How long, O Lord, must I call for help? But you do not listen! “Violence is everywhere!” I cry, but you do not come to save.3Must I forever see these evil deeds? Why must I watch all this misery? Wherever I look, I see destruction and violence. I am surrounded by people who love to argue and fight.4The law has become paralyzed, and there is no justice in the courts. The wicked far outnumber the righteous, so that justice has become perverted.

“Look around at the nations; look and be amazed!1:5 Greek version reads Look, you mockers; / look and be amazed and die. Compare Acts 13:41.For I am doing something in your own day, something you wouldn’t believe even if someone told you about it.

Gather together—yes, gather together, you shameless nation.2Gather before judgment begins, before your time to repent is blown away like chaff. Act now, before the fierce fury of the Lord falls and the terrible day of the Lord’s anger begins.3Seek the Lord, all who are humble, and follow his commands. Seek to do what is right and to live humbly. Perhaps even yet the Lord will protect you—protect you from his anger on that day of destruction.

Lord God my Father,

I am broken and weak, I am nothing on my own. Lord God, fill me with your strength and purpose, inspire me to carry you in all areas of my life.

This is the city to be punished,for she is wicked through and through.7She spouts evil like a fountain.Her streets echo with the sounds of violence and destruction.I always see her sickness and sores.

you were sorry and humbled yourself before the Lord when you heard what I said against this city and its people—that this land would be cursed and become desolate. You tore your clothing in despair and wept before me in repentance. And I have indeed heard you, says the Lord. 20So I will not send the promised disaster until after you have died and been buried in peace. You will not see the disaster I am going to bring on this city.’”

Lord God my Father,

Cleanse me to the point I can represent you well, bring me into the world and inspire me to witness your desire well. Allow your hope to flow thru me.

Lord, you are searching for honesty.You struck your people,but they paid no attention.You crushed them,but they refused to be corrected.They are determined, with faces set like stone;they have refused to repent.

Lord God my Father,

Clear my heart from compromise, make me whole under your authority. Bring boldness and compassion in my words for your glory.

 Manasseh sought the Lord his God and sincerely humbled himself before the God of his ancestors. 13And when he prayed, the Lord listened to him and was moved by his request. So the Lord brought Manasseh back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh finally realized that the Lord alone is God!

Lord God my Father,

I am arrogant and don’t know you, please direct my path and keep me under your authority.

Lord, why have you allowed us to turn from your path? Why have you given us stubborn hearts so we no longer fear you?

Oh, that you would burst from the heavens and come down! How the mountains would quake in your presence!264:2 Verses 64:2-12 are numbered 64:1-11 in Hebrew text. As fire causes wood to burn and water to boil, your coming would make the nations tremble. Then your enemies would learn the reason for your fame!

We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind.7Yet no one calls on your name or pleads with you for mercy. Therefore, you have turned away from us and turned us over64:7 As in Greek, Syriac, and Aramaic versions; Hebrew reads melted us. to our sins.

Lord God my Father,

Soften my heart, help me to turn away from my desire, place only your desire before me. Purify me from my past, forgive my arrogance and restore my soul.

It’s your sins that have cut you off from God.Because of your sins, he has turned awayand will not listen anymore.

Hold me close, direct me to do your will, remove my smarter than you attitude so I may live completely under your authority. I wish to live as designed by you so I may experience and pass your Peace to others.

Who has believed our message? To whom has the Lord revealed his powerful arm?

I will comfort those who mourn,19bringing words of praise to their lips. May they have abundant peace, both near and far, ”says the Lord, who heals them.20“But those who still reject me are like the restless sea, which is never still but continually churns up mud and dirt.21There is no peace for the wicked, ”says my God.

Lord God my Father,

Keep my thoughts close so I may hear only you in the noise around me, bring your peace on me so I am not distracted by the world.

Allow your peace to rest on me, keep my path directed towards you, Reveal your desire for me.

Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me.10 Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass,
