborn. Gen 25:34

Lord God my Father,

Help me to grow ever mindful of your blessings in my life and not take them for granted. Protect me from the ways of this world and keep my heart sensitive to your peace.

“I am angry with you and your two friends, for you have not spoken accurately about me, as my servant Job has. Job 42:7

Lord God my Father,

I humble myself under your authority, I can’t understand you, I am too small to. Help me to allow your desire to flow thru me where I stay out of your way.

In the dream God responded, “Yes, I know you are innocent. That’s why I kept you from sinning against me, Gen 20:6

The Lord kept his word and did for Sarah exactly what he had promised. 

Then God opened Hagar’s eyes, and she saw a well full of water.  Gen 21:19

Lord God my Father,

Give me strength to keep my heart pure, remove the temptations I have struggled with and deliver me to a place of peace. I wish to trust you without compromise and have expectations of deliverance from my past.

And Abraham picked up the knife to kill his son as a sacrifice.  Gen 22:10

14Abraham named the place Yahweh-Yireh (which means “the Lord will provide”). 

Because you have obeyed me and have not withheld even your son, your only son, I swear by my own name that 17I will certainly bless you.

The man bowed low and worshiped the Lord. 27“Praise the Lord, the God of my master, Abraham,” he said. “The Lord has shown unfailing love and faithfulness to my master, for he has led me straight to my master’s relatives.”

“Well,” they said, “we’ll call Rebekah and ask her what she thinks.” 58So they called Rebekah. “Are you willing to go with this man?” they asked her.And she replied, “Yes, I will go.”

Lord God my Father,

I wish to remove any doubt as to our ability to run my life better than I do, and allow you complete use of me. Lord God, I am only a fool on my own, I have proven it over and over. Open my eyes and spirit to your plan for the rest of my life, may I only bring you glory in what I do.

And Abram built an altar there and dedicated it to the Lord,

‘Can an old woman like me have a baby?’ Is anything too hard for the Lord? Gen 18:13

Sarah was afraid, so she denied it, saying, “I didn’t laugh. Gen 18:15

If I find fifty righteous people 
Suppose there are only forty-five 
Suppose there are only forty?”
suppose only thirty
Since I have dared to speak to the Lord, let me continue—suppose there are only twenty?”
“Lord, please don’t be angry with me if I speak one more time. Suppose only ten
And the Lord replied, “Then I will not destroy it for the sake of the ten.”

Lord God my Father,

May I give you glory in all blessings I receive large and small, may I acknowledge it all comes from you. May I trust in your power beyond my understanding and have courage to step past my comfort and grow in boldness in trusting you to do amazing things yet in my life.
