“I am the one who called for the census! I am the one who has sinned and done wrong! But these people are as innocent as sheep—what have they done? O Lord my God, let your anger fall against me and my family, but do not destroy your people.”

 I will not take what is yours and give it to the Lord. I will not present burnt offerings that have cost me nothing!

Lord God my Father,

I accept the fact I have sinned against you and pray for your forgiveness. Don’t punish my family, cleanse me from my past and bless me in the present. Open my eyes to your glory so I may spread it to those around me.

O Lord our God, you answered them.You were a forgiving God to them,but you punished them when they went wrong.

Lord God my Father,

Open my ears so I may hear you and give me a heart to hear your truth.

He led me to a place of safety;he rescued me because he delights in me.

For I have kept the ways of the Lord;I have not turned from my God to follow evil.

You protect me and give me victory. Lord God , help me to seek your wisdom and strength in all things and keep me in your ways.

I thirst for God, the living God.

Lord God my Father,

I praise you for the joy you place in my heart even in the hard times. I seek you to be my guide this day, allow me to do your will above my own.

 “What can I do for you? How can I make amends so that you will bless the Lord’s people again?”

Lord God my Father,

Please help me to rid myself from my past where I was foolish. I wish to make an amends and seek forgiveness so I may live in the now completely under your authority alone. Remove Satan’s ability to weaken me.

My victory and honor come from God alone.He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.8O my people, trust in him at all times.Pour out your heart to him,for God is our refuge.

You are all things good in me. I trust your way. Help me to release all things to your control and find rest in your presence.

“If you think that’s the best plan, I’ll do it,” the king answered. 

“O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom! If only I had died instead of you! O Absalom, my son, my son.”

Lord God my Father,

Help me to understand your plan without interfering with my thoughts, I wish to submit to all your desire for me without wondering from your plan. May I only listen to your counsel and love as you do without compromise.

Offer sacrifices in the right spirit,and trust the Lord.

Give your burdens to the Lord,and he will take care of you.He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.

Lord God my Father,

Make my heart clean from my past so I can join you now in the moment with a clean, joyful heart. Help me to see the burdens you wish to carry for me.

“At last I know that I have gained your approval, my lord the king, for you have granted me this request!”

Lord God my Father,

Give me a heart that only hears you. I only want to do your will.

Restore to me the joy of your salvation,and make me willing to obey you.13Then I will teach your ways to rebels,and they will return to you.

Lord God my Father,

Thank your for your patience, waiting for me to desire you more than my rebellion. Thank you for forgiving my past poor decisions. Help me to live in this new truth, your truth. Restore me to your desire.
