Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May your glory shine over all the earth.

Now rescue your beloved people. Answer and save us by your power.

Have you rejected us, O God? Will you no longer march with our armies?12Oh, please help us against our enemies, for all human help is useless.13With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.

May those curses become the Lord’s punishment for my accusers who speak evil of me.

Lord God my Father,

Your Glory is all that matters, give us strength as we raise your name. Stand with is as we stand for your Truth in the darkness, may those who don’t know you, find you or be defeated.

But after he had taken the census, David’s conscience began to bother him. And he said to the Lord, “I have sinned greatly by taking this census. Please forgive my guilt, Lord, for doing this foolish thing.”

But David was not able to go there to inquire of God, because he was terrified by the drawn sword of the angel of the Lord.

Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or lose heart!

Lord God my Father,

Make my conscience soft towards your desire and hardened from mine. Protect me from decisions based on my strength and keep my focus on you. Show your path to me in powerful ways and give me confidence and strength to follow it boldly.

‘They are a people whose hearts turn away from me. They refuse to do what I tell them.’11So in my anger I took an oath: ‘They will never enter my place of rest.’”

You who love the Lord, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked.

Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise! Let the earth and all living things join in.8Let the rivers clap their hands in glee! Let the hills sing out their songs of joy9before the Lord, for he is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with justice, and the nations with fairness.

Lord God my Father,

Soften my heart that is hardened in my desire and draw me close to your rest. Give me discernment for evil and good and allow your peace to guide me to your purpose. Allow praise to you to flow from me in such a way others will wish to join in. Draw this nation out of the darkness into your light. Your judgement is on us.

So the king went out and took his seat at the town gate, and as the news spread throughout the town that he was there, everyone went to him.

Lead me in the right path, O Lord, or my enemies will conquer me.

My enemies cannot speak a truthful word. Their deepest desire is to destroy others.

Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy.

He led me to a place of safety; he rescued me because he delights in me.

Lord God my Father,

Place me where I need to be even thou it may be uncomfortable. Lead me into what may be difficult to me today so your Glory may be seen, no my struggle. Protect me from the enemy within so your delightful way can rest on me well. Show me how to rest in you.

In Jesus name I pray,

Lord, don’t hold back your tender mercies from me. Let your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me.

But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, “The Lord is great!”17As for me, since I am poor and needy, let the Lord keep me in his thoughts. You are my helper and my savior. O my God, do not delay.

Lord God my Father,

You are my protector, my Father. Your love is perfect and lifts me. Your desire is perfect, allow it to rest on me and your delight be my purpose.

Don’t sin by letting anger control you. Think about it overnight and remain silent.

Lord God my Father,

Thank you for who you are and help me to release all my cares to you. Allow your peace to rest well with me and overwhelm my thoughts so you can have your way with me.

But Amnon had a very crafty friend—his cousin Jonadab. 

But Amnon wouldn’t listen to her, and since he was stronger than she was, he raped her. 15Then suddenly Amnon’s love turned to hate, and he hated her even more than he had loved her. 

yes, Joab sent me and told me what to say. 20He did it to place the matter before you in a different light. But you are as wise as an angel of God, and you understand everything that happens among us!”

Lord God my Father,

Protect me from deceitful words and temptation. Tell me what to say and how to act so your Glory will pass thru me.

You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our savior.

Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what he did for me.17For I cried out to him for help, praising him as I spoke.18If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.19But God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer.20Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw his unfailing love from me.

Lord God my Father,

I am broken and a sinner, Lord God forgive my sin and bring my desire closer to you and give me strength against temptation.

When David saw them whispering, he realized what had happened. “Is the child dead?” he asked. “Yes,” they replied, “he is dead.”20Then David got up from the ground, washed himself, put on lotions,12:20 Hebrew anointed himself. and changed his clothes. He went to the Tabernacle and worshiped the Lord. After that, he returned to the palace and was served food and ate.

David replied, “I fasted and wept while the child was alive, for I said, ‘Perhaps the Lord will be gracious to me and let the child live.’ 23But why should I fast when he is dead? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him one day, but he cannot return to me.”

But when he defied and taunted Israel, he was killed by Jonathan, the son of David’s brother Shimea.

Lord God my Father,

Guide me to carry the proper emotion at the proper time, Keep me moving forward and acting for your Glory.

In Jesus name I pray,

Be courageous! Let us fight bravely for our people and the cities of our God. May the Lord’s will be done.”

In times of trouble, may the Lord answer your cry. May the name of the God of Jacob keep you safe from all harm. May he send you help from his sanctuary and strengthen you from Jerusalem.

Some nations boast of their chariots and horses, but we boast in the name of the Lord our God.8Those nations will fall down and collapse, but we will rise up and stand firm.

Lord God my Father,

Lead me so I may follow your plan as you desire. Help me with my battles and help me to overcome them to reveal your Glory. Protect me from the deceit of this world.
