I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors,for you have given me wisdom and strength.You have told me what we asked of you

If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. 18But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.”

Tell them all this, but do not expect them to listen. Shout out your warnings, but do not expect them to respond. 28Say to them, ‘This is the nation whose people will not obey the Lord their God and who refuse to be taught. Truth has vanished from among them; it is no longer heard on their lips. 29Shave your head in mourning, and weep alone on the mountains. For the Lord has rejected and forsaken this generation that has provoked his fury.’

Lord God my Father,

Thank you for loving me and I pray I can do your work this day. Help me to stand in your strength, mine is way too small.

You will be my people, and I will be your God.”

Look! The Lord’s anger bursts out like a storm, a driving wind that swirls down on the heads of the wicked. The fierce anger of the Lord will not diminish until it has finished all he has planned. In the days to come you will understand all this.

Lord God my Father,

You are my God and I am yours. Allow your peace to rest on me as I understand your in control and I am not. May I be used to reveal your Glory.

God gave these four young men an unusual aptitude for understanding every aspect of literature and wisdom. And God gave Daniel the special ability to interpret the meanings of visions and dreams.

Lord God my Father,

Give me your discernment and your discipline to live all areas of my life the way you desire. Take Satan’s deceit and protect me from it.

Neither the king nor his attendants showed any signs of fear or repentance at what they heard. 25Even when Elnathan, Delaiah, and Gemariah begged the king not to burn the scroll, he wouldn’t listen.

I will pour out on them and on all the people of Jerusalem and Judah all the disasters I promised, for they would not listen to my warnings.’”

Lord God my Father,

Help me to hear your warnings and move forward under your direction. Help me to pass on your glory.

But if you stop your sinning and begin to obey the Lord your God, he will change his mind about this disaster that he has announced against you.

But did King Hezekiah and the people kill him for saying this? No, they turned from their sins and worshiped the Lord. They begged him for mercy. Then the Lord changed his mind about the terrible disaster he had pronounced against them. So we are about to do ourselves great harm.”

Lord God my Father,

Keep me under your authority, remove the sinful desire from my heart. Allow me to delight in you in all things.

On that day you will no longer need to be ashamed,for you will no longer be rebels against me.I will remove all proud and arrogant people from among you.There will be no more haughtiness on my holy mountain. 12 Those who are left will be the lowly and humble,

For the Lord your God is living among you.He is a mighty savior.He will take delight in you with gladness.With his love, he will calm all your fears.3:17 Or He will be silent in his love. Greek and Syriac versions read He will renew you with his love.He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

Lord God my Father,

Allow me to rest in your peace and clean me completely, from my thoughts to my actions I want to serve you.

Never before had there been a king like Josiah, who turned to the Lord with all his heart and soul and strength, obeying all the laws of Moses. 

Lord God my Father,

Help me to turn my heart only to you and protect me from distraction.

This is what the Lord says:“Stop at the crossroads and look around.Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it.Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls.But you reply, ‘No, that’s not the road we want!’

Lord God my Father,

I am always at the crossroads, Keep me fixed on your direction and protect me from poor choices.

“Yes, we’re coming,” the people reply,“for you are the Lord our God. Our worship of idols on the hills and our religious orgies on the mountains are a delusion. Only in the Lord our God will Israel ever find salvation. From childhood we have watched as everything our ancestors worked for—their flocks and herds, their sons and daughters—was squandered on a delusion. Let us now lie down in shame and cover ourselves with dishonor,for we and our ancestors have sinned against the Lord our God.From our childhood to this day we have never obeyed him.”

Yet you say to me,‘Father, you have been my guide since my youth.5Surely you won’t be angry forever!Surely you can forget about it!’So you talk,but you keep on doing all the evil you can.”

“Return home, you wayward children,”says the Lord,

“if you wanted to return to me, you could.You could throw away your detestable idols and stray away no more. Then when you swear by my name, saying,‘As surely as the Lord lives,’you could do so with truth, justice, and righteousness.Then you would be a blessing to the nations of the world,and all people would come and praise my name.”

“My people are foolish and do not know me,” says the Lord.“They are stupid children who have no understanding.They are clever enough at doing wrong,but they have no idea how to do right!”

Lord God my Father,

Expose my idols, allow me to see my weakness and turn away from it. Use me for your desire, Give me your wisdom in my thoughts.

The Lord spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they ignored all his warnings.

“Get up and prepare for action.Go out and tell them everything I tell you to say.Do not be afraid of them,or I will make you look foolish in front of them. 18 For see, today I have made you strong like a fortified city that cannot be captured,like an iron pillar or a bronze wall.You will stand against the whole land—the kings, officials, priests, and people of Judah. 19 They will fight you, but they will fail.For I am with you, and I will take care of you.I, the Lord, have spoken!”

“For my people have done two evil things:They have abandoned me—the fountain of living water.And they have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that can hold no water at all!

You will see what an evil, bitter thing it is to abandon the Lord your God and not to fear him.I, the Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!

Lord God my Father,

Help me to hear, Open my heart to your desire. He it to grow so strong I am blind to distraction. Give me courage and boldness to speak your Truth only.
