“You are blessed, Simon son of John,16:17 Greek Simon bar-Jonah; see John 1:42; 21:15-17. because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being. 

Now I say to you that you are Peter  and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it. 19And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.”

And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?8:36 Or your self? also in 8:37. 37Is anything worth more than your soul? 38If anyone is ashamed of me and my message in these adulterous and sinful days, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

Lord God my Father,

Open my eyes today to see the path you desire for me, give me strength to resist distraction. Use me to touch others to seek you.

“That’s true, Lord, but even the dogs under the table are allowed to eat the scraps from the children’s plates.”

“Dear woman,” Jesus said to her, “your faith is great. Your request is granted.” 

Lord God my Father,

Purify my heart to have the boldness you desire, grant me the faith to trust you in all things.

“I tell you the truth, you want to be with me because I fed you, not because you understood the miraculous signs. 

“This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”

For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do my own will. 

‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from him comes to me. 

But the words you speak come from the heart—that’s what defiles you. 19For from the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander.

Lord God my Father,

Grow my understanding so I can see more of you. Allow my belief to be simple, without my desire changing it to suit me. Deliver me from my will to the will you designed for me. Teach me how to come to you so all the words from my heart honor you.

“Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.”

Then Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up. 9“There’s a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd?”

 “Now gather the leftovers, so that nothing is wasted.” 13So they picked up the pieces and filled twelve baskets with scraps left by the people who had eaten from the five barley loaves.

 “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage! I am here!6:50 Or The ‘I Am’ is here; Greek reads I am. See Exod 3:14.

They begged him to let the sick touch at least the fringe of his robe, and all who touched him were healed.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to seek your rest for me so I my be at my best for you. Help me to see your power above the limits I have and be obedient to what ever you ask. Give me a faith that believes.

 “Because of your faith, it will happen.” 

And because of their unbelief, he couldn’t do any miracles among them except to place his hands on a few sick people and heal them. 6And he was amazed at their unbelief.

So the disciples went out, telling everyone they met to repent of their sins and turn to God. 13And they cast out many demons and healed many sick people, anointing them with olive oil.

“Look, I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. So be as shrewd as snakes and harmless as doves.

Lord God my Father,

Thank you for the faith I have found, help me to complete it to live completely under your authority. Use me to do your will and disciple others to seek you. Help me to share your Truth in all situations. Remove my past.

For she thought to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.”

His disciples said to him, “Look at this crowd pressing around you. How can you ask, ‘Who touched me?’”

Then the frightened woman, trembling at the realization of what had happened to her, came and fell to her knees in front of him and told him what she had done. 34And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.”

 “My daughter has just died,” he said, “but you can bring her back to life again if you just come and lay your hand on her.”

Lord God my Father,

Give me the faith you designed me to have, help me to ask for your kingdom beyond my understanding so I may do your will as you wish, without my weakness getting in the way.

To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. 

“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a fishing net that was thrown into the water and caught fish of every kind. 48When the net was full, they dragged it up onto the shore, sat down, and sorted the good fish into crates, but threw the bad ones away. 49That is the way it will be at the end of the world. The angels will come and separate the wicked people from the righteous, 50throwing the wicked into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 51Do you understand all these things?”

Lord God my Father,

Open my ears so I may hear you. Open my eyes so I may see you in all things. Open my heart so you can have your way with me today. Help me to have a faith based view in the storms to come.

“A kingdom divided by civil war will collapse. 25Similarly, a family splintered by feuding will fall apart.

“The people of Nineveh will stand up against this generation on judgment day and condemn it, for they repented of their sins at the preaching of Jonah. Now someone greater than Jonah is here—but you refuse to repent. 

 “Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.”

Lord God my Father,

Bring your Peace on me in a powerful way, allow your Truth to be powerful thru me and direct all attention to you.

“Lord, don’t trouble yourself by coming to my home, for I am not worthy of such an honor. 7I am not even worthy to come and meet you. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed. 8I know this because I am under the authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my soldiers. I only need to say, ‘Go,’ and they go, or ‘Come,’ and they come. And if I say to my slaves, ‘Do this,’ they do it.”

And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing,11:12 Or the Kingdom of Heaven has suffered from violence. and violent people are attacking it.

For John didn’t spend his time eating and drinking, and you say, ‘He’s possessed by a demon.’ 19The Son of Man,11:19 “Son of Man” is a title Jesus used for himself. on the other hand, feasts and drinks, and you say, ‘He’s a glutton and a drunkard, and a friend of tax collectors and other sinners!’ But wisdom is shown to be right by its results.”

And he added, “God blesses those who do not fall away because of me.7:23 Or who are not offended by me.”

Lord God my Father,

Give me the faith you designed me to have, remove all doubt and hesitation, create in me an obedience that shares your desire and gives me strength to overcome my weakness.
