Freely

And the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after morning. 4So all the skilled workers who were doing all the work on the sanctuary left what they were doing 5and said to Moses, “The people are bringing more than enough for doing the work the Lord commanded to be done.”

Lord God my Father,

Open my heart and remove my hesitation. Help me to serve you in all thing.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Completely His

Whenever the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they all stood and worshiped, each at the entrance to their tent.

If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you.

“If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. 16How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us?

“Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest.

All who were willing, men and women alike, came and brought gold jewelry of all kinds: brooches, earrings, rings and ornaments.

Lord God my Father,

Cause me to be more in a state of worship in all things, may it be constant on my thoughts. Teach me your way and keep me close. If you don’t lead me, keep me from moving. Help me to install a true Sabbath in my life where I can stay focused with your way and Peace. Show me how to serve with all my heart.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Ruthless obedience.

For six days work is to be done, but the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day is to be put to death.

When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.”

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go down, because your people, whom you brought up out of Egypt, have become corrupt. 8They have been quick to turn away from what I commanded them and have made themselves an idol cast in the shape of a calf. They have bowed down to it and sacrificed to it and have said, ‘These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.’

Turn from your fierce anger; relent and do not bring disaster on your people.

“Do not be angry, my lord,” Aaron answered. “You know how prone these people are to evil. 23They said to me, ‘Make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.’

Lord God my Father,

Help me to be obedient to your plan and hold you sacred on a Sabbath, show me what that means. Keep me from trying to understand your way and just trust you. Keep me from sinning and creating idols in my life, help me to destroy the idols I hold. Keep me from your anger and help me to allow you to have your perfect way.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

With me

There I will meet you and speak to you; 43there also I will meet with the Israelites, and the place will be consecrated by my glory.

They will know that I am the Lord their God, who brought them out of Egypt so that I might dwell among them. I am the Lord their God.

Lord God my Father,

Thank you for living in me and being so close, help me to restore the temple you gave me to proper condition. You are creator and sustainer; your will is perfect. Restore me to your design and remove my distracting thoughts.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Right path

I will meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites.

Aaron and his sons are to keep the lamps burning before the Lord from evening till morning. This is to be a lasting ordinance among the Israelites for the generations to come.

Lord God my Father,

Thank you for being so close and giving me discernment over right and wrong. Help me to follow your instructions and not stray.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Obedient now

When Moses went and told the people all the Lord’s words and laws, they responded with one voice, “Everything the Lord has said we will do.”

Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it to the people. They responded, “We will do everything the Lord has said; we will obey.”

To the Israelites the glory of the Lord looked like a consuming fire on top of the mountain.

Lord God my Father,

Give me a heart that not only hears your desires but follows them with proper action. Convince me in my sinful disobedience and give me your strength and purpose to reveal your glory with all my actions. Thank you for your patience, help me to not cause you to exercise it with me by my procrastination.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Blindly follow.

“We will do everything the Lord has said.”

The Lord descended to the top of Mount Sinai and called Moses to the top of the mountain. So Moses went up

“Go down and warn the people so they do not force their way through to see the Lord and many of them perish.

“Speak to us yourself and we will listen. But do not have God speak to us or we will die.”

“Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.”

Wherever I cause my name to be honored, I will come to you and bless you.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to know you and follow your way above my own desires. As I see you in everything around me, help me to not turn from you. Show me where I worship my own desires above you and give me your power to defeat them. Test me and make me strong in my decisions and bless my thoughts and actions.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Delivered all day

“If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death.”

However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them.

“How long will you refuse to keep my commands and my instructions?

So they quarreled with Moses and said, “Give us water to drink.”

because they tested the Lord saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?”

Lord God my Father,

Keep me from focusing on the struggles of the day but to trust on your delivery, you have never let me down. Keep me from acting in defiance of your Peaceful Truth on my own, help me see when I am tempted. Help me to be satisfied with every moment of today.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Blessed, period!

“In days to come, when your son asks you, ‘What does this mean?’ say to him, ‘With a mighty hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.

But I will gain glory for myself through Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord.”

Didn’t we say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!”

Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today.

the entire army of Pharaoh that had followed the Israelites into the sea. Not one of them survived.

Then Moses cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became fit to drink.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to remember the blessings of the past and have expectations of blessing in the future. Help me to trust you to deliver me from all struggles to come and not be afraid.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Quiet Strength

“Go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the hearts of his officials so that I may perform these signs of mine among them 2that you may tell your children and grandchildren how I dealt harshly with the Egyptians and how I performed my signs among them, and that you may know that I am the Lord.”

Pharaoh’s officials said to him, “How long will this man be a snare to us? Let the people go, so that they may worship the Lord their God. Do you not yet realize that Egypt is ruined?”

Pharaoh said, “The Lord be with you—if I let you go, along with your women and children! Clearly you are bent on evil.

Even your women and children may go with you; only leave your flocks and herds behind.”

“Just as you say,” Moses replied. “I will never appear before you again.”

“Pharaoh will refuse to listen to you—so that my wonders may be multiplied in Egypt.”

Lord God my Father,

Keep my heart close to you and cause your stillness to rest well with me. Your plan is perfect, show me how to be quiet and obedient to your peaceful order for me. Allow your stillness and delight to rest on those I come into contact with today so I may represent you well. With your Peace filled strength alive in me, slaughter the darkness that wants to distract me.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen
