All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace.

And it is I who have created the destroyer to wreak havoc; 17no weapon forged against you will prevail,

You cannot fast as you do today and expect your voice to be heard on high. 5Is this the kind of fast I have chosen, only a day for people to humble themselves?

Lord God my Father,

Open my heart so I may know you in ways that can draw others to know you. Protect me from my way during struggle and help me to look past it to find the wisdom and strength intended for me. Help me to serve you as you desire without my selfish ways getting involved.

In Jesus name I pray,

I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.”

See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;

“Yes, captives will be taken from warriors, and plunder retrieved from the fierce; I will contend with those who contend with you, and your children I will save.

The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary.

See, my servant will act wisely; he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.

For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand.

Lord God my Father,

Use me to share your light, make your desire known to me. Help me to see your plan above my expectations and act wisely in all situations giving you praise in all things. Help me to hear and see, make your understanding mine.

Did the gods of the nations that were destroyed by my predecessors deliver them—the gods of Gozan, Harran, Rezeph and the people of Eden who were in Tel Assar? 

For out of Jerusalem will come a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors.

“The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

Restore us, Lord God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.

Lord God my Father,

You are the only God, help me to surrender anything I may put before you in my life and live in your design. Help me to stand out and live your desire louder than mine. Keep me from hesitation when you inspire me and share your will to be done.

I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God.

I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.

It is I who made the earth and created mankind on it. My own hands stretched out the heavens; I marshaled their starry hosts.

“There is no peace,” says the Lord, “for the wicked.”

Lord God my Father,

You are the maker of all and the only one. Help me to find your way within me and give me discernment over the darkness I have found so I may release it and be made whole in you. Help me to allow your Peace to be my only strength in this day.

those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

I look but there is no one— no one among the gods to give counsel, no one to give answer when I ask them.

29See, they are all false! Their deeds amount to nothing; their images are but wind and confusion.

I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, 7to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.

Lord God my Father,

You are my hope and strength, help me to keep my focus on this truth. Keep me from being distracted by fear or confusion, allow only your Peace to be in my thoughts. Give my thoughts good counsel and keep me in your Truth.

This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid of what you have heard—those words with which the underlings of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.

Have you not heard? Long ago I ordained it. In days of old I planned it; now I have brought it to pass, that you have turned fortified cities into piles of stone.

Lord God my Father,

Give me a faith that protects me from fear and cause me to thrive in what I put my hands to. Give me a confidence that you are in control of all things and I need not question your plan. Cause me to follow you without my expectations getting in the way.

“Hear the words of the great king, the king of Assyria! 14This is what the king says: Do not let Hezekiah deceive you. He cannot deliver you! 15Do not let Hezekiah persuade you to trust in the Lord when he says, ‘The Lord will surely deliver us; this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.’

Lord God my Father,

Let me get my strength from you and not allow fear to distract me. Help me to do your will without hesitation.

“In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it. 16You said, ‘No, we will flee on horses.’

Lord God my Father,

Help me be still and allow your desire to flow through me this day.

His God instructs him and teaches him the right way.

but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me

When they see among them their children, the work of my hands, they will keep my name holy;

Those who are wayward in spirit will gain understanding; those who complain will accept instruction.”

Lord God my Father,

Instruct me and cause me to be obedient, turn my heart to only know you. Your glory is all around me and humbles me. Direct me to your path and keep me from straying off it.

But the more they were called, the more they went away from me. They sacrificed to the Baals and they burned incense to images.

My people are determined to turn from me. Even though they call me God Most High, I will by no means exalt them.

When I fed them, they were satisfied; when they were satisfied, they became proud; then they forgot me.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to not turn from you and follow you without my opinion getting in the way. I am a stubborn sinner desperately wanting to live by your plan which is so much more delightful than anything I could imagine. Keep me from getting proud as your Peace grows in me and make me a seeker of you in all situations I experience.
